This is one of my favorite spots for lunch. Yes lunch. Their bagels are really quite good,…read moreparticularly considering how far south we are. But their lunch is phenomenal. Get the "Our Favorite" sandwich on their house made hoagie roll. The hand pulled turkey is perfectly peppery and unctuous and that schmear of cream cheese goes so well with the avocado and fresh toppings. I get it without the onion but otherwise as it comes is perfect.

The new location in Bluffton is beautiful. It's obvious a great deal of time, effort, and…read moreinvestment went into renovating the space. The restaurant feels clean, inviting, and well thought out. One area that could use improvement is signage. The property has a drive-thru lane and drive-thru windows, which naturally led me to assume there was drive-thru service available. After circling the building, I realizing it wasn't operational, not a major issue, but clearer signage would help eliminate confusion for first-time visitors. Once inside, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which is exactly what I've come to expect from Island Bagel. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the standard I've experienced at their other locations. I ordered the Lowcountry Breakfast Sandwich. The bagel was under-toasted, and the eggs were overcooked. While "stale" may not be the perfect word, the eggs gave the impression that they had been sitting for a while rather than being freshly prepared. The fresh, made-to-order quality I've come to associate with Island Bagel simply wasn't there during this visit. I'm hopeful this experience was an exception rather than the norm. Based on my past experiences with the company, I know they're capable of delivering much better. While this particular visit fell short of my expectations, I would still encourage people to give Island Bagel a try, whether at this location or one of their others. My hope is that this was simply an off day and that future visits better reflect the quality I've come to expect from the brand. Disclaimer: This review is based solely on my first visit to Island Bagel & Deli's new location. It is not necessarily representative of every experience I've had with the company. I've visited other Island Bagel locations in the past and have generally been very impressed. I believe reviews should be honest reflections of a specific experience while also providing constructive feedback that helps both future customers and the business itself.p

If you're a coffee enthusiast, there's coffee of all sorts for now or later, hot or cold and the aroma is throughout the establishment, smelled amazing upon walking in. This visit was all about a sweet treat and they fulfilled my craving. Excellent service with a smile. Chill ambiance. Plenty of seating.

Staff was friendly. But the avocado toast was on ciabatta bread (no one asked what kind of bread we wanted) and it was such a slim layer of avocado. Very disappointed. What I don't know is whether they have changed their toast for all locations and reduced the amount of avocado or was this a fluke or only typical of the Bluffton location. We will go back to the port royal location sometime this week because now I need to know! Oh and we tried the roasted potatoes which I have never tried before. The flavors/herbs were good but the potatoes were not cooked fresh so they were soft/chewy.

One of my friends and I each got a sandwich and decided to split it…read more Although my wrap with turkey stuffing and cranberry was better than her chicken sandwich, they were both very good. Their fries were really really good. The iced tea was fresh brewed and had good flavor. My other girlfriend got a salad and was thrilled with how good the flavor was. The water wasn't bad but I still opted for iced tea. The weather was so nice we were able to eat outside. They do have an outside and inside areas. And the bakery goods looked so good but we were too full to try anything. Our waitress was really good making sure that we got what we needed and that we had refills before we even asked. Bluffton is such a pretty town to walk around.

My wife ordered the macho salad and I ordered the shrimp & grits. Immediately after placing our order, my plate shows up. Wow, that was fast. Meanwhile we wait while they then deliver my salad. Seems a bit out of order but ok. Then we wait. And get a Caesar salad. And advise - not ours. While waiting we hear the server next to us announce the specials - which our server did NOT inform us of as we arrived. My wife would have ordered different. Finally her salad arrives and we eat. My shrimp and grits were sparse on shrimp and were made with mushrooms and reminded me of ingredients found in an omelet. Not a typical flavor. I finished most but not all of it. Just a bit weird. And that 1/2 a biscuits? A lump of flavorless starch. Our server was nice but seems she wasn't as seasoned as other servers nearby. She should inform everyone of the specials. Ask your server if there are specials. Our cocktails were the best part of our meal. And the prices? That bowl of shrimp and grits, along with my simple side salad were a whopping $23. My wife's salad was comparably priced. The dogs split their bowl, which was $10 just a bit much but they did bring us a bowl of water. All-in-all average food, a bit cramped for seating, over priced and a server that needed to up her game.
