I've been here a few times and the drinks are always delicious. I'm one of those people that actually likes the boba so I always add it to my drinks. One of the best things about Kung Fu Tea is that you can adjust the sugar amount in your drink which is huge. They're located on broughton street right next to the popcorn shop and maple street biscuit. It's easy to overlook it so just search for the red awning. Service is always great and the place is always clean. I love that with the app you can earn points which can be redeemed for future drinks and you can order your drink ahead of time so it's ready when you arrive. 10/10 read more

On a recent girls trip to Savannah we had a craving for some boba and Kung fu Tea was above and beyond your average boba shop. The servers were so friendly and helpful in walking us through the menu. The shop had a colorful design motif that felt bright and cheerful. Parking is street parking but we came in the middle of the day and secured a spot nearby without difficulty. I wish there were Kung Fu Tea locations near my home on the west coast, the rose hip lemonade with lychee and mango popping bobas is my fav boba combination I have had anywhere. read more

Kung Fu Tea in Savannah is nice. It is shared with a Poke Bowl spot. The location is great if you're walking around the historic district area, but it's honestly soooo hard to find parking here. Luckily, I've found street parallel parking spot each time (but I hate parking in any city area lollll). This KFT is like any other spot and it's nice! The service is good and they are friendly. Kung Fu Tea has great choices and their boba is delicious. Their rosehip lemonade is so refreshing! The honey oolong is also really refreshing, but can get sweet so adjust the sweetness level. Stopped in for lunch today. It's bowls and bubbles, but the Kung Fu Tea emblem is only on the awning. It was a bit confusing to find since they changed the awning to only say "Kung FunTea" went inside and realized it's both the poke and the tea. I did a build-your-own poke bowl with spicy tuna, marinated tuna, white rice and a whole bunch of delicious toppings. The marinated tuna was by far better than the spicy tuna. Craving some boba tea, I was happy to stumble upon this Kung Fu Tea. Now you can get food and other tasty looking things but for me, I just wanted my go to which is a taro milk tea. I get my drink with 30% less ice and 30% less sweet. To me regular sweet is too much and the regular ice waters it down too much. So I ordered my drink, get my number on the receipt and waited off to the side for my order. This is important. They call your order by number so don't be like me and throw your number away! Fortunately my drink is bright purple so I knew exactly which one it was when they called out the number. On a side note I do think that boba is extra, actually I think it is extra at most places. The drink here was delicious. I loved the milk tea and it was filled with boba. So many tasty boba that pop into your mouth with each sip. I loved it. For around 5-6 bucks, you cant beat it. First of all to know, it's not a normal Kung Fu Tea shop exactly: it's a Bubbles and Bowls or such, they do serve apparently the full Kung Fu Tea menu plus poke bowls, but seem to not have the Taiwanese fried chicken and other Taiwanese snack food I've had at other Kung Fu Tea locations. This may well be due to the size: it's pretty tiny inside, a long, narrow, space which is conducive to ordering to go but still can get crowded. Know that you wait for your drink (tea) orders up front whereas the rear section is where they make and then would give you your poke bowl order, if you get one. The tea is, well, it's Kung Fu Tea, alright. If you love Kung Fu Tea's milk teas, oolongs, and other delights that's what they have here. And the poke bowls do look good as well. I went with two Chinese friends and the lady behind the counter asked if they wanted a Chinese menu, so apparently they have the menu printed also in Chinese, which is a nice touch. I too am not sure why the first review went with a one star rating... It's opening week/weekend apparently! I ordered through the app - get it to earn rewards! My order said it would be ready within 5 minutes. I walked in, waited a minute, and my order was ready. Yes, it was absolutely packed in there, so if you did a walk in order, you probably would have had to wait longer than I did. I had the Rosehip milk tea - this was sweet and slightly tart. I also had the wintermelon milk tea, which was significantly sweeter than the former. I opted for regular sweetness as I wanted to taste the drink as it was intended. I liked both. Maybe I'll come back to these flavors, or maybe I'll try something else next time. Who knows. The boba was on point! Chewy consistency throughout and no disappointing pieces that bunch up together. We spent the weekend in Savannah and stumbled upon a Kung Fu Tea! I didn't realize they had a Kung Fu Tea here so it was a nice surprise. This has got to be one of the best bubble tea chains around, you really can't go wrong with anything you order. I like passion fruit teas and this time I tried the passion fruit slush because it was 80 degrees out in December (what??) and it really helped quench my thirst while tasting amazing! Anyone looking for some great boba tea at a great price. I've been walking all day and my energy was all but gone. My wife was yelling at me to keep up and I was having a crappy day. That was until we stepped foot into this place. The counter people are so sweet and bubbly and very knowledgeable on the product they are selling. The peach oolong tea put the smiles on both my wife' and my face. It was sweet and fruity and very refreshing. I didn't get to grab a salad bowl but what I saw people eating as far as the bowls looked delicious as can be. I had no idea what I was ordering or how to order. I picked Honey Lemonade with no toppings because it was a typical hot and humid Savannah summer. It was labeled as no caffeine too. My first sip was whoa honey! I later learned I could have asked for less sweet. That would have been better. My friend got the S'more slushie with little sweetness and boboa. He said it was still a sweet flavor but not high in sugar tasting. The slushie was great for the heat; not thick or heavy. So excited there's finally a legit boba place in Savannah! It's long overdue. Poke bowls: You go up to the Poke bar to place your order and/or pick your toppings. There are some preset poke bowls you can choose from or you can build your own bowl. It's a pretty good portion for the price. Loved it. Boba: I got their OG Kung fu milk tea with boba and my husband got the longan (a Chinese fruit) tea with boba. They were both really good. Pro tip: if you don't like super sweet beverages, always get 50% sugar when you get bobas because a lot of people think 100% is too sweet. The menu can be intimidating if you have never had bobas before but the OG milk tea + boba is a good place to start. Love that they have lactose-free milk as well! Service: Not great. They just opened and I get that it takes time to train people so hopefully the servers will get better and faster soon. Boba : one of my favourite simple pleasures in life. Im not from Savannah so my review is based on one visit. The boba was definitely not upto standard. Maybe it was just this one batch of tapioca but the boba was more dense than it should be. It was also a odd round, but slightly flat shape instead of a perfect round ball. Lol. In case you don't have time to read this entire review, here's the bottom line: pretty good service, good poke bowls, fantastic boba. THE POKE BOWLS: So For their regular bowls, they give you a good amount of rice, 2 choices of protein and as many toppings as you like for $13. Of course there's an extra charge for extra protein and avocado, but overall pretty reasonable prices. The team members were friendly and accommodating. All in all, very good. The rice was hot and sticky (as it should be), the salmon was fresh, and the other ingredients were quite flavorful. The avocado was a bit brown, the edamame weren't quite moist enough, and the seaweed didn't taste as fresh as I'd like. I got their yum yum and teriyaki sauces, and both were quite tasty. THE BOBA: Okay, so we've had Kung Fu Tea before and we love it. But, even with a solid chain, they don't all always get it right. So did Kung Fu Tea Savannah deliver? Let's just put it this way. We went back for seconds. We initially ordered the coconut milk tea and the taro milk tea, both with boba. So good. The milk tea itself was ridiculously tasty (they give you the option to choose how much sugar you want). We asked for "less" ice, but by the time we got our drinks, the ice had almost dissolved completely. The bubbles were a little too soft at first, but after a few minutes in the cold liquid, they had an ideal consistency. After polishing those off, we got a mango green tea with mango jellies and bubbles and.... it was perfect. Taste, texture, everything. CONCLUSION: There were, of course, kinks to be worked out, as they've only been open for a few days. Hopefully more yelpers will exercise grace and understanding in their reviews in these first few weeks of opening (especially since we are in the middle of an economic crisis), because this place really is a great addition to the Savannah food community. read more
