I came into the Starbucks on Sangamore Road this afternoon and there was one employee working. I paid $4.51 for a small ice tea. The experience of each person ordering and the employee then making the drink was needless to say excruciatingly painful. How and why does $37 billion company operate like this. read more

This is a great Starbucks in the Sanger place shopping center. Great place to come before or after a trip to the next door Safeway grocery store. The staff is friendly and it seems to always be clean in this shop! Easy to social distance because it is spacious. So happy Starbucks is now stocking Oatly oat milk. read more

I love this Starbucks location, but I do understand the reviews as the experience here fluctuated quite a lot even for me over the nearly ten years I've been a frequent customer here. When the crew is experienced this location is one of the best anywhere. When there's been turnover, it is very disorganized and slow. The surrounding shopping center is great - there's a Safeway, CVS, Bethesda Market, Praline's Bakery (amazing desserts!) and more. read more

Their front door slams shut. Every. Time. Loudly. And it will drive you nuts if you try to stay here and work on your MacBook or whatnot. And good luck finding a place to sit. They have a total of 4 two-top tables, a window counter that barely seats 3 adults (maybe 4 kids), and an inward-facing countertop that seats 1, maybe two. Otherwise you're stuck sitting outside on patio furniture but you will still hear that slamming front door, loudly and clearly. Sheesh! Otherwise, the coffee and everything is Starbucks - consistent and as expected. Can't help but think that the slamming door is affecting the morale of the baristas. If not now, very soon. Wow. If I could give 72 stars I WOULD. I came in following a tough day with three friends after visiting a sick loved one and we needed a pick me up. My drink order is a little complicated, and I was worried that I would find judgement from these workers simply trying to get through their work day. Instead, I was greeted by the KINDEST cashier who took my order with open arms and a warm HEART. I encountered ZERO criticism or annoyance from them. Unfortunately I did not catch their name, but I DID get Quinn's name! Quinn was the AMAZING barista who masterfully and skillfully created the art piece that was my cappuccino. They even asked me to walk them through how to properly put together my beverage and asked me to do a taste test before leaving just to be sure it was made to perfection! Shout out to Quinn! There are two times of day I'll avoid this Starbucks and go elsewhere: During rush hour, and after the local schools let out (when it gets descended upon by school kids -- by the way, what the hell are they doing drinking so much caffeine?). It's on the small side; what you see if what you get. No upstairs, no additional back room. Otherwise, it's an above-average Starbucks. They keep it clean, the milk and sugar area is always well-tended, and the folks behind the counter are friendly. My orders are always simple, and they get it right. And best of all, nobody looks at me sideways when I treat myself to an impulse madeleine at checkout. read more

This Starbucks location is... fine. It's relatively quiet, at least whenever I come here to do some work on Saturday afternoons when I have a little break between teaching classes. It doesn't seem to be super busy, probably because of its location. That's really nice, being able to easily find a seat despite it being a really small location. The staff here can sometimes be a little slow in getting orders ready, even when it's not very busy. They're always sweet, though, and customer service goers a long way. They do seem to be a location that is rarely, if ever, fully stocked, though. Both times I've ordered a Honey Citrus Mint tea, they've been out of the Peach Tranquility tea that's required for the tea, so I've had to substitute it for another tea. I've also heard other customers ordering food items that they've been out of each time I'm here, too. Maybe it's just a location that tends to not restock as frequently? Or maybe it's just a Saturday thing? (I don't know the behind-the-scenes of the business, so I can't honestly comment on why this is, but I've never been to a location that consistently has the same items out of stock multiple weeks in a row.) They do seem to recognize and greet their regulars with a great deal of familiarity, though, which is nice. Definitely no complaints about the customer service or the atmosphere. I just can't super highly recommend this location due to the small size and the aforementioned issue of stocking, but it's a nice, quiet place to do some work for a little while. read more

4:43 - arrive at this Starbucks to place an order. No one else is in line, no one else is waiting for a drink. Order a frappuccino and egg and sausage sandwich. 4:50 - two people have come in since I've ordered, placed their orders, and received their drinks already. I inquire as to the status of my order, and am told my sandwich and frappuccino will be ready shortly. 4:54 - my frappuccino is set on the counter. It is the consistency of water, and about as flavorful. 4:56 - ask again about when the sandwich will be ready, and the guy looks confused, as if I hadn't ordered a sandwich and didn't already ask about it once. 5:04 - sandwich is finally prepared. It should not take 21 minutes to heat up a pre-made sandwich, especially not when the store is almost empty. Also, worst frappuccino in the history of frappuccinos. I returned it after one sip because there's no way in hell I'm paying more than $5 for a terrible beverage. read more

Have to echo the bad reviews on this location, and the negative parts of the good ones. I used the app to order ahead, when I walked in there was a huge group waiting for coffee and an empty line, usually a bad sign. The app said 3-8 minutes for my order to arrive, but it was more like 20 minutes. As another reviewer observed, a bunch of parents were in the store buying caffeinated drinks for their Elementary- and Middle-school-aged children. WTH? Last thing a pre-teen kid needs at 10 am on a Sunday is 500 calories of sugar with a caffeine kicker, but I guess there's no law against it... read more

This place is tucked into a strip mall, but as far as Starbucks go, it's pretty nice. Parking is never a problem, there is usually a seat inside or outside, and the drinks are quickly and correctly made. Also, no one here seems to be stressed or worried enough to affect the atmosphere with a negative vibe. Although the space is small, the service, seating and parking conveniences make it a fair choice for a Starbucks. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks! I lived really close my whole life so I can easily walk over. The workers are good-natured and considerate. If you can't find seating inside I would recommend eating outside or in side the Safeway/chase. My favorite drink is the strawberry açaí blended. It tastes like a icy! read more

A coffee fanatic, I'm not fond of Starbucks, but I've had decent coffee at a few, and it beats 7/11. Well this Starbucks doesn't. I've been coming here once a month since it opened - I have a monthly event nearby , and need caffeine - and it is consistently inferior. I generally want cappuccino, and the sloppy baristas here can't seem to get it more than lukewarm. The regular coffee seems stale and weaker than normal. It's often pretty dirty. No Sumatra decaf pour over. They have the pack but won't use it. Had it at every other Starbucks in the country. It's very cold outside and they have air conditioning (cold air) blowing out of the vents. Staff say they can't adjust. Everyone inside wearing jackets--can't take your coat off. Im a regular and in the morning a few weeks ago I went in to get a coffee, and I think it was the store manager who yelled at a customer when she was busy trying to make more coffee. I then heard her yell at some of her employees to only call her for help when they actually needed her. And then she went in the backroom, and left the 2 employees with a huge line. It was completely unprofessional. Iv also noticed that she messes up people's drinks when she actually is working or she just talks to customers nonstop keeping the line waiting. read more
