First off: This is a Dunkin/Baskin-Robbins hybrid so all coupons can be used here. I've been coming to this location at least once a month since T-Mobile starting giving gift cards for coffee and ice cream. The staff is always friendly and they let you try a bunch of flavors without pressuring you to buy. They also had a big promotion when the new season of Stranger Things came out which was pretty cool. On the Dunkin' side, the donuts are always fresh and soft. Personally I recommend doing the donut holes over the traditional donut. The inside of the restaurant is kind of small and arranged strangely but most people seem to grab and go. They do have outdoor seating in the summer time. Make it a 2020 resolution to eat more ice cream. read more

While most customers were obtaining their orders straight from the hands of the gentlemen working, my son's breakfast order was placed without gaining our attention on the top of the ice cream case. There it sat while I fretted stupidly around the restaurant attending to four kids, finally interrupting the ordering of another customer to ask why the food was not out. He gestured. If anyone had just said SOMETHING, it wouldn't have sat there for who knows how many minutes getting cold on the metal counter. Then they had only put 6 hash browns in the bag. Double annoyed! I spent $27 for a dozen donuts, a sausage breakfast sandwich & 6 hashbrowns. If you are unwilling to speak to customers waiting for their food, then please make the effort to get their attention some other way so they aren't getting angrier & angrier waiting for food sitting on the counter. Further, put up a SIGN if you expect customers to check for their food order. Why doesn't this store have an order & pick up counter???? It might be fast food, but a basic freakin sign would alleviate the workers from engaging in customers. It's clear they'd rather watch a Mom get more worried about being late to the next place, and worried the meter would run out, then speak to her about where the order was. We had 20 minutes. It's weird to spend 15 minutes fretting & no one telling you your food was with the ice cream. So annoying. Customers should not have to leave the store feeling stupid. read more

The person at the counter was very thoughtful and put my medium hot chocolate into a large cup so it wouldn't overflow and be easier to walk around with. I have been going to this Baskin Robbins /Dunkin doughnuts for a long time. I order the same iced latte every time I go and often get ice cream for my son as well, I ordered my normal drink with cream instead of milk and the young woman who was helping me gave me milk. Politely I asked her to please change it to cream and out of nowhere this manager possibly owner came out and started to yell at me saying they won't use cream and continued to berate me as I tried to explain calmly that I come there almost everyday and using cream had never been a problem. He also made sure to yell at me saying he hadn't seen me come in as if I were lying, All I had asked for was the cream and he screamed "We don't do that" and I said well each time I come in here they do it for me, I had already paid and he continued to carry on yelling at me that he would give me my money back, but refused to make a new one with cream. He couldn't calm himself and as I was leaving with the original wrong drink they had made, I said I am going to do my first yelp review as this is no way to treat anyone. He continued yelling as I left the place. This was a terrible experience over cream. I left shaking, needless to say, I will never return there again and I still can't believe how angry and terrible he behaved. I came into this Cordell Avenue store 3x last month. The second visit was for the iced coffee and a donut, HE was quick to complete the transaction and said, "Thank you". My first and third visits were horrible! The young lady behind the counter moves like a turtle and barely utters a word or a smile. It looked as if she did not want to be there!!! My last visit was the worst! She wasted my time waiting for her to come up to the counter. 5 minutes! There was ONLY me and another older couple behind me. I needed to purchase a gift card. Asked her what is the best way to purchase it, via using my DD app to pay or direct pay. She told me that I could pay for it with my DD app. Well, she was wrong! It did NOT work after I uploaded funds into my app account. She barely uttered, "Oh sorry". Now after 10 minutes, I was frustrated and left without buying the card bc of her lack of customer service & knowledge. I then would have to purchase it from my credit card...therefore spending $45 at Dunkin Donuts to purchase a $25 gift card. Whenever I go to this Dunkin, the staff is so friendly and helpful. A few months ago, I had placed an online order for pickup through the app. The app said the order didn't go through due to technical issues, so I arrived and just placed my order at the counter. I then realized that my order did go through after ordering in person and had two orders! I let the staff know and the manager I immediately came out and refunded one of the orders. I've been to this location a couple of times, when I've been pressed for time. They are very hard workers and I quickly obtained my food. My donuts and coffee were great, as they are at other Dunkin Donut's. I've met the manager and employees and they have provided me with good customer service and were very friendly. The location I have to say, is quite unique. It seems to me, they got a bad deal with getting an entrance behind this new building's generator, or whatever that gigantic electrical thing it is to the right of the entrance. I was actually disappointed when Smashburger oped up because I thought that Dunkin Donut's had canceled. It took time before I noticed that it had opened up, but was behind that electrical box thing! The interior designed space is well utilized however and the workers have concealed the generator tactfully and keep it clean. I usually grab coffee and breakfast at a nearby deli, but they're closed on Sundays. My Sunday backup was always Starbucks, but decided to find other possibilities in the area as well. Despite living a few blocks from here, I never realized this Dunkin' Donuts (DD, for those not in the know) existed! The storefront is tucked in a bit and not super obvious unless you're paying attention as you walk by (I'm particularly oblivious, so maybe nobody else has this problem). I haven't been to DD for years, but I've given it a try since I discovered it in Bethesda. I usually wake up earlyish on the weekends (7-9am), and I've never seen this DD particularly busy at that time of day. The cashiers have always been polite, and I've always received my correct order quickly so that I can get on my way. I've been most excited by the discovery that DD offers almond milk for their lattes- most places only offer soy as a non-dairy milk, so in my opinion, that gives DD bonus points in my book. I'm also a sucker for their iced tea. Their breakfast sandwiches are also pretty tasty, but not as filling as breakfast sandwiches I've had from elsewhere. They do have carriers, for which you order 2+ drinks. However, my only complaint is that they don't have the stopper splash sticks that Starbucks has. This means that when I carry my latte the third of a mile back to my apartment in the carrier, a good portion of my latte gets spilled everywhere. Maybe this isn't important in other areas where people tend to drive to get their coffee, but for a location in Bethesda- where a lot of people walk to get coffee in the morning- this is particularly important for customers. It's enough to make me think twice about getting a latte here on the weekends. However, having almond milk *almost* cancels that out. read more

The store is always spotless and, unlike most DD locations, has both indoor and outdoor seating areas that you actually want to sit in - clean, comfortable, and inviting. Every single person behind the counter I've ever interacted with over my many visits has been incredibly friendly and pleasant - again setting them apart from many DD locations nearby. The owner is a lovely gentleman who works very hard to make sure his guests are well-taken care of and is very proud of his store (as well he should be). This is the friendliest and cleanest Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins I've ever been to. The store is small and the layout is a bit awkward, especially if there's a crowd waiting to get their coffee or ice cream. But it's so close to my office and the staff is so great that I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else (I'm giving you the side-eye here Starbucks). Since they've opened I've been here at least a dozen times. Maybe two dozen. I highly recommend downloading the Dunkin Donuts app for coupons and for payment. The staff here knows how to use it and won't be confused when you pull out your phone to pay. They make my coffee exactly how I like it and the donuts have always been delicious. To continue with Dunkin locations, I will switch gears from Columbia Pike -Bailey's & Arlington to the other side of the river in Bethesda, MD. It was this location where I got the first punch card for free Iced coffee. They were having a radio promotion from DC 101 for the grand opening of this new location conveniently located in downtown Bethesda. I remembered that I took the Metro all the way from VA since I had something I was doing in DC that afternoon and didn't want to hunt for parking in DC. This was not a far walk from the Bethesda Metro. In addition to my free punch card, I had been to this location a few times since I have a friend who lives on Cordell. They are friendly at this location. They do a great job with the Iced coffee and sandwiches. The next two reviews will be Rockville locations where I got more grand opening punch cards. Pretty standard when it comes to Dunkin' Donuts. This is a popular spot on weekends, so there can be a bit of a wait for your coffee and donuts. There's both indoor and outdoor seating here and the area is kept clean and tidy. I have been coming to this location since it opened. It's a Dunkin and Baskin Robbins combo. A win-win in my book. No matter when I come here, I always enjoy my experience. Its always clean. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. There might be a line, but they manage to keep it moving. My coffee, donuts, ice cream is always delicious. Service has always been friendly and with a smile. The location is in between Smash Burger and Louisiana type kitchen place. The parking is paid street so bring change except for Holidays and Sundays its free. I won't give you a drawn out explanation of the Dunk .. as you know exactly what it is already. Coffee/donuts/food/etc. The feedback you should take to heart is the following: 1. It's difficult to understand many of the staff. I am not critical of this, but several strugle to articulate your order (it may be an english as second language thing?) 2. The coffee. Ooph. The coffee you get is either completely blasted with sugar or not brewed properly. I honestly can't drink it. 3. The floor is perpetually being mopped. I've not been in here while the floors haven't been wet (I guess this is a good thing for cleanliness - but annoying when you are wearing leather soled shoes!) This is a great place that fills up on weekends. Still, the counter service is fast and friendly. This particular store occasionally send out paper coupons and can also process payment electronically if you have the DD app. The indoor seating area gets a bit loud--don't expect to study / read here--but there a few tables outside.
