I don't know what kind of caramel sorcery you're working with, but I'd like to sign up for the lifetime supply plan, please. And then there's the lavender cold foam. I have no words... except these: SELL. IT. BY. ITSELF. I would happily walk out of here with a venti cup of just lavender foam and a straw, no judgment. It's floral, it's dreamy, it's basically the spa treatment my coffee didn't know it needed. So yeah, Starbucks, keep doing you. Walked in to get my mobile order and a younger female asked "what's your name?" no good morning, how are you or anything.I said Neshia, and she followed up with announcing my name incorrectly after i just gave her the correct pronouncing. I asked for honey and hot water because you cannot order these things on the app, the male grabbing this was annoyed. Female that asked my name immediately replied to him, "it's not me" to further confirm him being annoyed. I said thank you when she gave me my order and she completely ignored me. A friend and I were sitting by the window. a worker came by,reached over us and began to clean dust and debris from the top window sill right where it could possibly fall into our table - where our door and drinks were sitting! When we asked her not to clean over us,she added that it was only water and that we could change our seats. This was rude, unsanitary and terrible customer service. Very disappointed. I came in and the girls behind the counter were talking socially to another customer. They all three just walked away from me at the front of the line and left me standing there for about 3 minutes and did ask me if I needed help. Now I can understand if they couldn't see me but I am 6-3 240 lb. so that was not the case. I finally asked if could get helped. She said oh I didn't see you there. Would I like something. Lol. Skip this location! My last few visits to this Starbucks have been a great disappointment. This morning was especially disheartening. I had mobile-ordered a doppio espresso and by the time I arrived it was certainly ready for me. However I opened the cup to discover that the amount of espresso coffee contained inside was significantly smaller than what I normally get every single morning at any other Starbucks. Defeating the purpose and time-saving convenience of having ordered through the app, I then stood in a long line to present this problem to the cashier. I asked first if this was a "doppio" and they said yes. Not being convinced, I simply asked to pay for another doppio to be added to the same cup. I would think that since I am asking for a double-shot to be added to the same order, at least they would have the courtesy to charge the usual 80 cents per additional shot but instead I was charged the whole price for a new espresso. When I drank my order which by now would be 4 shots, if erything had been done properly, it tasted weaker than any doppio espresso I ever had. I was really upset that I had to pay twice for this. I imagine all the other espresso drinks made here are insufficient. read more

Cabin Fever! That's what you get when it snows 25" in your neighborhood! My neighbor needed an espresso and I had nothing better to do than watch The View, so I decided to keep her company (and check out how bad the roads really were). This location is really a neighborhood hot spot. It was busy (every table taken), but there was no wait for our beverages. The barista was friendly and quick - he had a great attitude for such a blustery day it was. They have WiFi, but I think it is only free for two hours if you have a registered Starbucks card. No problem for me. As a teacher it's the number one card I get from parents of students, so I have about five totaling $75.00. Many people don't like their coffee, but their specialty drinks, you know, the high calorie ones, are great. Their hot chocolate with whipped cream is perfect on a cold day. Perhaps my favorite thing about this location is that I can walk my dog here in the nicer weather and hang out on the patio with all the other canine toting coffee connoisseurs. read more

This location is right off of Connecticut Avenue, the parking lot is located behind the store. It can get pretty packed inside this Starbucks during peak hours (early morning especially). It always seems like not enough employees are working because the long lines cause chaos for the cashier and one employee making drinks for customers :( The staff here are super polite despite how crazy it gets. There is lots of seating inside as well as a small area outside with tables shared with Einstein Bagels next door. The quality of the drinks and food here are comparable to all other locations. I hope that this Starbucks takes into account peak hours and brings in more help so these employees aren't always overwhelmed with customers and their orders. read more

This is the Starbucks that sits across the street from the Woman's Co Op. It is on the South Corner of Wisconsin and Bethesda Ave. There is ample seating, friendly service, and the product selection is larger than most of the stores in the area. It always seems so warmly lit. A friendly Starbucks. The only issue is parking... as there is none. There is a parking lot across the street behind the Womans coop... ok... so there is parking - but it's metered. And... I just remembered it was there. Ok, so there is parking. On the Starbucks scale of 1-13.4. I'd give it a 12.0. It's not usually super crazy like the one on Norfolk and Woodmont. There is usually open tables and there is a bunch of restaurants and what not within walking distance. This Starbucks is located right in the street in Chevy Chase. There's ample seating inside and on the patio. Service is fast at 6AM. The interesting thing about this Starbucks is that the barista doesn't know how to pronounce the names of the drinks correctly. There's parking on the side and behind the building. I have been coming to this location for a year multiple times a week and always recognize the wonderful and kind service they provide. Nadine is so sweet and Andre is such a nice guy (I think he is leaving soon, so that sucks) he has been at this location for 9 years Nadine has been here for I think 3 and the other barista (forgot his name, but I know he is from the Ivory Coast) has been here for 6 years. Overall, Starbucks is not my favorite. But you know what you're going to get when you visit a Starbucks. The quality is always the same no matter what the location. There is definitely something to be said for that. Everyone recognizes the branding and they are popular for a reason. This Starbucks is excellent though because they have an incredible outdoor seating area. When the weather is nice, this is definitely the place where you want to hang out with your laptop (free WiFi!), sip some coffee, and get some work done. It's also very close to the 495 exit for Connecticut Ave, so it's easy to meet up with people here. read more

I'm not much of a Starbucks fan. Don't really like their coffee, and I think they are way, way overpriced. But I stopped by this one today because I was in the mood for a frappuccino (about the ONLY thing they have that I like) and I had two bucks left on a gift card someone had given me. The location was okay and plenty of parking. But the staff? Geez, talk about an unfriendly bunch. Three of them working and they seemed more interested in gossiping about their coworkers than in serving customers. They don't acknowledge you with a "hello" or "what can I get you?" They pretty much just stare at you and wait for you to say something. No smile (fake or otherwise). Even when my drink was done, the woman just placed it on the counter and walked away. It's the closest thing to being served by robots, except I would expect robots to be programmed with some fake small talk/patter. My drink: it was okay, but I asked for a shot of espresso. Didn't get it. Then again, they didn't charge me for it, so... I'll give it two stars 'cause the drink was okay. And while I'm on the subject: What's with the seating? Hard wooden chairs and tables. Like the kind of stuff Catholic school kids had to sit on back during the early part of the 20th Century. Hey, Starbucks? Check out the seating Panera has and maybe invest in a slight upgrade. read more

Service here is so bad, it has officially turned me away from ALL Starbucks. Three of four last visits were a disaster. Twice, I was given lattes where the lid or the cup failed, resulting in hot latte all over the inside of my car. Strikes one and two. Third strike came when I ordered using the mobile app. Arrived 5 minutes later, and waited, and waited and waited. Waited for 10 more minutes, all the while patrons that placed orders after me received their items. I left, empty handed, returned to my office, logged into my Starbucks account and deleted as much as I could from my account. In asked that my 825+ stars and the $40 left on my card be donated to charity. Was told that was not possible. Oh well...Refusing to return to store, I just deleted the card from my account. Good riddance Starbucks! The North Chevy Chase store has single handedly managed to lose a loyal customer of over 10 years. read more

We had probably the best customer service I've ever experienced at this Starbucks. We were roadtripping with children when one of them had a major carsickness issue. One of the workers helped us hook up a hose and soap, as well as gave our kids apple juice and snacks to help them feel better. This is one of the best Starbucks locations I've been to in my many many years of loyalty to the coffee chain. For these chain restaurants/shops, what makes a difference is the staff. Not all of the baristas will greet you with a smile or any indication of you being welcomed here. However, there are a few that make this place a winner for me. I was here on a busy Friday afternoon, where it looked like everyone who didn't want to be stuck in traffic swarmed in here. The line was super long. Being in desperate need for caffeine fix, I stayed my ground and waited in line. The barista churned out cup after cup of coffee, always with a smile and an energetic spirit of enthusiasm. Having waited table myself, I know it's hard to keep a smile when customers keep coming in and you don't get a moment to breathe. But that barista managed to make me feel like even though he was really swamped, he still made time to make eye contact, again with a smile, and make sure your experience here is the best possible. When he got some breathing room, he even chatted up with any customer. That personal touch made this place much more than the same old extension of the Starbucks enterprise. It's a neighborhood spot that I'll be coming back often. read more

This location is pretty damn big for a Starbucks. There's lots of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating, including a large communal table. Definitely one of the better Starbucks I've been to. Parking might be difficult at peak times though, but at least it's free! read more
