The TikTok videos really hyped this place up. Unfortunately I thought otherwise. Walking in, this place is not cute. It's actually odd looking as there is an open freezer to the right near the bathroom. It had another business to the right. Essentially, it looks like a storage unit and two different business all sharing the same space. Service was okay. I felt the barista/ cashier was working alone and kinda awkward. Lox bagel 5/10: Missing the capers. Not toasted. Salmon bowl 6/10: Edible but not as tasty as it could have been. At least the avocados were ripe. Tiramisu croissant 4/10: Not a consistent flavor. Upon opening it up, the filling was really inconsistent and random. Some parts were sweet. Others just tasted like cream. Coffee Flight 0/10: Do not order this because the only thing you'll get out of it is a picture. Every drink tasted like watered down coffee and milk. The Oreo cappuccino was so odd. I found out about the Oreos near the last few sips.. The Lucky Charms drink was only decent because of the Lucky Charms. The espresso was burnt. Finally the caramel latte was again... watered down

Not worth the instagram marketed hype. Seating is sparce and awkward. Weird sections that are instagramy for photo opps. Coffee is terrible - both watered down and no flavor. Food was incredibly disappointing- like bread, unseasoned meat, onion toasted- no flavor. Saltado was also light on the filling, but overall had a decent flavor for the spoonful of filling inside. I was completely disappointed but still wanted a good cup of coffee so we drove to Ceremony Coffee nearby.

The cafe is located in Bethesda and is a really cute little cafe. The ambiance is cozy and a great place to do work. We were there to work on somethings and it was great to work from the tables. The couches looked really comfortable too. It wasn't too loud either. The service was great! Easy to order the coffee flight was omakase where the barista selected the types of coffee for us. There was an espresso shot, Nutella, rose cardamom, and affogato. Each were really good in their own right! Perfectly flavored and sweetened! Definitely will come out here to work!

Tried Baruch Cafe for the first time this past weekend! The atmosphere was perfect for studying or having an intimate conversation. The seating options were also comfortable, but the cafe is small, so seating may be hard to secure depending on when you go. The menu had a lot of great options, including sandwiches, bowls, pastries and desserts. I do wish they had more gluten free options - there's one "keto sandwich" on the menu which uses gluten free bread, but they didn't have any when I went. I enjoyed the steak and eggs bowl though. I also loved the fresh pressed juice, and while I opted not to get the popular coffee flight, my friend did get it, and she thought the coffee was good quality but that the flavors weren't as strong as she was hoping when combined with the espresso. The service was good and everyone was friendly.

The cafe was a fun vibe but the AC wasn't working and it was very humid in there. The coffee was also not very good. We tried the flight and a latte and the espresso was burnt and the milk was not a good consistency. The redeeming factor was the bacon egg and cheese croissant was very good and the staff was friendly. Overall I think this shop is Instagram worthy and that's about it.

Visited Baruch Cafe with my sister for an informal weekend brunch. There were a few other people there, but overall it was bright, quiet, and we found comfortable seating. You order at the counter and can either wait for your food/drink, or they brought ours to the table. Staff were friendly and service was quick. About the coffee: an espresso is mandatory on the flight. Ok, fine, I like espresso. However, this one wasn't good! Maybe the barista was new, but it was sour and bitter and not great. We did enjoy the frappe, and the tiramisu latte was the highlight and something I would order if I came again. However if I was just looking for coffee, I have other go-to spots I'd prefer. About The food: honestly really good! We stuck with fun brunch options, but they do have some healthier bowls and salads. We started with croissants: we got a pistachio, a plain, and a tiramisu, and they were delicious! The pastries are a highlight, imo. Would definitely order again. Then, we moved on to "mains" and ordered the smash burger and the Lomito. Both were delicious; my sister loved the smash burger but I preferred the lomito. Would go back to buy that sandwich again; it was flavorful and the vegetables (on both) were fresh and crisp. At this point my sister ordered one of their fresh fruit juices, which was strong, sweet, and quite enjoyable. Definitely recommend their fresh juices, which are made to order. I got the pistachio latte, which I wish had a creamy pistachio milk foam to amp up the flavor - it was a little disappointing. About Dessert: we wanted to sample several things, so we also ordered a few desserts. The "rose" shaped passion fruit curd cake was very good. It's sort of like a pana cotta exterior filled with the passionfruit curd, Not a flour cake. We also liked the caramel filled cookies (Alfejores). Tl;dr Cute spot to visit, coffee flight is instagrammable but meh, and requires ordering a mediocre shot of espresso. Food was delicious , fresh, and menu has a good mix of healthy and "cheat meal" options. While are better places to get a craft coffee, you should come here for the baked goods, Argentinian desserts, and the quiet relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, location clean, and the menu is fairly extensive with some fun South American/Argentinian influence. I think this cafe is worth a visit, and will be back for lunch and/or a pastry. Rating 4/5 as a "cafe", not a coffee shop.

Tiramisu lattes were OK, tiramisu croissant was reasonably good. Steak bowl was...average. Price was high. Servers were friendly. Ambiance - seems to be newer space so they are establishing their identity. Random components: jewelry, children's games and books ... we were in the area on another matter, wouldn't travel to get there again.

I stumbled upon this cafe by sheer luck, and I am so glad that I did. It doubles as a deli and a cafe. They make smoothies, freshly pressed-orange juice AND passion fruit juice (tried this and man it was so good). The decor looks like an elevated library in a way. Beautiful touches, ample space to work with lots of sunlight (def love) They have a hefty menu of unique coffee flavors. I got a flight (four mini coffee drinks) which were served in cute China! Omg! They also have a book shelf with both games and books for the littles to keep them entertained. The service was amazing! Bethany was the sweetest and was so welcoming! There's a parking garage right across the street from but if you're lucky (like me) you can snag a street parking. I can't wait to try their other offerings! I will definitely be back

I came here after seeing some insta videos, specifically on the coffee flight. I love coffee, so I had high expectations going in. The atmosphere was definitely different than I thought. Was thinking more like a cute, cozy cafe. I ordered the flight, but was disappointed when I couldn't pick the flavors as they had it set. Ordered some food and took our seat. As I watched people get their orders, I noticed the staff was a little disorganized. But the biggest thing that determined the number of stars was the coffee flight. Every single one tasted almost the same... like coffee and milk. I would personally not take the time to come out here, but I always tell people to try for themselves and see.

    Dining area

I've been to this place twice and what I like is the bright yet cozy dining area. The shop's setup is a little weird, especially because of the left side next to the open kitchen and the little hallway with the orange juice machine and utensils. The coffee area is pretty cute but the sweet offerings on display do not look very appealing nor fresh (at least they didn't both of the times I was there). It is a shame, though, because besides the look they do not taste as fresh as they should. I can understand the high cost of replacing the sweets daily or at least every two days but there are ways to manage this. I hope they can figure things out with product rotation and freshness. The savory offerings are plenty and all of them sound good but the execution falls short. There's really nothing impressive or memorable... the presentation has nothing to it, no attention to detail whatsoever. Even though they use cute plates and cups, the way the food is presented is underwhelming. The flavors are very simple and again not impressive. Today I was told to look at the handheld menu because what was on the big signs was outdated. Both, the menu on the wall signs and the paper ones had multiple corrections, which makes them look sloppy. There are a few things with the dining area that threw me off, like a chalk drawing in one of the walls that is half erased. They should just go ahead and erase the whole drawing, I don't think people will miss it. Attention to detail plays a big role, especially for the diners in the area that are always expecting a memorable experience. Again, I like the ambiance in general. I think that the mismatched tables, sofas, and chairs are a great idea and I love how they made it very personal by adding family photos. I also enjoyed the friendly staff and meeting the owner, who is such an inspiring lady! I would strongly recommend getting some help with the menu items and their execution, I really hope they do. I think they have the best intentions and seem to be putting a huge effort into this project so I wish them the best.

Overnight pistachio dry cake. And Coffee Flight.

Charging café prices without the café experience. This spot used to be a deli run by a Korean couple. I can still see that they kept a lot of old settings from the Deli. I wouldn't call it a scam, but it feels like a deli trying to dress up as a fancy bakery café--with the pricing of a high-end spot but the service of a self-serve joint. You order at the cashier which is next to an open kitchen stove. They do bring the food to your table, but beyond that, it's minimal. For example, I ordered an affogato, but no utensils came with it--I had to get my own spoon. At this price point, I naturally compare their food and service with places like Tatte or Tous Les Jours. And honestly, I expect real steel utensils for dine-in experience. From their online presence--especially the Instagram photos and Coffee Flight promo video--I was expecting a cozy, stylish café experience. But when I got there, the setup was still very much like a deli: limited seating, an open kitchen right next to the counter, and a noticeable food smell and smoke in the front area. We ordered: * 2 Coffee Flights * 1 Ham & Cheese Croissant * 1 Pistachio Cake The Coffee Flight looked great in pictures, but the drinks were just okay. The espresso was very sour, and the ice cream in the affogato tasted cheap. My friend and I got different cup sizes for the same drink, which felt off. The pistachio cake was from the previous day. I been told it should be taste ok but the cake was dry and I didn't finish it. My friend said the croissant tasted like something from Costco that she could've made at home. Our total was $52.41 + $8 tip. The servers were friendly though. I really wanted to like this place and support a small local business, but the quality and experience didn't match the price or the vibe they advertise.

Delicious coffee with great food and a nice vibe. Have been here several times and there isn't a bad coffee drink to be had.

Coffee flight (mini). Listed as $12 but rung up as $15.

It was clear this place was understaffed or had staff not showing up for their shift. This made the wait time significantly long. I got the coffee flight and ham and cheese croissant. The worker seemed visible annoyed with our order. Prices rung up as more expensive than the listed price. Coffee flight was listed as $12 but I was charged $15. The ham and cheese croissant, when it finally arrived after 30 minutes, was barely warm and underwhelming. I would not recommend this place and would not return.
