Just a few of their amazing cookies.

Love this long time Bethesda bakery! Everything is amazing and if you are lucky enough to visit on a day they have almond cookies, you owe it to yourself to give them a try. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere.

This place is epic. Every pastry you can think of. Bagels, breads. All beautifully presented. Plus quiche & savory items, in single servings, medium sizes and large sizes. Even fun seasonally decorated cookies (ocean theme, sports theme, you name it), plus beautiful cakes. One note on the cake, I didn't love the red velvet cake frosting. Idk. I am particular about frosting. I also ordered custom decorated cookies here for a baby shower and they were a huge hit.

    Sour cream pound cake

We have been here many times before and loved everything we have gotten. During our last visit, we got a loaf of rye bread. I already made a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. It was delicious. Next, we got 2 apricot hamantaschens and 2 apple hamantaschens. Both were delicious. OWait, we didn't stop there, we also ordered a sour cream pound cake. Omg, that was to die for. I tried to cut smaller pieces; however I just go back for more. Pros: delicious desserts, friendly staff. Easy parking Cons: my waistline

So it's been a while since I've stopped in here, but I was in the neighborhood so thought why not pick up a loaf of sourdough. First, the highlights: they've remodeled the place and it looks great - nice bright cases, beautiful bread shelving and bright menus. Staff are still friendly and pleasant. Now the downsides: the sourdough loaf was significantly smaller than it used to be and nowhere as tasty (I won't be returning), and the Oreo cupcake I bought was really dry and disappointing.

    Mini jelly donut

I've been looking for a decent mom and pop donut shop since I moved to DC several years ago. Looks like I might have found that elusive place. I've now visited twice. My first visit was probably closer to a 3.5 star visit. The customer service was excellent, the food looked great, however, the donut was doughy near the cream indicating it wasn't quite cooked. I thought this likely to be an anomaly and noted the place was slammed just before thanksgiving. I thought I should give it a second chance and am glad I did! On my second visit I ordered 3 donuts: Bavarian cream, mini jelly, and Boston cream. All were fresh, cooked perfectly, and delicious! Breads Unlimited is extremely generous with its filling. I hate to be disappointed from lack of cream in a donut, no worries about that here! Breads Unlimited has many other baked goodies. I look forward to eating all of them. Their pies in particular are hefty and impressive looking. Most people in line during my first visit were ordering pies for thanksgiving. Note: if you plan on ordering a thanksgiving pie, do it the week before because they can only commit to so many orders and the pies are very popular! Skip Dunkin' go to Breads Unlimited and treat yourself.

I had the perfect cake completed for my daughter's first birthday by Breads Unlimited. It turned out exactly the way I requested, tasted great and thorough customer service.

The challah and the coffeecakes are great! Very good ruggelach too. Other items are uneven. Prices have climbed over the past year or two

While I was tempted by these silver dollar-sized beauties of varying alluring colors, I couldn't keep my eyes of their Passion Fruit tart. I thought the tag must've been wrong since it was covered in raspberries, but when I looked closely at the description, it mentioned that it had a passionfruit crème filling. I gave in to temptation, but there was no evil. Maybe 1000 calories, but who's counting. It was worth every one thousand pennies! I deserved it. I'm a great dog mamma. I also purchased the salted chocolate chip cookie for my tea another day and a croissant for breakfast tomorrow. I will not shy away from Ladurée any longer. Au revoir until another day.

They had macarons, croissants, cookies, and a mini baked creations. It was really hard to decide on what to order? I ended up with a chocolate croissant and a strawberry Madeline. The inside of the bakery is as beautifully designed as the window display. It would be a really nice place to meet a friend for a beverage and a sweet. Service was great. A special shout out to the young woman behind the counter. I am so sorry, I do not know her name. By accident, I left my credit card there and didn't realize it. When, I figured out where I Iost my card, I called and she held onto it for me, until I could get back to there. She was so sweet and so honest. Thank you! Now, to the baked goods. The croissant was buttery and light and flaky. But, it did not have enough chocolate. There was a small amount in the center, but it really needed more. The strawberry Madeline was worthy of a gold medal. It was sweet, but not too sweet. The cookie/cake melted in your mouth. The strawberry was amazing and delicious. I just savored every bite. I would go back, just for that pastry. It is a little pricey, but you are in Bethesda. My two pastries were a little over $10 dollars. I did enjoy them. So, beautiful bakery, helpful and honest employees, delicious baked goods....I will definitely be back.

I've been here twice and disappointed both times. The weekend hours are a bit odd as the kitchen sharply closes at 4pm and the staff isn't that friendly. I ordered the Avocado Tartine. While the Avocado Tartine looked like a beautiful and vibrant work of art, it was all show and no substance. It's cringing there's an upcharge for a sunny-side egg for avocado toast (reluctantly paid for it! ) as well as the herbed feta (I passed on the feta cheese). The avocado was under ripe and the toast was burnt on the edges. While I appreciate receiving 2 large pieces of toast, it wasn't worth paying over $15 for such a simple dish poorly executed. The Shashuka weekend special was okay, and wish it came with warm whole wheat bread. The Papa's Bowl was overloaded with home fries and not enough eggs, avocado or sauce. The Martha Stewart Pomegranate Punch (non-alcoholic) and the boozy Rockaway Rhubarb Daquiri were both good. The S'mores cookie was the best part of the meal! Will come back just for the pastries and the boozy drinks!
