Really need to learn what very little ice means. To starbucks it means 3/4 full of ice. So aggrevating!

We had a mixed experience here, as seems to be the trend lately…read more Our group of 9 arrived about 11:15.  Our group was a little bigger than we'd expected and we didn't call ahead.  No one greeted or acknowledged us as they were cleaning two recently vacated tables. There were 3 or 4 people seated at the bar area to the right of the door. We finally inquired about seating, and worked a seating arrangement so we had one table of 5, one table of 4. The server made a big show of showing us the menu and naming the items in the pastry case.  Then she took drink orders.  The lattes took a very long time to arrive.  Eventually, we were able to give our food order. After waiting some time after all our meals were finished, we flagged someone down and asked for our check.  We were told our server was working on it. A few more minutes passed, she eventually emerged from the back and asked if we wanted to cash out.  We immediately said yes. Instead of giving us the check, she began clearing the tables.  When we finally got the bill, it was one summary bill, not itemized.    She eventually offered a view of an itemized receipt on her little handheld device while saying, "The 25% tip is XX."  I was flabbergasted. Things overall could have been easier if she'd done one check for each table.  I have no idea why she combined both tables into one larger check.  Our party didn't help by mixing card and cash payments. Two tables were seated, ordered, ate and vacated as we were getting and finishing our food. This is not acceptable. The food was good, the atmosphere is cute, the parking lot was decently sized and there is some street parking available as well.

Very cozy I'm assuming coffee house. Few parking spots in the front, but there are also location…read morelocations along the street. Seating is limited. They have a huge book selection that dominates the area where it could be useful for seating and more accommodating patrons. They do have a counter area where you can sit. One very large couch and chair. Actually felt a little stressed because of the claustrophobic nature of how they have it arranged. Overall, I would go back.

This was an ideal stop on the way home from Vermont to Maine! Just imagine a book store meets a coffee shop that also has delicious looking sweet treats (chai donuts was what caught my eye). Telling my wife those little bits about it made her eyes light up with excitement! We showed up and thankfully the major rush already passed and snagged a parking spot. Be mindful it is a small place with minimal parking. We walked inside and looked all around, my wife jumped to the books to browse (pictures of those can be seen on the Antidote Books listing). She did have lots of time to browse, because they only had one barista taking orders then also making them. This would be the only negative I would have to say of this place, I felt bad that it seemed the worker had too much to do. It resulted in quite a wait and I could see them losing some business during rushes from this. I know the space is small but having someone take orders and one making drinks could help. Despite this I still feel they deserve five stars! I got their Golden Sun Milk Iced Latte and my wife got their Iced Matcha Latte. Both were very tasty, expertly made for sure. Also we were lucky enough to get the very last chai donut, and it had a rose frosting. It tasted like gingerbread because the chai spices, wish we could have had more than one. A spot we would definitely return to and try more drinks and bites! No books that we wanted to buy but glad to have found a combo coffee shop/book store. Stop here and give it a try!
