From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a big welcoming smile. The inside walls and ceiling were covered with wood, creating that cozy homey feeling. There were lots of cute, funny decorations, and fluffy bear and spotted cow cuddly friends. On our first visit, we already had breakfast, so we were there for a coffee and a dessert. We were interested in their Coffee Flight, featuring all the ice cream flavors that they offer. How fun is that! The coffee float was a nice size, all pretty darn good, and yes, reminded me of ice cream for sure. We tried one of their baked goods, French Toast Muffin with warm buttery syrup (?) for additional $1. And I tell you, the additional $1 was totally worth it in my opinion, it was like a warm liquid of gold! Sweet, decadent, and comforting. We went back another day to get actual breakfast. We got large Mocha Cold Brew Coffee Float, and Raspberry Flavored Latte. When they say large, they are not joking. Those coffees were huge! They were a bit too sweet for me, now I know not to order large, and ask them to make it less sweet. For food, I got Sausage, Egg & Cheese on toasted bagel (additional $3). I also added the home fries for additional $4. Total came to be $15, a bit pricier than expected for a simple dish, but they were filling and satisfying. Their bagels are made daily, and have several different flavors. My hubby went with Two Eggs with Home Fries & French Toast. He changed the regular French Toast to S'mores French Toast for additional $3, making it around $18. It was a big breakfast, came in 2 separate plates. S'mores French Toast was fun, but extra sweet and decadent... The ladies who work here were as friendly and welcoming. They don't have gourmet dishes or drinks, and the price can get a bit high, but they sure give you the warm, sweet feeling. We have gone back a couple more times, and I am sure we will go back again.

They greet you as you walk thru the door which is nice. You don't get that in most places anymore. We will take the 45 min. Drive to go to that place. Cause it's worth it. Keep up the good work. That really helped to get me over the hump with this place after the total disrespect of NHATA but it was a 40 minute wait. I'm still quite burned about it. I guess lesson learned as order ahead. We ended up finding both at Baked. When we walked in, we saw a few big bakery cases filled with pastries, muffins, and all sorts of baked goods. A little further into the space, we saw a reception stand for their full service, sit-down restaurant. We just wanted a beverage and a bakery treat, so that meant we couldn't sit in the restaurant, but luckily, we grabbed the only table in front of the bakery cases. It was quite a chore narrowing down our order from their many drinks and baked goods, but eventually we decided on a Cold Vanilla Blueberry Latte ($6), a Hot Banana Bread Latte ($5), a Macaroon ($3.75), and an Orange Cranberry Scone ($4). The cold latte and scone were mine and I enjoyed both a lot. The latte had great blueberry flavor and the scone was fantastic. We shared the baked treats, and the macaroon was great too, with plenty of chocolate chips, and a freshly made gooey consistency. We both noted how fresh everything was. All in all, their quality, prices and value were excellent. Well done, Baked... we loved our visit.

Don't be fooled by the name -- there's really nothing "gourmet" about the donuts. At 1130 on a…read moreSaturday, which I realize is a bit late, they had just very basic options. I had a Bavarian cream, which at least felt fresh, but the donut part was meh (might have needed a pinch of salt in the dough), and the cream tasted like the nasty canned "creme" I'd expect at a non-"gourmet" donut shop. With the word "gourmet" I honestly expect some creative flavor options, and for the basics to be skillfully made with quality ingredients. The hot coffee I had was good though. The service was slow. Yes, they're juggling drive-thru and in-store orders, but there has to be a more efficient way of handling counter service and drive-thru ops. I was going to give reluctant (bc of the excessive plastic) bonus points for the coffee lid, because it is *substantial* -- it almost feels reusable, the plastic is so thick -- but the flippy portion broke off when I tried to lock it open. Not a big deal if you're in the passenger seat, and once I found it I could push it back on, but if you're driving, it's at minimum annoying, and potentially a mess. I don't think ambiance is applicable, since there was no seating, but it looked like maybe it used to be an auto parts store? There was a big empty counter with shelves on the way in, and scattered ceiling tiles and fixtures with cars and things like "STP" and "Goodyear." So, I didn't consciously factor ambiance into my rating, but I suppose it might of subconsciously affected my impression. Now, if it were name was "Basic Donuts and Good Coffee," I'd have given an extra star, but not only were the expectations created by the word "gourmet" not met, but the donuts and service didn't even meet those of basic mass-produced chains.
