Everything looked good there. Maybe I just made the mistake of ordering a chocolate milkshake? Worst milkshake I've ever had. It was mostly milk, with very little chocolate ice cream. It was so watery! The woman who made it was nice enough, and the store uses local products from a small farm, which I love. Food is amazing! Such a delicious blend and the price is so reasonable. We did have a small hint of rude within our server, the girl did have an attitude but overall was a good experience. BEST FROYO IN THE AREA! They use local ingredients and is really fresh and yummy! The froyo here is the thickest and creamist, and has a fresh flavor :) Although there are usually only 3-4 flavors at a time, but the froyo doesn't melt easily as Froyoworld's froyo (down the street) who has more flavors, but lacks quality. This review is specifically about their brand new Amherst location. I have already written a detailed review of their original Northampton location (read here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/goberry-northampton#hrid:8-UcRtXfjB6ymcsPJovz4w) I was a little sad to see that the new Amherst location opens a little later in the day (noon instead of 11) in Amherst, but not the end of the world. We grabbed a coffee 30ft away at Amherst Coffee while we waited. Same amazing frozen yogurt as the original location, of course. Main difference is the space is a bit smaller. Toppings list I am sure will generally be a bit shorter, but they still have two flavors plus the delicious original. I am extremely excited to have a good alternative to Barts in town FINALLY. Barts has been hitting rock bottom and trying to tunnel deeper. This may be the nail in their coffin. The location is a fun one, right near Amherst Cinema and Amherst Coffee, an area of town that has been expanding and growing and has a lot of great little shops. read more

Absolutely, the best frozen yogurt I have ever tasted. This is the freshest, most dairiest, most yogurtest fro-yo you will ever have. It actually tastes like yogurt... yet it's frozen. Great texture. Great flavors. Dairy with no antibiotics or hormones. There's another one in Northampton... and no where else. Too bad I live thousands of miles away and I was just passing through... too bad you can't get this fro-yo shipped. (Really, a 3.5, but I'll be generous.) GoBerry is definitely my go-to dessert place in Amherst. THIS is what fro-yo is supposed to taste like. It's mildly tart, creamy and thick. Though by big city standards, GB is fairly average and a little overpriced, but I think it's worth it to support a local business. There's the standard selection of fruit and granola toppings. Getting ripe mangoes mixed into my froyo was fantastic. GB's Amherst location is a hole in the wall with no indoor seating, which is kind of a bummer. It can be twice as expensive as froyoworld if you go crazy with the toppings (which are limited in number, unlike FW), but I find that GB is more filling and of much better quality than any other joint in town. read more

I received a wonderful and conscientious response from the owner of GoBerry. This is most unusual in my experience and I am impressed! I have decided to stop getting toppings because a. oreos make me fatter and b. I can then save a buck. So my problem there is self-solved for now. The owner assures me that portion size is something they are aware of and working on. The Best Frozen Yogurt. I can't rave enough about GoBerry Amherst. This is frozen yogurt done right! Slightly tart, healthy, real yogurt, balanced with natural flavors. Yummy, filling, refreshing. Friendly, young staff. Wonderful, fresh ingredients. GREAT LOCATION. Benches outside, high -top tables inside. I eat here often as a treat from myself, or a "good report card" reward for the kids. You never know who you will run into at GoBerry. Try the strawberry and basil, the Nutella, the GoBerry blend, original, etc. Try them all, you can sample the flavors for free. Love! read more

I actually created this Yelp account to write this review (finally!). I have recently been hyper aware of customer service for a couple reasons, and there is something special about GoBerry in Amherst. (*particular shout out to Jason who was probably the best server I have ever encountered, really made me feel like the company cares about their customers and makes them feel welcome - so much so that I asked for his name, but the other employee working was just as friendly and welcoming to the customer she was serving...) Anyway, alongside GREAT service, their yogurt is also AMAZING. You can tell that it is fresh and the fruit is cut fresh. They have helpful information signs up that tell you different things about the yogurt, where it is from, and the ingredients. The Northampton store has a big sign up with the nutritional facts, but if you ask the Amherst store, they will give you a small print out of the ingredients. Toppings are kind of expensive but worth it if you go in prepared to drop a couple of bones on frozen yogurt. I have only been to the Northampton store once and didn't end up getting anything, but I'll definitely be over there soon to try it out as well. Best of luck! read more

My favorite frozen yogurt anywhere. Creamy and not overly sweet. I like original and all the fruit flavors, and dislike all of the non-fruit flavors. Nutella, chocolate, peanut butter -- all taste weird with the tart yogurt flavor, but apparently some folks like them, so who am I to judge. If you're craving some froyo go to Goberry! They have two locations with four different flavors they change weekly. They use local ingredients to make their yogurts and go also get some toppings. You can't put your own toppings on, but it is still well worth it! I highly recommend getting the Nutella and cinnamon roll mixed together if they have it! read more

We have a group consensus folks, GoBerry is 5-Star-Tastic! I am usually an ice cream girl, but we wanted to support the new business in town so we decided to try something different. Their yogurt is really tasty, especially on a hot summer day. We really enjoyed the original flavor but found the other options to be great. I truly value their appreciation for local ingredients and this is certainly a place that embraces the Pioneer Valley theme of local, local, local. I'm used to Pinkberrys being that I'm from Atlanta, but since I'm up north visiting my in-laws I ventured out to find a new place for frozen yogurt. The options are as extensive as Pinkberrys but if you didn't know any better you'll be fine. The choices were original, key lime pie, and mango, and the mango was delicious. It wasn't too soft or anything else, absolutely perfect. The only issue that I would report would be the parking situation and that its kind of hidden. Since its in Downtown Amherst, they dont have many parking spaces available and you would have to know to look down this "alley" to locate. read more

Let me first start off by saying that GoBerry is INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best frozen yoghurt I have ever tasted and will always be my go to spot. The taste is really rich and creamy and the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The best thing about it really is that you cannot taste any sort of chemical and artificial sweetness which you would find at pretty much every single other frozen yoghurt joint. It really deserves a 5 star but........ *** I do have one huge complaint however.... *** and I would love if the owners would do something about this as it is a recurring problem..not with just myself but with other people I know who frequent GoBerry. Now I may come across as a cheapskate but whatever, my money is hard-earned and I deserve what I pay for. Every single time, I buy a large original and according to the sizing there, a large is 12 oz. Perfect, fair enough. But I weighed it once when I got home just out of curiosity .. and it was 9 oz... ok maybe just that day. But then I weighed it again... it was 9 oz. Then again and again ... and again.. and again...........and again... So every time I've gotten a large.. it's consistently been only 9 oz. Thats only an ounce more than a medium. I would totally understand if I get 9 oz a couple of times... but its consistently been lower than I paid for... EVERY SINGLE TIME. So I pretty much lose $1 every single time I purchase frozen yoghurt there. Which is not cool, GoBerry. Not at all. I have been going to goberry pretty much once or twice a week for the past year and I still remain a loyal customer despite this as I love it and Froyo World does not even compare.. its is nonexistent. But seriously, I ask the owners, please rectify the situation.. Do what some other places do.. Have a scale and weigh it before giving it to a customer or something like that. Your loyal customers deserve to get what they pay for. read more

GoBerry has one of the best flavors of original tart I have ever had. Their fresh fruit toppings are always delicious, and thank goodness that they have mochi! I've tried some of their other flavors, which rotate daily, but honestly I'm not a fan of most of them. The only flavored froyo I've enjoyed is the cranberry flavor...but I mostly stick with original tart. The only sad part about GoBerry is the price, which can get expensive really quickly with a few toppings. read more

It's okay. The (original) frozen yogurt doesn't taste as good as, say, Pinkberry. The seasonal pumpkin chai one they had in the fall was good. Toppings are standard. Prices are not great, but since they have no competition it's understandable. No discernible difference between the Amherst and Northampton locations. read more

How can you get better than that? The nasty chain Fro Yo places certainly can't! It's healthy and delicious, and the servers are fantastic. They know everything about the product and they really do everything they can to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. I love their flavors! Mango and Coconut are my favorite, and they actually taste like the real thing, because they have the real thing in them, unlike artificial Fro Yo world. I have mango with mango, kiwi, and coconut, and it was filling and awesome. It is so worth the reasonable pricing (why is everyone so cheap?
