Starbucks is getting absolutely ridiculous with their standards and mandates. I realize that I'm out here in Apache Junction, so expectations should be low, but the fact that I cannot order a cup of hot water for my own teabags and if I order a tea for four dollars, they have to put the teabag in it. They cannot leave them on the side is absolutely nuts! And when I asked the girl about it just asking her as a human being does she not realize how that is crazy she continued to give me the corporate answer, which is that she could make me a tea with teabags, but she cannot give me hot water. Best part, I'm just trying to thaw some breastmilk for my twin babies. read more

Why are they still adding water to a Trenta iced green tea NO water??!! This drink should look dark tan/orange and it's super light! It was a barista from this location that told me to order without water years ago as it's stronger & tastes better. Super disappointed that they are either watering down the pitchers before pouring or just ignoring that it's ordered with no water. Sad. read more

Since this location opened almost 20 years ago, it has been in my rotation of Starbucks to stop in for coffee or a treat when the mood strikes. No matter if you go in the cafe, the drive thru, or even place a mobile order you can count on a quality drink or food item. The service has always been friendly through the years, and love the large patio and lobby as you can almost guarantee a place to sit if dining in which is unheard of during snowbird season at other establishments. Today is Valentine's Day and love the heart sticker on my drink. It's small things like this that show the coffee culture and I feel like this Starbucks does a great job of making it the third place - a cozy place between home and work. read more

I'm writing a review for a business that I think is overrated and has been for as long as I can remember. And while writing this review I need to remind myself to be neutral and not let my personal opinions reflect on someone else's potential experience. And with that being said, I think Starbucks is way overpriced and their drinks are watered down. However, I make "coffee" runs to this location often because it's the closest one, and I've never had any major problems. Occasionally I get a wrong size drink, or I'll get whipped cream when I ask for no whip cream, etc.. but that's expected out of any business. The employees there are always very friendly and if there is a mistake they're quick to fix it and I'm on my way. The location is clean and it's got a smooth drive thru, the architecture is pretty cool compared to other buildings surrounding it, and it's luckily close by and convenient to swoop in to grab some drinks and leave. The line is often long but goes by pretty quickly for the amount of traffic. They have food options as well as drinks, and they make for a decent snack to hold you over till your next meal. Overall Starbucks is not my cup of coffee, however this location has always done me right and I can see why some people wouldn't mind coming here often to get their morning drink. read more

Typical Starbucks has great customer service but sadly that wasn't my experience this morning. I treated myself to a seasonal drink that was close to 9$ for a grande. The pumpkin cold foam you pay extra for dissolved into my drink within moments. I've been given cold foam on the side before so I went in to ask for more, but for some reason this particular staff member was making it incredibly difficult. She said she couldn't give me just a topping okay I'll bring my drink in, once I did that she said she had to remake it since I drank some of it? What? I don't need more coffee just more of the topping I paid for that completely dissolved the second I drank it. She acted frantic like I was asking something complex, then rudely stated she'd do it this once but they'd never be able to do it again. This is why I prefer local coffee shops to snooty corps like this. Bummer but def won't be back, or maybe I'll just bring my own cold foam read more

I had to drive home to AJ from Tucson this morning for an 0800 hair appt. Having drank 3 cups of coffee I was desperate to use the facilities but the salon owner was running late, so I ran next door to the Starbucks. The restroom door requires a code to be entered, so I hurried up to the counter--May I please have the code for the restroom door?! No you have to make a purchase. Okay I'll make a purchase but may I please have the door code, it's an emergency!? Please! She rolls her eyes and takes her time but finally gives me the 4 digits. I run to the Ladies' and afterward go up to the counter. I begin to order something for my stylist, who enjoys their coffee. (I wouldn't pay their stupid prices.) This young woman says they won't serve me because I was "disrespectful." HOW RESPECTFUL WERE YOU?!? IS THERE NO CIRCUMSTANCE IN WHICH YOU ARE CAPABLE OF USING YOUR OWN BRAIN, and make a suitable judgement call?!?! I guess they haven't heard--woke is dead; the trend now is to use your common sense! read more

The service is poor here. I go for the outside area for good coffee. Caution: if you stay long enough to need to use the restroom, it has a code on the lock you need to get from the counter person, who is focused on drive thru and not much else. A little courtesy instead of of "did you make a purchase?" would go far in producing repeat customers. As for me I will remember the poor service the next time I am deciding where to go for a good $5 cup of coffee! read more

This was one of the worst Starbucks locations I've ever been to. There's a massive line for the drive-thru with drivers entering and exiting right were you pull in. People are not watching what they are doing - driver beware! The parking for walking inside is located on the left side of the Starbucks in the back of the lot and there's only a few parking spaces available. There were people parked there who were living out of their cars and tons of sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot. I absolutely did not feel safe getting out of the car here. This is another great Starbucks knocking it out of the park with a great staff(shout out to Barista Ethan)and the best outdoor patio of any Starbucks I've patronized. It's large with a lot of comfy seating. Highly recommended and I award this location best Cafe in Apache Junction AZ. I rarely award my coveted 6 stars. Overall(all stores together in Arizona), I give Starbucks this award of my own for best large chain customer service in Arizona. Well done read more

This location was very modern and new with lots of promise. Everything but the bathrooms were fairly clean and the store features a drive through. My barista Hannah charged me for an iced tea with lemonade instead of without (I didn't want the lemonade and it was made without). When I asked the barista what the price difference was, she said it was the same - I mentioned usually lemonade costs more and she said she didn't think so. I had to bring up both drinks on my app to show her she over charged me. She was not pleased to have correct the error and made a big deal about it. read more

You know what you are gonna get when you come to Starbucks. Consistent food, beverages and service! Your fav drink or a pour over coffee. Google. But this place takes it up a notch. I give it a whole star just for the in/out door seating. Convivial meeting place. There is a a big veranda / porch with lattice cover which makes for a shady place to get out of the wonderful sunshine! Except today a hail storm pounded the patio! I do not see that often in my Arizona travels. Great service here. A barista opened a bag of beans just for me to make our requested pour over with Ethiopian brand. Kudos! Spacious indoor seating. Enough electrical outlets to keep the lap tops, smart phones and iPads up / downloading photos, apps running wild, googling news, streaming youtube video --and Yelping! There is a drive through window too if you are needing a quick cafein buzz on your way to the Superstition Mountains. This is a notch above the typical Starbucks. read more

The manager here, Rima, needs a new job because she is incredibly rude. I let her know I just put my order in a few minutes ago on the mobile app and proceeded to lecture me about how I shouldn't place my mobile order while I'm in the drive thru, which I didn't. She went on a rant about how she has 10 orders ahead of me and went on and on. I was shocked. All she could of said was it will be a few minutes and I also would have happily pulled around if I needed to. I wasn't expecting my order right then and there. Never have I been treated this way by a Starbucks employee. Rima has a great way of belittling people and making them feel stupid. There are so many coffee shops in the area now that I don't need to go here anymore. read more

Very friendly staff, and the quality was consistent with the other Starbucks; but one of the longest waits I've ever had. We live in a world where everyone is short staffed and nothing is fast anymore and I've had to leave lines several times to not be late for work, but this time I was in the drive through because I had my son and therefor could not Leave and ended up being late for our appointment. We payed for our order and while we waited for our drinks the lady at the drive through was so awkward, hung out the window and just stared at my husband for the whole 5 minutes we were waiting and kept telling us it will be right out instead of actually going in and making our drinks. very strange. read more

I love this location! Everyone is really friendly. They go out of their way to remember your orders. I love the very berry refreshers and the cake pops. My kids love the caramel frappes and the scones. Ordering online and picking it up through the drive thru is so much easier than trying to park in this tiny area. Downside: In the winter, the parking lot is miserable to try and maneuver. read more

I never thought I would say you should got to Apache Junction for your coffee, but you should... I regular 6 different Starbucks locations b/c I go there to write and do other stuff I don't want to do at home (where I work). This location is the best one. It's huge. Seriously, it's huge. I think the manager told me it's the biggest in the state. Or maybe it's the highest selling one. Or both. Probably both. I'm staring at the massive patio right now as I sit inside on their cushy chairs (this one also has the most comfortable soft chairs) and I'm counting about 12 tables on the patio (can't see them all). It has a lattice-type patio cover and of course, it has misters. All Starbucks locations seem to have a staff with friendliness super powers, where they know your name and they know your drink if you're a regular, but this particular staff even tops the rest. I've noticed them prompting their new employees on the names and drinks of the customers. There are a lot of tables and it's an open environment -- not cramped like some Starbucks locations. There's also a lot of talented regulars here who are possibly too eager to be your friend if you become a regular, too. That could be a plus or a minus, depending on who you are. ;) read more

Don't go to this location. I am a Starbucks aholic.i stop nowhere else for coffee and travel across the country often so I visit many locations. That being said I know the price of what I order. So when the price was different I questioned it. Some snotty young manager proceeded to tell me that every other store across the country is mischarging me and his price is right. Then I get me drink and the cup has stuff dripping down all over it. Won't go back there even though it is around the corner. read more

I used to love this Starbucks but recently it has gone down hill. The last 3 times I was there (different days of the week / morning, afternoon and eve) my space has been invaded by non-paying customers and smokers. If I am spending between 10.00 - 25.00 for a coffee and food and others are drinking free water there is a problem. I have approached by others for money, use of my cell phone and if they could buy my sons beanie. I have watched a young man lay on the floor right in front of the entrance and people have stepped over him. I have endured a 6 kids running around the patio yelling while their mothers have sat there eating and drinking their food from Jack in the box. ALL of the above instances have been witnessed by Starbucks employees and nothing was ever addressed. read more

Yeah, I'm giving a Starbucks in Apache Junction, one that screwed up my order, four stars. Here's why. They were nice to me. Not that I typically get treated like garbage everywhere I go (usually just bars), but I do love me some great service, and it does seem harder and harder to come by these days. The four ladies manning this location did not skimp on the little courtesies that seem to be missing in our culture, and they managed to be really nice and seem quite genuine about it as well. It makes me want to go through their training program, just so I can learn how to be so nice. Seriously, I doubt Starbucks could pay me enough to be that nice to every jackass who walks in the door. So five stars for customer service, even though they added whipped cream when I asked them (not entirely politely, either) not to. I guess I was disappointed that my first choice was closed, so I was more than a little terse. The lady taking my order recommended a focaccia sandwich, the ham and cheese, and told me they were very good warmed up. I took her advice, and was fairly pleased, though not blown away. Seriously, the last time I was at a Starbucks was months ago, and I very rarely order food here, so I was staring dumbly at the options for several seconds before she took pity on me. Three stars. The location is by far the funniest Starbucks I've ever experienced. It's built up above the surrounding drive through - like a castle with a moat filled with deadly domestic cars - and has a huge porch out front. The porch is covered with a lattice but also has the typical Starbucks umbrellas as well for full shade when it's required. Anyway this place gets four stars b/c it's staffed by geniuses. I should have tipped you. I will be back next time I'm in the area (seriously, it's a 45 minute drive and crappy FM isn't going to be able to keep me awake by itself). read more
