The counter is covered in stickers from coffee spots all over, so you can tell this crew has been around and built real relationships along the way. They're sourcing from Intelligentsia, so the coffee itself is dialed in from the start. There's also a community board by the counter, full of local business cards and notices. It tells you this isn't just a coffee shop, it's a hub for the neighborhood. They even put out a newsletter to keep people plugged into what's happening around the shop. That's one I haven't seen in a while - these things take time and heart to put together...so well done guys The menu is where it gets fun, especially the summer menu. Somebody clearly had a blast putting these drinks together. Looking around, the café is this unique blend of styles and tastes, and that blend just works...beautifully so. I grabbed an espresso and just enjoyed the energy of the place. There's a wall of records with a story behind it you'll have to go in and hear for yourself, and the vintage art scattered throughout ties the whole space together.
