This location keeps going down hill in a hurry. About 90% of the time I go there they are out of something. I ordered a caramel apple spice yesterday and I was told they are out of apple juice. I went today, ordered the same drink and a medicine ball. They were out of apple juice!!! Again! Also out of the mint tea. This happens way too often. Just awful. I've seen the apple juice they use and it's not some special brand. There is a Smith's up Montgomery or Walgreens across the street! Take care of your customers. I love waiting in the drive-thru just to be told they can't make my drink. Then I'm stuck in the line with no way of getting out. Poor customer service. read more

Moved here in August and started frequenting this Starbucks, for the most part they are all the same with one exception, staffing! The quality of staff is not consistent from store to store, you can get exceptional and friendly service at one store and get an opposite service at another store, IMHO its the managers that make the difference. This store must have a quality manager, the staff is almost always friendly and cheerful, the quality of the service is almost always top notch. But on this Christmas morning I went in for drink and the person was unpacking the shipment and instead of telling me they were out of product, he said no, let me dig through and find what you want and make it for you! That is ABOVE and BEYOND, then because I'm a veteran they went further and purchased my drink for me, I was incredibly humbled and touched. They secured my loyalty I can tell you that! Not because of a free drink, because they went further than they needed to, because they saw me as a person and not just another head through the door. What is up with this location!? Second time visiting and we are met with rude and dismissive employees! First we waited 15 minutes before even ordering (yes, I timed it per our last visit) and then when we ordered, it took another 20 minutes, at the window, for our drinks to come out. We ordered three drinks and got only two. Asking for our third, and mind you, there is zero conversation from the employee at the window. I am unsure what gender the employee identifies as but I could tell what to call her/him. Finally, we are given a vente cup with two ice cubes in it and the name on the cup is NOT ours. We identify the issue and we are asked what we ordered again. Another ten minutes and we got the drink but it SUCKS!!! It doesn't taste right! This location has gone down hill and the staff no kidding lack what Starbucks teaches and preaches! That was my last visit at that location. This feedback will be making its way to corporate. I'm an avid Starbucks drinker and since moving to the NE heights, this is a prime location for them. However, this location, in the 10+ times I have gone, is always extremely slow and rude. Today was the worst of all. I mobile ordered my drink 20 minutes prior to getting there. It was sitting on the counter when I walked in and as I tried to stop any of the FIVE people working, I was ignored by multiple. I finally reached around the glass and over the counter because I had waited 5+ minutes for the drink that was 4 feet away from me. Rude staff, over and over again. Seems like a really hostile workplace at this location. Not a good one if you can avoid it. read more

Ordered a coffee with four sugars and got none. Ordered a mocha with an extra shot and didn't get it. They put your instructions on the screen when you order, but the instructions don't carry through to the final product. This use to be my favorite Starbucks every weekend morning before I go to work. Lately, they've been more rude, no thank you's or your welcome and the coffee has been very bland. If I'm paying for coffee than it shouldn't taste flavorless. I've tried multiple times to give them more chances thinking it's just someone having a bad morning. But..... I've also came during a weekday and ordered other drinks. Still, they are rude and when I asked for a driving holder, the response was we don't have any and gave me a look like "hurry and take your drinks".. Wow!!! This NE heights Starbucks is pretty cool and of course hits your beverage needs! Located across from Eldorado High School, this Starbucks is one of the newer locations in town but they got it down! The drinking/store area is spacious with plenty of comfy couches and tables to lounge, enjoy some self time or chat with friends. Friendly staff, clean environment, good variety of cups/merchandise and conveniently located in the NE Heights. Enjoy! read more

Came on a Saturday, totally expect it to be busy and packed- it wasn't that busy when we placed our order: 1. Grande Americano black 2. Grande iced caramel macchiato 3. Bag of coffee ground espresso grind. Got drinks- waited 20 minutes total for ground coffee- this is after we went back up to talk to Rae, who took the initial order, and she waved us off in rude, non- customer friendly fashion. I got back in line after waiting a bit and she just happened to walk out from behind the counter. I politely asked if we could get our ground coffee and got a snippy "I am working on it- it spilled so we have to get you a new bag" This is NOT how you talk to customers and it seems to be an increasing trend with the "younger generation" - manners and courtesy are rapidly fading. If I had talked to someone like that my mom would have given me the what-for. read more

If you like waiting, waiting, waiting, and then waiting some more, then this Starbucks location is definitely for you. Probably the slowest Starbucks in all of NM if not the world. Awesome place to visit if you develop that special feeling to miss an important meeting or perhaps even run out of gas in their drive thru. Just when you think the waiting is over, you'll be waiting some more! Legends say that they have resorted to hiring a crew of sloths in order to stay profitable during covid. No idea if the tail is true or not, but probably. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location so you can see your children grow up in person instead of having to look at their Instagram photos as they age while you wait in line. This Starbucks location is my favorite place to have a coffee moment with family and friends. In fact, there are 3 locations closer to me, but those don't come close to the warm, friendly service or ability to make my delicious toffee nut latte. The outdoor seating has lots of room and shade so that many people can bring their dogs along for the coffee moment. In addition, we often have my grandchildren with us. We are teaching them how to order what they want and to be respectful. Every Barista that has waited on them at this location has been friendly and patient, which has helped build up their confidence! I would give this location 10 stars if I could! read more

Since there are no local coffee shops nearby Starbucks is really the only option for a quick cup of coffee. Had to wait 10 minutes on a non busy afternoon for a Clover coffee. Not impressed with this location at all. How can you have six employees on shift and only two seem to working. Malachi, only batista, while others are counting tips, chit-chating and definitely not helping make drinks. He and the drive thru employee are the only reason for two stars. I am a frequent customer at this Starbucks location and while my order is simple (Tall iced Americano long shots in a "for here" cup) it is always made perfectly and customer service is absolutely top notch! I have never had a negative experience with an order nor a member of staff and tend to be a relatively demanding and difficult customer. I have been going to this Starbucks drivethru daily for about 2 months. The cappuccino I order is quite often inconsistent. Sometimes it's bone dry. Sometimes the glass is filled almost to the tippy top like a latte. I'm thinking of trying a different location or Satellite. Starbucks should be able to make a consistent Cappuccino. read more

I usually open my store early in the morning and this Starbucks is right on my way into work. A mocha frappe with double shot espresso always does the trick for me. I guess some people have nothing better to do that write snide comments. It's high paced fast food service. You think you can do better? Then get behind the counter and get your butt working. First if they were rude over the phone as I attempted to place a big order the phone and was told to order on the app! I guess human contact isn't the norm anymore!!! I've been using this location for the last two years and, finally, have decided never again. My daughter and son-in-law stopped going last year, but I continued to accept poor quality of service because I shop at the stores in the area. Their barista staff doesn't seem to understand they are working and not hanging out. It reminds me of trying to communicate with a bored teenager. It just isn't going to happen. Today I ordered a black tea lemonade sweetened for my daughter (she warned me, but I didn't listen) and I don't know what the hell they did but it was awful. Light on tea taste and strong on lemon water. I returned it and received adequate black tea lemonade. After I get a mile down Montgomery I noticed the lime in my lime refresher is old and rotten. It was gross. Someone had cut away most of the old peel, but the fruit was old and brown. I didn't go back and I never will and I don't think the management cares because it seems most of their business comes from high school students since El Dorado is located across the street. read more
