(i did have to take a star off bc one my nails popped fully off within a week but i bought store glue and put it back on. no big deal to me. also photos are after a little over a week)

When I went in to get it fixed the manager or owner was on ft with another employee. She didn't remember me at first but after I said I specifically asked for tips with acrylic she's like no you said gel builder. I told her no I never asked for that because I've been getting them done at a different place but the same style for years and they always last me a month plus. I'm upset because they are extremely thin and bend whenever I put a sock on or they rub against something. I expressed to her this is not what I asked for and they weren't done correctly. When they fixed my toe the first time it doesn't even match the color as the other ones and it was done poorly as you can tell by the photo. Now this is the second nail that has broken off. First one cracked off from bedding after putting on a sock. Second one broke off from moving my toe against my blanket. One employee did tell me she remembers when I said acrylic but the manager said to lady doing my toes to do gel builder. Also, did ask for them shorter but they didn't do it either. My mistake for not paying more attention and speaking up. Probably was done to get the job done faster. Extremely dissatisfied with this service. The manager (owner) really tried to blame me for choosing gel builder even though I did not and I told her over and over I did not choose it. I said it should not have cracked or fell off due to putting on a sock. This never happened before when I get this done with my toes.

I research Yelp very thoroughly reading as many reviews as possible. This takes days. I selected Will and found his work to be IMPECCABLE, extremely meticulous, top top quality, strong and they lasted 5 -6 weeks before one loosened. He has many many years of experience. A four star rating instead of a much deserved 5 star is because of only 2 factors: the liquid compound he uses to mix with the acrylic powder, and the final finishing "sanding smoothing" step of the new acrylic nail . My dad was a Prof of Biochemistry so I am very aware of chemicals. Will unfortunately uses an unusually strong smelling chemical needed to bond the acrylic powder. I have asthma too and could not tolerate the pungency of this chemical. Then in the final filing/ smoothing of the newly bonded acrylic he uses his tiny electric sander which creates a very fine granular dust which bothered my eyes and caused me to cough. My former acrylic nail beautician in Florida did this sanding via hand. This manual process greatly decreases the high volume of dust. I can not ask Will to use a less toxic pungent chemical nor switch to manual sanding. So sadly I must find someone else. He is an EXTREMELY good artisan and craftsman and gave me BEAUTIFUL nails!!

Expect street parking, but there is usually plenty nearby. There is also a Dunn Bros coffee right around the corner so the location is great for grabbing a to-go drink and then heading for some enjoyable salon time. I love the way my nails turned out and the staff members were very nice. This is not a cheap salon but I feel the quality, attention to detail, and the environment is worth the price and seems fair.
