Honestly, I've reached out to the Staples corporation multiple times about this location. Whenever I go there with a list of only 3 things...they manage to only have 1 of those items in stock. They keep me waiting for 20 minutes while they "check the back" and always come back empty handed. I was informed by a Staples representative (who contacted me via email when I complained about their lack of inventory previously) and they told me the situation had been fixed. All excited, I head back to Staples for a pleasant experience only to find out that they had nothing I needed. I go to Office Depot down the street now. I went to Staples, because my normal printing place couldn't print on a specific heavy cardstock. I had to do a project very fast for a client and it totally threw everything in flux for the day. As a last resort, I remembered that Staples did printing, and ran over. I talked to Michael and he was so helpful and fun. He said that he thought the cardstock wouldn't be a problem, did a set up feature for me and even did a quick edit that saved me a little extra money with them in the long term. A Plus customer service and really went the extra mile which was appreciated. Highly recommended! read more

I think Karen (the manager) and Fidel are very helpful and went above and beyond when my order was shipped to my house not complete. But the attitude of a worker named Hector was absolutely ridiculous he wanted to do nothing to help whatsoever except return my product and he had an attitude the whole way. I was shocked to be treated as a customer that way since I've been going there for years, but then Karen and Fidel saw what was going on and came over and took over the situation and I left with my product complete and a smile on my face thanks to them. I think Hector should go into a different line of work that doesn't involve customer service. So I would've given Staples five stars if it wasn't for Hector and his rude, lazy attitude. read more

My girlfriend and I were there on Sunday and PETER was awesome - super helpful, gave us what we needed, guided us towards a good printer and supplies.... we were all ready to spend about $200 there, but we needed a pack of photo paper trimmed ("2 quick cuts" according to the girl working in the print area) - but they couldn't do it until the next day because of "pending jobs". Jobs that weren't getting done while the two people in the printing area stood around and chatted. We asked the manager if she could help us out, but she just gave us a blanket "nope, sorry." Terrible customer service. So we left, went to Office Depot down the road, spent our $200 there. read more

Gotta love the Stapes. If you go during the day on a weekday the parking is totally SWEET and there aren't a ton of people in the store. Having enough parking is a semi-miracle in L.A. So that's one reason I will ALWAYS go here if I need office supplies. And I am the kind of nerd who loves new pencils and markers and such. Heh. I haven't ever had to ask the storepeople for assistance, so I can't comment on their helpfulness. But I've never had to wait in line for more than 2-3 minutes, and they have always been polite while ringing up my stuff. So at least they keep those lines moving fast during the day! Nights/weekends may be another story, I haven't been there during those times. read more

I stopped in this particular Staples twice while in Studio City. Both times was to print memorial items for a service I was attending. The first time I stopped in, the guys at the printing desk were great ~ very helpful, knowledgeable and even allowed me to assist them with what I needed to print because I was using a MacBook. The second time the manager was the sole person working in the printing area. She was rude, uneducated as far as printing. Even though I told her I was in a huge hurry to simply reprint one (1) sheet, she was unsure of herself in printing on my velum paper so kept putting me off. She even said, "the other guy will return from lunch at 2:00". What?! I finally said, I'll walk you through it! She was running another customer's 11x17 documents and truly was not capable of multi-tasking. When the 11x17 sheets came out of the printer they went all over the floor because she failed to put up the proper hold mechanism on the printer. It was crazy! She totally needs to be retrained. read more

Had a sudden huge problem with my laptop on a Saturday and I took it in. Hector checked it out. He really wanted to help me and he fixed it in like 15 minutes. He did not even charge me even though I offered to pay for it. That was really nice of him. Thank you, Hector!! You and Staples just earned my respect. read more

I bought a Staples paper shredder in June for $60. By the time August came , I had to have it replaced by the 800 help # THREE times...it got stuck and I was being careful: no staples, no sticky paper, no running it more than 5 minutes... Anyway, I got fed up of returning the bad one, getting a new one, it failing...Etc When I called the Staples store in Studio City , where I had purchased it , the salesgirl told me to bring it in and my money would be refunded. When I got here, the manager absolutely refused to refund me ... As it had been bought in June and they had a 2 week return policy. I had all my paperwork with the obvious three returns of the item in less than two months. I left it there, called my credit card and was refunded anyway. I've been a Staples customer since this store opened and have generally had good service and received high quality products from them, especially their printing services. However I recently had the tech services people change the battery in my iPhone 6 and the experience seemed to be incompetent, dishonest or both. The first replacement battery lost its charge within a half day and I returned to have it replaced. The second battery had worse performance, losing 1% of its charge every one minute. The third replacement battery had similar poor performance plus my ear speaker and reverse camera had stopped working. When I brought it back they replaced the screen (without asking me) with a defective screen. When I showed this to the technician he agreed and they put my old screen back in, but the ear speaker, reverse camera and battery problems remained. I finally had the ear speaker/reverse camera problem repaired by another company and they explained that the camera flex cable had likely been torn when the case was opened previously (Staples had opened the case at least four times but claimed they could not have damaged the cable). Staples did give me a series of $20 product certificates for my trouble, beginning with the second battery replacement but after six trips to the store and a damaged phone in the end I feel I must warn others not to risk having your phone serviced there. read more

The copy guys suck. I went there to get 50 copies on a little bit thicker stock than normal paper. Got there and were 4 guys in the back sitting by the printers. I mean they were literally sitting. Three of them looked at me. Took them 5 minutes for one of them to come up to help me. His name is Michael. Total jerk. Then he told me to come back tomorrow at noon they were too busy. (It was two in the afternoon) I said how many before me, he a couple. I said 2? Yep. So you have 2 people printing before me and their jobs are so big it's going to take you till noon tomorrow to finish them? He said yes they are. WOW! Total bull but wow. So then I suggest that maybe one of the 4 of them sitting in the back could just grab some thicker stock paper and put it in the self serve printers and I'd just print them myself. No. Have to come back at noon tomorrow. Then he gets his smirk on his face so I had enough and went to speak to the manager Claudia Ayala. She told me it wasn't her department. WHAT!?! I asked her if she was the store manager wouldn't the entire store be her department? So then she said she'd talk to him and said anything else? Never an apology for the way I was treated. Nothing. I left her my number and she calls me back an hour later, (because I told her I wasn't going to let this go) and tells me that I'd need to come back at noon tomorrow. I told her I already went to the grown up store, (Fed Ex Copies on Ventura & Laurel Canyon) and I'm already done. read more

Never buy the Staples Waranty it's a waste of money. I bought an HP PHOTOSMART , they foisted the "no hassle" warranty on me. When the machine snafu'd up I was told at the store I needed to "ship" this very large machine to HP first. Imagine that? The warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on. Lesson? Don't waste your money on that crap. Office Depot? Same thing when I bought my replacement 8500 series. They tried to sell me the warranty but the salesperson refused to write a guaranty on Office Depot letterhead. Bottom line I've never heard from staples re my claim. read more

Was time for a new office/computer chair and after shopping around I found one here. I work near the Woodlands Hills location just live near the Studio City location. There was a small error on the chair and luckily I came across Veronica who helped me out. She had George help me pick out the perfect chair. Customer service goes a long way and Veronica went out of her way to keep me happy and I would go back and ask for her assistance. Staples is lucky to have her on their team! read more

I am a business owner and have been working with Staples print department in Studio City for 4 years now. They have been truly fantastic to me. Everyone is always extremely helpful and go out of their way for me. I will give an extra shout out to the employees Rod, Russ, and Daniel. Such great guys! The store manager is great too, although her name escapes me. I just wish they would up date the computers in the print department, they currently are ancient, and to hire a few more people to help out, as they have way too much to handle daily. read more

I have always thought this was the best Staples I have been into. Their employees are knowledgeable and helpful. I was buying a new office chair called the Baird chair. I had a used my chair for about 10 days and was not happy with the comfort for over 4 hours sitting in he chair. It was so easy to return the built chair and with no questions asked. I just mentioned it was not comfortable for my body. Kind of like how easy returns are at Costco. They said no problems and did not try to sell me on another chair. They just said go check out the other chairs and see if you can find something you like. They give you 14 days to return any item. I picked a Tempur Pedic office chair and I am very happy with my new chair and the seat is comfortable with good back support for sitting over 8 hours. We came in and purchased a set of chairs for assembly and pickup. We got a voicemail from the company telling us the chairs were ready, so clearly they had a record of our purchase and my information. When I got there, the operations supervisor Hector claimed there was no way they could look up the purchase - no search of my phone number, no search of my name, no search of the credit card number, even though I provided all those things when I bought the item. That I was just out of luck. Only when I went over his head was I able to get the chairs I paid for. He showed no interest in looking up the purchase using any of the numerous ways at his disposal, and simply expected us to leave without the chairs we spent hundreds of dollars on. Don't go here, find another Staples. read more

I like this Staples. It has the feel and service of a local store rather than the corporate giant child. I bought my notebook here last summer and the tech center was really efficient. The carryover of all my old files to the new notebook, plus the addition of a couple of box applications such as Office 2010 went easily, too. I asked for show and tell and went back several times to the same experience, whomever was on staff at the tech center [and this is one of the major tech centers for Staples in the valley] went right to it without hesitation. Most of the tech folks, and other sales personnel, too, are college students. That gives the place a nice up feeling and some good energy. You don't see alot of tired faces. The copy center will rival Kinkos any day. Where else have you found supplies free of charge on the workstations by the self serv copy machines? I took a double take the first time I went in there and found a stapler, post its, clips, and the like. I found the same thing the next 10 times I ran in to make some quick copies. And the machines are stocked and running each time I've been in to use them. No frustrations with cranky machines. Which brings me back to the energy of the staff. Looks like all is pretty sunny at Staples, Studio City. Recommended. read more

Just had my computer repaired, Everything was perfect, HECTOR at EasyTech is the best :)

Went in to get some basic 1/2 sheet shipping labels. Totally out. They only carry Avery labels which were half stocked and no backup inventory. Office Depot on Ventura was always fully stocked with 2 or 3 different brands to choose from. Hard to get any assistance from anyone. I was told by an employee that this was a superstore and that they had limited staff to keep prices low. Sorry..nothing here is low priced. read more

Yes folks it's that time of the year! BACK 2 School! but since i'm not in school I really don't care but I did need a Dry Erase Marker Board so that was my mission. This place blows if you're in the need for assistance because all the workers are slackers without a care for customer service. When you walk in it's always chill time for them except at shift change when the fresh peeps come in ready to work but it'll slowly fade after that and we'll be back where we started. Well after weaving all over the store I finally find my aisle and I pick up a magnetic board and I thought it was 23 dollars but when I made it to the register it was 54 dollars so the girl proceeded to call for a price check. I stopped her beacause I know the drill when you call someone for a price check that means the laziest person in the store has to now get up and go to work which means there gonna take there time, so I went to find it on my own and brought back the cheaper one they meant for me to get. Ok that wasn't the end I had to bring it back because I it was broke that took about 45 min because the help sucks plus the store was overrun with kids shopping for school stuff. Don't go here if you're in a hurry but I could be wrong. Please someone else go here and tell me it was just that day. read more

So today I went into Staples to get siome ink and other things for my classroom. There were tons of great deals, like $1 binders and classroom essentials for under $5. As I was checking out I was talking to the manager, I think, and was telling her I was a teacher. She was super cool and told me she had a few things they didn't need and could donate to my classroom. She went into the back and came back with a bunch of awesome things my students needed, and I could use for my "treasure box". Karen just made my week!!! She is super awesome and helpful!! Soooooo Friendly at the print shop, and WAY cheaper than kinkos!

I have come to this location for printing services countless times, and wish i had been given the usual exemplary, above-and-beyond service when I came in for printing this evening... No such luck. I came in around 8pm and associate Alex "helped" me. When I came in and asked if I could print a few things, he reluctantly obliged, but not without rolling his eyes in palpable annoyance first. I asked if we could resize a pdf file and instead of offering to help me or let me figure out myself, he said that I could go home and do it online, which would mean I would have to return in the morning- not an option when something is due first thing. His demeanor was extremely disappointing, and if I come in to get printing done and he is working, I would prefer to go elsewhere just to avoid having him "help" me... Sorry for interrupting your closing duties an hour prior to closing, Alex. Lesson learned. read more
