Staples Store, Napa, CA - Ream Paper Pricing (08/27/15) The shelf tag for a ream of Multipurpose laser paper showed a sale price of $3.00. Great! At the checkout register, however, the actual cost was $7.79 plus tax! In order to get the $3.00 sale price, you have to US mail a form to Texas and wait for your refund balance of $4.79. The problem was that the details shown on the shelf price tag was in such tiny print that you could hardly read it. It did not even show the regular price in large print. This is the old bait and switch game, plus a scheme to obtain your US mailing address for marketing purposes. There is no reason why the shelf tag couldn't be a 2" x 4" size with more space to make the terms more clearly visible. read more

Service here is as good as it gets! I'm at Staples in Napa every few weeks purchasing this and that for my office. The service is always great. Anyone and everyone is willing to help - what a nice change from other stores where employees look as though they would rather be anywhere else. Not so here - people are upbeat and friendly. A few weeks ago, after banging my head against the wall because my computer got all wonky on me.... I brought it to the good folks at Staples in Napa. Lo and behond - they were able to rescue it (and my sanity)! Apparently, it had several viruses which were removed promptly. Thank you to the technician, Austin, and to the store manager, Bernadette, who were both BEYOND GREAT! It's been a few weeks now and my computer is still running perfectly. read more

I am so over this store. Twice in the past few months I have gone in there to use their copy services. The first time they were all not working. Ok. Didn't think much of it but when it happens again 2 months later I am not happy. I even called , the girl could have told me they were not working. They didn't have any toner in them so I asked can you just put some in but no they couldn't because they didn't even have any toner to put in. WHAT? Two people told us the lady in the printing area could do it but she informed us she could not. They were indifferent and could care a less about helping us. Terrible, incompetent service not once but twice. I won't waste my time going back there. Total joke. Who evers running that place should be replaced. I notice they get a lot of 1 stars. read more

Went in to just print out a page. Both printers were occupied and customers were taking a long time and organizing as they go. No I wasn't expecting the employees to tell them speed it up. But after 15 minutes my patience ran out and I had to track down an employee and ask for assistance and see if they could print it out - after all behind their counter they had copy machines, printers and computers. The response was no our machines are down. The only machines that work are the two being used by the two customers?? The employee standing next to him when he said it looked perplexed at his response. I asked for other suggestions or options to get these two pages printed out and surprise he had nothing. He was rude, provided poor customer service, and lazy. I've been in the store a few times - so I wasn't expecting much in customer service - it's not a very friendly group of employees but they at least try to be pleasant. DO NOT GO HERE FOR THE COPY AND PRINT CENTER! They advertised "same day business cards" so I go in there to get them done, and first they can't even figure out a way to properly fit it to the business card format. So they had to send in my design to somewhere else to get formatted..okay whatever. So I go back a couple days later to try this again now that they have my business card photos in the right format, and the lady took so long on the computer that she asked me, "do you want to just come back later?" So I said whatever and asked for an estimate on 250 cards and 500 cards..she says oh I'll have to call you for that cause I need to call and ask for a quote. So they call me about a WEEK later and tell me and estimate for 250 cards..so I ask okay, and what about the 500? And the lady says oh I'll have to call you back tomorrow for that. And I never got a call again. OH and I also was having them print out a poster for me, which I saw done one of the times I went in there, so I asked them to laminate it for me and I'd pick it up when I came back for my business cards. Well, I went in there and apparently the printer is broken so they don't have my poster? And not a word about my business cards. So I told her cancel everything because they obviously have NO CLUE what they are doing there. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Terrible customer service. I was looking for laminating pouches and couldn't find them. After 20 minutes, no associates had asked if I needed help, despite quite a few walking past me. Really disappointed and will not be back unless I'm desperate. read more

Whatever you do, don't try to contact anyone at this store by phone. I was put on hold 6 times and waited over 30 minutes total. I'm still waiting after 4 days to see if my order is ready and again I'm on hold with no one coming to the phone. Is this how you do business??? Never doing business with this store again. We bought a printer at Staples and a week later, it went on sale. They refused to refund the difference to us. They were really rude and acted like we were bothering them. My husband called and talked to the manager and he said that he wasn't aware of the law. I took my lap top in and the Tech said that I could fix it. I tried but the way that he told me to fix it, didn't work. When I took it back in to the store, he said that he didn't think it could be fixed. He was really rude. He acted like he was bored and didn't have time to help me. I think we will find another store to shop in read more

Horrible horrible service. I returned something and they gave me a gift card for it and it didn't work. I went in a half hour later and they accused me of using the money off of it even though you couldn't even use the card because the pin was invalid and basically told me the money disappeared and they can't do anything even though I had the receipt with the balance on it. They are incompetent workers and I've never been treated so rude in my life. They treated me like I was trying to scam them and like I was scum of the earth. Horrible horrible experience. read more

I was blown away by the great technical support I received at Staples for my very old PC. They really put the "easy" in their easytech computer services. All their tech people seemed knowledgable - Josh and Nick worked on my computer. I needed a new video card - which was very complicated because the new card I selected was too advanced for the machine - they helped me find an older model that works perfectly! I also got a free tuneup to check the computer and only paid $40 for them to install the new video card - my computer works perfectly and even better than before! I will definitely buy my next computer from them - they have a computer set up program where they will get the computer set up, make the restore disks, and install new software for you. My success at Staples was even more significant because I had also called Best Buy about replacing my video card - Best Buy said they didn't even sell the video card I needed and Best Buy would not even install something I bought elsewhere - Best Buy has lost my business forever! read more

Horribly incompetent store personnel. I was looking for a discontinued item online. The Staples in Napa showed that they had (3) so I purchased them right up. Since I don't live in Napa I called to ask if a friend could pick it up for me. They had to check with a manager. Then the person said "yes, that's fine". I had to ask, "don't you want my order number or name or the name of who is picking it up"? She said "oh yeah, go ahead". So I gave her the info. My friend went in and picked it up and brought it to me. Wrong items. So I called the store. I explained my story and the gal at the other end asked me to repeat it slower. So I repeated it. She asked what item it was for. I gave her the item number I was looking at on my screen. She started to look it up and first said they had 2 in store then no, they don't have any left. She said they have a different size in the yellow. I told her I needed that size I ordered and - wait, the item I ordered wasn't yellow and the size she read me was wrong too. I asked if she was looking at the item number and she said she was looking at "similar items". I told her this was a specific item which is why I ordered it. She then said, "oh, then no we don't have it". So I asked how I get my refund and she said I have to come into the store. I don't want to make my friend go back so I have to make an extra trip to do this. What a horrible waste of time. Their online inventory of stores sucks! We dropped off our USPS package with a pre printed label. At that time they would not give me a receipt (HUMMM). It was either STOLEN or "LOST" by staples. After not being able to track it for 5 days we went in to the store. We called the company that had insurance. All they needed was proof we dropped off a package. The assistant manager knows us because we have purchased several computers from them. He remembers us dropping off the package. They said their cameras did not work and they could not give us statement that it was dropped off. The assistant manager wanted to give us a statement but he was afraid he would be fired. A company that bullies their employees to lie. He told me he felt bad and what he was asked to do was wrong. I called their corporate office after going into the store countless times. No one will talk to you and they will not allow you to talk to anyone. They said the statement puts them in an unfavorable situation--they want their employees to lie even when it costs a 15 year old boy a 3D printer he saved for over a year. We only need a statement that says what happened and they admit happened. What does this teach my son-- to lie when it puts you in an unfavorable position. Really! Corporate has gone wrong.
