Store is a bit older and run-down looking, but they have all the standard Staples stuff, and staff was quick to get to my online order and get me out the door. This is the worst store!! I went to purchase printer paper and was standing in line with several other folks to pay when the cashier announced he had to go and help another customer and he would be back whenever. It turns out he was the only employee in the store!! No self checkout either. I finally left the store and bought some paper at Walgreens. read more

Horrific service, called ahead to confirm they had an item and they said they would place it on hold. I drove over 40 minutes to pick the item up and they sold it before I got there even though it was on hold. To make matters worse they weren't even apologetic. The woman who I spoke to about placing it on hold at least looked upset on my behalf but the gentleman at customer service could not care less about my issue, just an "oh well" mentality. I will never shop in this location ever again and I will warn others to do the same as it's clear they have no care for their customers. read more

I asked one employ if they sold something and they told me yes and never came back i asked Joseph for this same item and he went and received it right away . After reading the reviews to this particular Staples I couldn't help but laugh. What are people thinking when you go to a Staples? It's Best Buys red cousin...but I digress, my experience wasn't all that bad. *Yes I had to hunt down someone for assistance but I would prefer that over someone following me. Just be available, that's all. *Checkout was a breeze and the man who checked me out (well not that way...) was personable/normal. *Prices are a bit on the higher end for computer products but they do have a lot of office supply items at comparable prices (they will match online advertised products with proof). I visited this store today to buy ink cartridges for my printer. Their display wall had two plastic display boxes for the multi-pack I was looking for. When I handed the box to the cashier so that she could get the actual multi-pack, she came back with a different multi-pack. When I objected, she told me they were out of the multi-pack I wanted. When I asked why two were on display, I was told that was just advertising. This is instead just a bait and switch ploy. A number of cartridge offerings on the wall were missing, meaning they were not in stock. They shouldn't put packs on the wall if there are none in stock. Many times in the past, at this same store, I was told if the ink was not on the display wall, it was not in stock. Today, I was condescended to by being told it was just advertising. If it's not in stock, then don't display it on the display wall. read more

Wanted a few documents scanned. No big deal. Then they say they charge $1.99 per page. To scan. I said per document or per page? They say per page. Docs were normal size and black and white. Nothing fancy. I ask does anyone pay hat price? They say yes. I say yeah, right. Avoid this place. Like the plague. Ended up going to Fedex Office. Their computer department runs a service called EasyTech, the staff have no idea what is going on because all Staples does is to run a program from Norton. Right now my computer is still at Staples as they endeavour to give me some satisfactory answers, their report gauged my computer to be running qt 42% of something and they tried to give it back to me running at 50%. When i asked for more detail the technician had no idea, he tried to get rid of me by saying that the %age would be increased if I added more RAM. Nonsense. The flyer that advertises the service mentions nothing about Norton but surprise, surprise the Staples technicians recommend getting the best version of Norton. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I used to use the staples in Summit and was extremely disheartened when I found they closed their doors (they were wonderful to work with!!) So, I tried the Madison Location hoping for some help with a quick print job for an event my company was hosting that coming weekend. I stopped in on Tuesday evening to drop off an 8 page file to be printed by Friday evening. My friend and I stood at the service desk for 8 minutes (yes we actually counted the minutes...) while we were completely ignored by THREE employees. We made eye contact with one of the employees and after a few more minutes and a severe eye roll she finally made her way up to us. I explained to her what I was looking to order and she proceeded to hand me a post-it-note to write my order on... REALLY? After I wrote my name & contact she decided the post-it-note wouldn't do so I had to re-write my order on a blank 8x10 sheet of white paper... I was a little concerned but proceeded on. When I asked her if I could pick up the order by Friday evening (mind you it's Tuesday and the order is very basic) I was told verbatim, "I can't promise noth'n." HOW DO THESE PEOPLE KEEP THEIR JOBS????!!! I asked her what she COULD promise and she said she didn't know because they are really busy... I asked to speak to a manager and she rolled her eyes at me and looked back to the OTHER employee who (I then realized was the manager) had ignored us standing there for the 8 minutes prior to this horrific encounter. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. I left the store and drove all the way to Somerset Staples the following day who were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. read more

This review only pertains to the Easy Tech desk; I'm sure the office supplies sold in the store are fine. Rather than Easy Tech, I would refer to the team as Easy Theft. The team is on commission, so they will try to sell you services you don't need, to solve problems your computer does not have. I took my computer in after it was infected by a virus, and first, it took them a full week to look into what was wrong. After a week of no contact, they said that I needed a new hard drive, and a bundle of services (installation, recovery, diagnostic, warranty, service - every time they move a finger, there is a fee) at a total cost of approximately $500. I said no thanks, since at that price, I could buy a new computer. I took my computer to a local computer shop, and they fixed the problem for about $100, and guess what - I didn't need a new hard drive. The one courtesy Staples did offer, before returning my computer, was deleting all my files. After my experience with them, I felt it was best if I didn't go back there to try and retrieve the information. read more

a pretty standard staples. what differentiates this staples from others is the cashier who tried to bamboozle me of my 8$ rebate. basically, he told me that i needed a staples rewards membership (free) to qualify for the rebate, and proceeded to hand me a membership form, which i was instructed to fill out at home if i wanted the rebate. why not there? why not then? but there was a line, so i took it and left... sitting in my car, it became apparent to me that i had already qualified for the rebate. i saw the words "rebate receipt" on my receipt. huh, ok... so i walked back in the store to figure out what the hell had happened, and was immediately met with an apology, my rebate forms, and my original receipt before i could get in a word. it was at that point that we both knew what had just gone down. I have never in my life dealt with such poor customer service! The computer tech department have no idea how to diagnose computer issues. I brought in my computer and got it back a week later and it only lasted a few days before shutting down again. Their fix for this mistake was to gauge me again and ask for an additional few hundred dollars to try and fix another possible problem. Stay far away from this store unless you want to aggravate yourself and waste your money! read more

Awful. I sent out a package for overnight delivery to my son, but it never got there. UPS said to call Staples because they never received it. Sure enough, it sat there and never went out. So I told them that even though it was now a day late, all I cared about was that my son get it the next day. I called them back that same day just to make sure it hadn't been left behind again and was told it went out but wouldn't arrive until Monday (after the weekend)! They should have rectified their own error by making sure next-day delivery was guaranteed even if it was on a Saturday, or at the very least, called me! Call me! this store is PATHETIC, in particular, their so called TECHNOLOGY department. I purchased a new computer, which did not end up working, so it was exchanged for another one (an HP Pavillion). I also purchased a 2 year warranty. I was told told that "ANYTHING that happens to the computer, bring it back and WE will fix it". Well, guess what? They are liars! I took my computer back after nothing came up on my screen and was told after several days of diagnostic testing, that I need a new hard drive. On a new computer????? ok, so I ask WHY? They could not tell me! After pressing them on this, they THEN told me that I (not them, as I was told) would have to contact the warranty company (SquareTrade) and take it up with them!!!!!! SO, the so called "Bring it back and WE will take care of it" was a flat out lie. FOLKS, do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT BUY ANY TECHNOLOGY RELATED PRODUCTS from this store. they are HORRIBLE. I also called the manager of the store who then told me, "If you don't like our service, go to another store". Trust me, I did!!!! read more

If it were for the fact that that have lousy customer service they wouldn't have any customer service. I recently brought my computer in for repairs. Not the first time but absolutely will be my last. I called 5 days in a row..was on hold for over 15 minutes each time.. the 5th day I waited for 25 minutes on hold..It was quicker to drive there. When I got there there was no tech at the area. I had to get someone called over.. when I told them about the long wait on the phone he offered a terse and insincere sorry, and said they are understaffed..really?..I couldn't tell. No one seems to care but worse, no one seems to know what they are doing their..within a 24 hour period I was told I needed a new motherboard and a new hard drive..only to be later told all are ok and it is some sort of windows corruption..take your computer elsewhere..and your business..they won't even notice if you do. read more
