We were grieving while trying to plan my mother-in-law's services, and she truly made the process a little easier for us. From the start, she was incredibly patient and kind. We ran into issues with the prints coming out blurry, but she never brushed it off or made us feel like we had to settle. Instead, she went out of her way to test different printers and troubleshoot until we got the quality we needed. I also sent multiple revisions, and she handled each one with so much patience and understanding. What stood out the most was her empathy. She offered her condolences and spoke to us with genuine care, which meant more than she probably realizes during such an emotional time. Front salesman seem rude when I asked was Party City is taking over the store. He abruptly answered "why are you saying that." His response sent bad vibes. I proceeded to shop, and added large items in basket along with a floor mat. By this time he was no longer on the cashier, but stocking shelves. I was having difficulty as I walked to the front, and he looked the other way and never offered to help. To make matters worse, I needed help to take my things to the car, and the cashier never asked if helped was needed. Now, this is why thar I need to return to Amazon. Customer service is critical. I dropped off an Amazon return 15 min before closing time when I went home, i realized that my item didn't process. I woke up early to go in as soon as they opened to see if they could find it as it was one of the last drop-offs. When I asked a lady employee, she called her manager. Her manager came out and was so rude to me from the start using a loud voice, said, "Do you want me to go through those boxes? With attitude, looked at me so annoyed. He said, "Just call Amazon, I said I was here the last 15 minutes; maybe you can easily find it." He said again, "Look at all those boxes. Do you really want me to go through them and find your item?" The attitude and raising the voice was so unnecessary, especially in front of my baby. Just be kind, no need for attitude. My local Staples is okay. Pretty average overall, but the shipping department really needs improvement. I'm always waiting at least 10 to 15 minutes just to get help. The person working the printing area is usually busy or off doing something else, and it's clear they just don't have enough staff in the shipping department. I get that it can get busy, but they should be prepared for when things pick up, not just let customers stand around wasting time. It's not just me, I've seen plenty of other people waiting too. On top of that, the printers are almost always being used by people who clearly need help, but there's rarely anyone around to guide them. The workers should really be more present to help those customers, which would also speed things up for everyone else. Honestly, a quick 10 minute stop here always turns into 30 to 35 minutes minimum. The store is reliable, but the experience is tedious and frustrating. Horrible. The place is like a Ghost Town. There's no staff there was literally one older Caucasian man working and he had an attitude on his face because so many people were coming in with Amazon returns and the line was long. There was three people in front of me and they were returning multiple things so that took a while and finally by the time we got to me, he just, walked away and stayed gone. Some younger guy had to come and do my return. I don't wanna pull the racial card up but why when he gets to me and you know I've been waiting there, you just leave. He did quick stops in between but it was to ring other people out or take passport photos, mind you I was only third in line when I got to the store and literally stayed in there for about 20 minutes. Let me first just start off by saying that I had very low expectations. I mean super low, low expectations. I usually get my office supplies from Target, however my ink cartridge that I use has been nowhere to be found at any Target for some time now. I don't know what's going on with that... but I needed to print something and lo and behold, Staples to the rescue. When I first walked in, it felt like I was the only one in the entire store; it was so quiet (no music, no people, etc.) As I walked further in, I noticed an employee and asked her where I can find ink cartridges. She was beyond sweet! Not only did she show me where I can locate them, but she asked if I needed help looking for a specific one for my printer. I know this sounds silly to be grateful for someone doing essentially their job, BUT you'd be surprised at how many people just don't care and/ or just plain rude. I found my ink cartridge that I needed. Yay. The cashier was also very nice. Overall, I had a great experience here. I have no complaints, not even about the price because I needed ink for my printer and I'm grateful that they had it here! : ) read more

It is very obvious that customer service is not a priority here. The lady at the copy center is not so bad but the guys that i've dealt with in the pass were horrible. there was one time i came in before five to get some same day service and was told i couldn't get same day service but a woman of different color was giving same day service. after i complained then i received same day service. when i came back to receive my cards i was so upset i just left. the cards were done horribly. my schedule is always full so it took time for me to come back. so today i came back to try them again hoping things would be different. well they lady who's working the copy center is not bad but i find it weird that they're always backed up but the copiers are never running. anyways i called for the manager (Sean) to show him the cards and how they were messed up but he is no way trying to help me at all. I came here to try and exchange the laptop cover I was given as a christmas present. My aunt said that there had been lots of options when she bought it so I assumed there would be a good selection when I went into this store. There was not. There were maybe 10 bags on a top shelf so out of the way I had to ask someone to find them. Half of the options were over $50 and all of them were black or brown. No fun colors at all. Not even the backpacks they sold were fun colors. I then asked another staff member if those were the only options or what else I could do and she directed me to this giant computer basically telling me that I can order one from their site and have it delivered, which would mean that I would have to return the item and repurchase it online. She had a really hard time explaining this to me. I don't know if it was me not understand it or she having an issue with getting her message across but it really sat wrong and I ended up just leaving the store and keeping my bag because it was too much effort to exchange it the way they wanted me to. read more

Called in to ask a simple question about printing, followed the prompts on the phone. Pressed the option for the printing center, got ahold of some within 30 seconds and asked if I need to bring in a USB or how does it work to get things printed and she said she wasn't sure and she'll transfer me to printing. Stayed on hold for 20 minutes while I kept getting transferred back to the area with no one there. After a couple rings while on hold I would hear it get transferred back to the original person who picked up but instead of telling me call back later or something she didn't say anything and would quickly transfer me back.... to a department with no one in there. Had a terrible encounter with an employee named Mando. I found him inconsiderate and rude. The lack of professionalism in astounding. What's surprising is his terrible service is a stark contrast to what I experienced days earlier at the same store. Alaura was informative, helpful and solved a problem I needed her help to fix. I am 40 years old and I've experienced customer service everywhere, even out of the country, but yesterday was probably the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life at this Staples. I went in on February 20th looking for a floor heater for an office or small room. I asked one employee who was on the floor if they had them. He looked at me dumbfounded and said he didn't know. I then ask, "can you find out?". He then used his walkie talkie gadget and contacted someone who stated that they were on aisle 5 or 6. First fail is that he didn't walk me to the item. He initially stated he didn't know if they had them or not, you would think he would walk me to the item to also educate himself, but he didn't. I walk to aisle 5 and 6 and I didn't see any floor heaters at all. I then walked to the cashier and said "excused me".... As I stood they for 12 seconds waiting on him to finished sending his text or Facebook post he didn't look up and said "yea". At this point my blood pressure is boiling at 500 degrees and I want to slap the phone out of his hands. First off, you're a cashier and being on the phone and handling money is so wrong on so many levels! He finally looked up at me and said "Oh your looking for the heater, yea they are on aisle 5 and 6". I said, " No, I didn't see them so can someone walk me to the item?". He said, "well they are over there" .....WTF....I swear I was talking to an idiot at this point! I ask to see a manager and he almost tried to fight my request by saying that the heaters were over there again, but finally called the manager out. This night manager I am assuming came out the back with his pants sagging and shirt untucked....WTH, he looked so unprofessional. He walked behind the counter and said "Yea can I help you?" I said I was looking for the floor heaters and I was told that you all have them. He then repeated that they were on aisle 5 and 6, but still failed to walk me to the item. I had to ask him and he told me to wait. Again, I am so upset at this point I started to shake and sweat....he then walked from behind the counter and literally walked away....at this point I had to scream and ask him am I suppose to follow you and he said "Yea"....Oh my goodness!!!! I can't really believe the customer service here....So we get to the aisle 5 and 6 and he looks all around and said, "Oh we moved a lot of stuff around so you probably should look in the clearance", and walked away from me like I was a dog. Again, he failed to walk me to the clearance area. So at this point I ask for his name and he said Bryan. I told him thank you and that I would be sending a letter to his corporate office. He didn't seem to care and told me to have a good night. Amazon and online store will continue to have my business....the customer service at some of these stores baffles me. UPDATE: I called the store and ended up speaking with Lorendia (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) who is the GM. I only called the store to make sure Bryan name was real because I didn't trust him. I told her about my experience last night with the cashier who sends text messages and Bryan unprofessionalism. She listened to me without interrupting and apologize for her employees' behavior. She was VERY sincere and carried about how upset I was. Speaking with her stop my letter to corporate and BBB, but my complaint will remain her on Yelp. I did explain no one needs to lose their jobs, but they should be retrained for sure or find another place to work. read more

I went in to make more than 250 copies of a document. I was greeted immediately and directed to the copy machines, for faster service. My copies were almost done when the copier ran out of paper. Before I could turn around, an associate was walking towards me with paper in hand. She filled the copier with paper and my order was able to be completed with minimal interruption. read more
