I love the pricing and being able to get the glasses after the eye exam the same day. Unfortunately I would have to be honest and say this placed is unorganized & dysfunctional as far as the staff. I had an appointment and talked to a man at the front desk who told me to find the glasses but was not informed to check in with receptionist in the back after finding the glasses. I dislike giving poor reviews but here it goes. The biggest issue with this Stanton Optical in Stuart could be solved by hiring a part time high school student or a senior citizen (since this is Fl.) I went to Stanton to have my Rx filled for new glasses with a prism. This is a more difficult Rx to fill and I was going on vacation in a month. The staff assured me that I would have my glasses in time. I stopped in the store two weeks later ( just to check) and was told that my glasses were In quality control and then would be shipped out. I figured two days in quality control and two days shipping. Great I will have the. In time for my vacation. One week slater, I call the company to see where my glasses were. The person who ans first to,d me I Had no Rx. Requested he recheck, telling him when I ordered them and that they were in Quality Control a week ago. He then gives me a date 3 weeks away. I told him that was unsatisfactory. He transferred me to the store who told me my glasses were not ready and I could have a refund or a free pair of glasses. No idea when they would be ready. I told them this was unacceptable, I had told them the date that I needed them by and if this was not going to happen I needed to know. If they had told me when they. Failed quality control, I still had time to go to another store. My fault when I was leaving the store the first time, I was stopped my a man coming out of the store, he told me he overheard my discussion. He had been waiting 3 months for his glasses which he said were not an u usual Rx. And still did not have them. He was canceling his order. Should have listen and cancelled my order. The issue with this store is none communication. With the customer. A part time person, student or senior citizen could keep track of orders and keep the customer informed. Of course another issue is that every store is now sending their glasses out to places out of area. if They kept the customer informed it would not be such an issue. Ok. So I went in and the $150 for 2 pairs was a joke! First, my eye-exam was done via Skype or some media. No actual examiner was present. Then, my bi-focal lenses and frames were $750 for two pairs. That included a warranty. That's a joke. I brought both pairs back after 4 months with scratches and the tint peeling off. Turns out warranty on defects covers 80%. So $140 out of pocket to repair THIER defects. Never again!!!!!! Avoid at all cost. If you call you get their operator's in another country who barely speak English. read more

1st off the staff is friendly but are desperate for more help. This place gives a discount. Make sure you understand which glasses these are. With that said, I am not sure the discount is worth it here. The store when we visited has no management. You will have a virtual doctor (which we knew) however when the virtual doctor refuses to apply the correct reading magnification to a prescription the office will say come back for an in person doctor appointment. Or we have to reject the glasses once they are ready so they can re-do the order like requested the first time. Ok if you are not frustrated yet, the store only has one person processing glasses & purchases so after you go through an hour appointment, you will wait another hour for that one person to ring you up while all other staff members stay behind other desks or windows doing nothing. Went there, since this place was close to home, decided to make an appointment online and by the time I got there my appointment was already cancelled and guess who cancelled "corporate" ? Okay I am sure they gave you a reason but there isn't one ? People working for there don't like being in there, when I tried asking reason for cancellation one of the employee named Magie, started yelling and cussing at me, what happened to basic customer service skills ? WORST. PLACE. EVER. I came here in July with an appointment and had to bring my 2 small children with me. Even with an appointment, I waited for 2 hours. By the time I got into the room to see the "doctor" my baby was losing his mind and I could barely hear/get through the exam. Not surprisingly at all, my prescription was way off. But I was so desperate to get out of there and was not going to leave empty handed so I took the contacts and ordered a pack. I came back yesterday JUST to re order contacts. Mind you, I was one of only 2 people waiting at the time. I was there for over an hour. The lobby was filling up with people waiting at the front desk and not one of them had been greeted. They all looked confused. They were wandering all over the store looking for someone to help them and nobody would even acknowledge them. There was one lady in particular wearing a ton of makeup and heeled boots that was walking around like she owned the place and looking annoyed by everyone's existence. My 18month old was standing in the doorway and she squeezed by him and seemed annoyed he was there. Overall, horrible experience. I did not feel welcome, especially with my kids. I just want my prescription and they are making it difficult. I called and the guy said he'll help me with it. After answering questions for a while he said I had to go in to get it. They don't have an email to use so they make you call. They want you not to be able to shop around, so they force you to go in. They were alright before this. It's not the 80s, they can email me the prescription if they wanted to. Or the guy on the phone could have gave it to me. read more

Hands down the worst customer service. First time coming here last year customers, including myself, were waiting and waiting not only to pick up glasses but waiting to even buy glasses. No explanation to customer like, " We will be right with you; so sorry we are understaffed today!" However my second time coming was even worse! Made an appointment for granddaughter and myself thru the call center at least 4 days in advance. I get to my appointment 20-30 minutes early to find glasses that I like; we have our rx's from a real eye doctor not the tv screen. There are 3 people at the front desk, all clueless. Gave them my insurance info and spouses info b/c he is primary and they could not find anything. I told them that insurance is the same from last visit, they can't figure out the new system. Decided to take back my written rx and go elsewhere. Went to a different place, they pulled up my insurance and got my glasses! What they need is someone with experience instead of hiring young unprofessionals. My family will not be going back. Poor service!! No apologies! Better training works wonders. My Wife went in there today for her two glasses order that was supposed to be ready for pick up after two weeks. One of the pair was ready and the other they had no clue where it was one employee said one thing the other said it wasn't even shipped yet. And then one of the employees was looking in each alphabet bin and still nothing. Then they 15-20 minutes they'll be ready and we came back and they still weren't ready and they said that the lady there was working on them then it got lost again while waiting then they got it but when she tried the glasses on they prescription was different no way they found her pair after losing magically in 15 minting that takes two weeks? They said they were the same prescription but they look different two weeks work as 20 minutes and the pair that they lost is blurry in the left eye and they told her to wear them for two days and then come back??? So she is supposed to strain her eyes for two days then have you fix it again????? read more

I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam for glasses, at 1:30 pm on September 29, 2023. Staff were rude and inconsiderate. After signing in, I was told to take a seat. an hour later, I discovered all staff had left the store, except for one sales person. She laughed at me when I asked what happened to the staff. I never received an exam, which was advertised as free, but was actually going to bill to my insurance. Turns out I may have dodged a bullet. Take a look at the California Board of Optometry Services and check out when Stanton Optical #5 was last actually licensed and look at the citations with fines since 2019 for false and deceptive advertising and unlicensed practice. Then was helped finding my frames by Prissilla she was very helpful and able to make this appointment for me less stressful and helped me find two pairs of frames that I loved. My recently turned adult son was recently talking about how he might need glasses as he felt his eyesight was getting worse. Not knowing how to go about finding an optometrist, we went for a brand that we recognized that had advertised exams and glasses. We made an appointment 2 days in advance. Then on appointment we were greeted quickly. Intake was easy, and fast. The initial part of the eye exams revealed he was going to need glasses... But then his virtual appointment with the eye doctor was amazing! My son said that even though the visit was virtual the doctor could control the exam from where they were. Great deals on glasses (two for one deals), we ended up getting him two pair of very stylish glasses with transitions lenses for around $200 including an exam. They are doing safe practices with covid as well. The overall experience was positive and I'd recommend. My son is thankful and very impressed with his experience there. read more

This place has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I picked out frames, then waited 25 minutes for a salesperson to help with my order. After two minutes, she asked me to have a different person behind her to check if they accepted my insurance. This took a minute, but she decide to start helping another customer and make me wait. After 10 Minutes I left, never to return. If you go, good luck, I certainly won't be back!! One star is a gift! read more

BAIT AND SWITCH!! I would give 0 Stars if I could. Before setting an appointment I thoroughly questioned the office about the actual prices of their glasses and lenses, and the different deals they were offering with the "free eye exam." It was all just a scam. When you arrive, they immediately get you in for an eye test. This is done with a doctor on the screen (not there in person). Then after you have the prescription, and only then, will they give you prices on lenses and glasses - Everything is over twice what they promised on the phone, and I had discussed progressive lenses and various upgrades with them over the phone. The worst part is, if you want to leave because you were lied to, they tell you are obligated to pay for the eye exam! This is bullsh-- because they won't give you any pricing before the exam, and I tried, before the exam to get idea of what lenses I might need by showing them my old prescription and asking what lenses that previous would have required. They said they COULD NOT tell me what the lenses would cost on an older prescription, even though I wasn't asking them to make the glasses - just to give me and IDEA of the range I was in, and they said they would not do that, even as a ballpark quote. So they lie to get you into the store, but then once you are in the store, they won't tell you the true prices until you've done their virtual eye exam - which turns out not to be free if you don't then purchase glasses that they wouldn't tell you the price of, beforehand (except over the phone - where they unabashedly quote false prices). My prescriptions is completely wrong. After I ordered and picked up my glasses from Sylvan Eye, They understand that my prescription is wrong and fortunately, they are willing to provide me with new lenses. Now my battle begins as I'm trying to get a refund for my exam from Stanton Optical. They say it's there policy not to refund for exams. They won't give me a managers name. MISLEADING ADVERTISING. Please read if you care about your vision. This place is a joke. If you care about your vision, do not go here for an eye exam under any conditions ! The eye exams are a joke. I've had glasses since I was 2 ( born with a condition ) and have been going to an eye doctor at least yearly. I've seen a lot of eye doctors . After 18 years I found a great doctor that diagnosed me with a condition I've always had and when he listed the symptoms I was stunned ! Because things finally made sense. Your vision is precious. Only went here for my partner's exam because my doctor was booked 3 weeks out and so we needed a temporary quick fix while we waited for the other appointment. What I wasn't expecting is just how useless this is. Their eye exams are with a doctor you skype with. What a joke. They do not even scratch the surface of comprehensive. After visit to the real eye doctor turns out they didn't even diagnose him right and they did a horrible job with the lenses they gave him. To add to it , their advertising is completely misleading. FREE exam with 2 glasses ( varying pricing ) The exams cost 39$. I made sure to read their website carefully when I clicked on that promotion and nowhere did they say 39$. Red flag right there but I didn't really mind and went ahead. Which in hindsight I wish I hadn't. The staff is unprofessional and complete novices. A lot of people wearing lab coats but not a professional doctor in sight. All to further mislead people into thinking this place is legit. Why does a manager need a lab coat? I've had my glasses just under a year and I'm so disappointed in not only the quality but also with this business in general. This was my first pair of glasses ever, I'm 24, and the staff were very nice to me the day I got my exam and helped me pick out the best pair. I felt really welcomed that day and those staff are the only reason I gave 2 stars. However after a month I noticed that I was still struggling to see properly at night, so I called customer service, because I was told I had a two year warranty, to see if I could fix my prescription and after being transferred probably five times I was told that my warranty expired as it was only a month not two years. I was busy with school and such, but I ended up going in about a month and a half later because my lense fell out and I inquired about the warranty again and was told it was actually three months for adjustments but I would have to schedule a new exam and pay for a new prescription. I was still paying for the pair I bought so I declined. Lately I noticed my frames are wearing down on the arms and rims, and the inside film of my lenses are wearing down. My whole total was over 500, so it's sad to me that my glasses are already wearing out before I've had them even one year. read more

What a great experience with Stanton Optical! I had an exam in December of 2021 and then ordered both regular and sun glasses with Stanton. #1 their frame selection is phenomenal! So many choices and good selection to choose from. #2 the ease of scheduling the appointment was no problem. #3 the professionalism shown by their staff during the exam, glass selection process and pick up was top shelf! But what was most impressive was just now. The sunglasses had some protective film erosion in the lense. I did not have the lens warranty, but Aimee the manager and Andrew the sales manager was able to listen to me and my concerns and see the lens issues and make the right choice to get them replaced at a very satisfactory price. Aimee and Andrew were kind, responsive to the issue at hand and resolved the issue with integrity and pleasantry. You do not get customer service like this much anymore and I am pleased to recommend anyone to come to Stanton Optical for their eye health needs. Taken by the 2 for $79. Which doesn't really exist for most prescriptions. Doctors eye exam was done over a webex was hard to communicate with. I have been having problems seeing at certain distance with my new glasses. I went back for adjustment and was told my bifocal was off. However, to repair them I would have to pay for an exam all over again. It's not my fault they were not made correctly. The technician even said the person that help me is longer with the company because of poor work. My advise is... don't fall for ads and DON'T GO HERE FOR YOUR GLASSES OR EXAMS. read more

My boyfriend and I called around for tHe cost of an eye exam and this one was $45. Remember this detail for later. Check in was okay. The guy who did my eye exam was nice to me, but when he did my boyfriend he was very condescending because my boyfriend hadn't had an eye exam in a long time. The process with the optometrist was alright. However, checkout was horrible. The lady who checked us out tried to charge us $95 each!! Why would you say $45 on the phone but it's $95 here? She tried to blame it on the 1800 number but we called the 209 one. She ended up getting the manager and he was nice and tried to make things right but his staff just ruins the whole experience. I ended up getting sunglasses and the lady told me it would be done by the end of the evening and they'd give me a call. Guess who didn't get a call?? OH. The best part. My report said that I need to see a glaucoma specialist. I had to find that out from the paper. Nobody told me. When I brought it up to the checkout lady, she said it's caused by smoking and I mentioned I vaped. She said I should get another test done.
