Just wanted to update my review, after Jerald wing left and sold his practice to the new optometrist everything went downhill sorry to say.. The optometrist is very polite and knowledgeable and i highly recommend her services, BUT the people she hired to manage everything else, are very rude and unprofessional. Often times I call and no one answers. When I had to reschedule a eye appointment, I called, and left a voicemail and didn't get a callback, and I know they have a no-show fee, so I called again and again, and nobody answered so I left a email and finally they answered the call and said they're going to charge me a no-show fee. In that case I told them I left a voicemail and I even provided proof that I had sent an email regarding my appointment that I can't make. they then told me that they will on their behalf, not charge me a no-show fee, like they are doing me a favor, do not recommend them at all anymore. read more

We have this appointment to see Dr. Mann. She is very polite. I have nothing but nice things to say about her. Unfortunately this review isn't about all of the good things she does. This review is based upon one of the workers named Amy. She took my father back and she was exceptionally rude. We were at the part where he puts his forehead against the machine and he sees a black square, and you press a button when you see it flicker. So my father Doesn't speak much English. Although he understands, he gets confused sometimes and I was trying my best to translate as much as possible. And you can clearly tell that Amy was getting very frustrated and irritated. Her eyes were widening and she was doing all these hand motions. At one time my dad had to repeat the test and she took a huge sigh and said we have to repeat the test because he isn't doing it properly. I mean listen... if you are going to get that irritated and don't have the slightest amount of patience or compassion. You are in the wrong field. I honestly couldn't believe that she was being so rude like that In front of me. Knowing I'm his daughter. I'm sorry I had to give this place such a bad review because Dr. Jasmeet Mann is a wonderful doctor. She truly is. I highly recommended her and the other staff itself seemed polite as well. This is my first time at this office. I would have given this office high rating until one of their employees stopped me from leaving the lot and asked me if I know Jesus Christ. She told me that when she was helping me fit my glasses, god told her to reach out to me. Interestingly enough, my roommate also picked up his glasses about an hour prior to my visit and also was helped by the same employee but he was not approached. I can only assume that because I am Asian and that I need to be converted because my roommate is a caucasian, like the employee of this establishment. First off I would like to say that, Dr. Mann is one of the kindest, most polite and knowledgeable optometrists I've ever had. I have been coming to this office since I was a teenager in high school and thought it reasonable to continue as all of my patient records remain at this location. Now as an adult in charge of my health, I will look for eye care elsewhere. Although Dr. Mann is amazing it is not worth dealing with their rude and snobby staff. Every single one, from their phone receptionist, to the second receptionist who manages appointments, and their ocular specialists, all have never failed to be rude or disagreeable in their communication when providing service. I've dealt with dropped calls when setting appointments, failure to remind me of appointments, I've been threatened with never being able to set another appointment due to not showing up to an appointment, and they've made me wait 35 minutes past the time for an appointment I set and showed up early for. One if their assistants walks around with a blue lives matter water bottle. And although I can respect other people's viewpoints if you work in the public sector and especially in the medical field you should keep your political opinions to yourself and share them at a more appropriate time. You are in the business of providing eye care to a diverse group of individuals, it's not a good idea to walk around making them feel uncomfortable as you are about to touch one of the most vital organs of their body. Not only have I experienced this treatment first hand, I have noticed this discourteous service towards other patients as I've waited in the waiting area. Overall, if you can and your insurance allows it, find another location for your eye care. read more

I guess if you have medi cal you aren't entitled to your full prescription or to be treated like a person and everyone in the waiting room needs to know you have medi cal. I've never had an optometrist try and charge me for the pupillary distance ps they want $15 for it. I'm so disappointed I was treated like garbage, but then the manager I guess had a change of heart and gave it to me because we had ordered glasses here. You are entitled to your prescription they just don't want you to order glasses from anywhere else. read more

I happen to get a piece of shrapnel lodged into my Cornea from work (yes I was wearing Z87 PPE Glasses). I've had it for a few days thinking it was just a slight irritation. I then decided to contact Wing J Gerald, OD to see if they have any openings. They answered my questions and managed to fit me in that same day of initial contact. They were quite busy when I arrived, which is a good sign. After a brief wait, Dr. Hsu had seen the foreign object in my eye. What I thought was quite serious, she handled with grace and ease. Dr. Hsu was extremely informative and showed an unrivaled amount of effort into caring for my eye. I will be sure to contact this practice if I ever need anything else regarding my eye/vision. Ok here is the story... I came to this office bc its close to my house. anyway when i got there the staff was pretty nie, they did my exam and i ordered glasses. First the girl told me it would be 1 week to get them. After 2 weeks i hadnt heard from them so i called them the person that answered said that they had told me 3-4 weeks (unless i wanted to use the frame on display) of course not! anyway she said to allow 2 more weeks. After 2 weeks I called again to check status, she then told me the frames I had chosen were discontinued and i had to go in to choose different ones. I went back chose some different ones...I got those in about 1.5 weeks. I feel they should of contacted me way before all this time and they should of informed me of the situation. Besides they dotn have alot of name brand glasses and it was a waste of time. So yeah thats that....I preffer going to Costco optometry!!! read more

I have been going to the eye doctors since I was about 2 due to and eye injury. I have seen many doctors and the Doctors in this office have thoroughly impressed me, they are very sincere and always how true concern for my wellbeing. Very helpful and also realistic they don't push you for the extra dollar. As for their staff they have always been extremely helpful and very caring and always go above and beyond to help. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I have even had my 3 year old daughter who is now 5 see them and they were very gentle with her make her comfortable and took their time with her. If I could give this place zero stars, I would: My boyfriend was going to take an electrician union test and upon arriving, found out that he needed a color blind test. Dr. Wing was the earliest open optometrist in Ceres, so he went there. He asked if he could get just a color blind exam from the Dr, and Dr. Wing said he would have to give my boyfriend a full eye exam and that he didn't have the time to do it. He wouldn't give him a wait time to be seen and refused to just give a color blind test. This seems very unreasonable. My boyfriend drove down the street and got a color blind exam from Wal-Mart for 50 bucks. Not being from Ceres, I will never go here, but also because the Dr and staff are rude and unreliable. read more

I have been going here for years and love them. I would even drive out of town just to get my exams because I trust and have a lot of respect for Dr. Wing. Very friendly staff. I love going here because I feel like family. My glass have always come in on time. They are happy to do adjustments. The newly remolded office looks great they are able to have a bigger selection of frames. They are also very happy to write you a prescription for lenses if you find some else where you would like to get. read more

I brought my mom for an eye exam to this office. I was warmly greeted when we arrived. She received a very completed eye exam from the doctor. Then we went to the optical department to pick out glasses and the Optical Manager Ruth was knowlegeable and friendly. There was a big selection of frames to pick from. My mother got her glasses in a short period of time of 3 days. I will definitly refer family and friends to this office. read more

I took my husband for his regular eye visit here the Dr. that seen him was nice we ordered contacts like we always do. A couple weeks went by and I took him to see a surgeon like the eye Dr. Recommended the eye surgeon informed us that he had developed bumps in his eyes i forgot the medical term he used. I immediately got ahold of Dr. Wings office told them the issue and asked if we could change the contacts for glasses due to circumstances. They were rude and and just seemed bothered. They told me since it had been longer than a month they could not, but it had only been a couple days past a month on one contact the other contact we received late but they still refused. Then they had the nerve to tell me that they made no money off my husband's visit! We have good insurance everywhere we go we get accepted quickly! So my husband went down to the office to speak to them where they then told him they would offer him a discount on a pair of glasses to help. So he decided to order a pair, we recieved them a week later they were horrible the lens kept falling out it was bad! Ruth said he could stay with that pair meanwhile she ordered a new pair she recommended us get some upgrades to make the glasses look better and fit better so we did in total the glasses cost us about $300. Two weeks went by and we hadn't heard nothing I called Ruth she said they hadn't recieved anything yet that "quality" takes time and that if my husband wants "quality" he had to wait! Another week went by my husband went down to the office Ruth then told him they had recieved them when I called but she sent them back because the lens still kept falling out why didn't she tell me this on the phone when I had first called! Anyhow the glasses finally arrived later that week, Ruth kept claiming to my husband how much better they were that they were good quality and blah blah when he got home the lens once again kept falling out! At this point my husband was very upset he took the glasses back at which point Ruth said they would refund him but they could no longer see him there. We can no longer get treated there because they can't make him a good pair of glasses wow! Ruth's excuse was because my husband had a rare prescription! read more

It was just a waste of time and money for choosing to come to this office..The Doctor didn't give me the right prescription for my glasses. I couldn't see well with my new glasses. I went to the office to talk to the staff about the problem with my glasses..Two staff working there were being rude..The one I was talking to had an attitude. She didn't want to listen to what I was telling her...she expected me to wear the glasses and get use to it.. said I should be able to see better with them..But it was wrong..I'll tell you the story.. So I came to see Dr. Wing again for the exam for the second time..I got the new prescription and I brought it to Wall Mart with the glasses. They made my glasses again. Five days later I went to go get my glasses and tried them on..they were still not right..I was stressing out..The staff at Wall Mart said I would have to go back to see Dr. Wing again..I do not want to go back to that office again..I decide schedule an appointment to see the doctor at Wall Mart..The doctor really took her time with me...wanted to make sure I get the right prescription..She's awesome.. Wow... it was a difference from Dr. Wing and her prescription. Dr. Wing made the prescription a little too strong on my first visit on the right eye and then he made it a little too weak on the second visit..Now I feel a lot better..I'm going to get over this. I'm going to be able to see fine now..I never had problem with my glasses before.. read more
