After being treated so rudely by the office, I decide I would look elsewhere to order my glasses. Today, I learned that Dr Jelen's office staff had put an exclusive "hold" on my account stating I could only receive services at his office. The Clinician had to call VSP and verify my identity and remove the "hold" on my account! This is retaliation for asking for clarification and is unacceptable. I will find a new Optometrist.

I asked that they be replaced with the same prescription I already had for reading with no change to the distance. They asked me back to check the glasses, and did an eye exam. They then billed me outside of my insurance for that exam since I'd just had a covered exam from the first, incorrect pair. It ended up being a great experience and I was able to get my glasses the same day. Valerie was the associate who helped me out, and she did a wonderful job! She thoroughly explained everything made sure that I was taken care of. While I was shopping, the manager also made sure to ask if I need anything and answer any questions I had while I was selecting frames. I am very grateful for all the help that the staff gave me and the price was excellent, even without having vision insurance.
