I love this eye doctor... Dr. Rye is amazing and has been around for a very long time. He is very thorough and enjoys his patients. I cannot forget the amazing staff he has. Everybody was happy and really helpful showing excitement when looking for glasses for all. Also, the glasses came in super quick for my son. If u are looking for a great doctor... This is the place to go!

The doctor took their time, was extremely thorough, and explained everything with a level of knowledge that made me feel confident in my care. What stood out most was how kind and present they were throughout the entire appointment. The exam itself was very comprehensive, and it's clear they truly care about doing things properly rather than rushing patients through. I've had some really terrible eye exam experiences in town at the last three facilities, and after leaving a doctor I loved in West Hollywood, I hadn't been able to find someone of that caliber locally until now. This office actually exceeds that experience, which says a lot. They also took my insurance and CareCredit, which made the whole process even easier and more accessible. I'm so happy to have found this office and finally feel like I've found my eye doctor. Highly recommend.

Maybe a couple people at the most. It's hard when doctors overbook and you have so many folks waiting, but not here! Great selection of eyewear. I can always find glasses and sunglasses. I've often felt rushed during eye exams in the past, and my prescriptions never seemed quite right. Dr. Casagrande completely changed that--he took the time to thoroughly assess my vision and made sure everything was dialed in. My eyesight has never been clearer, and I truly appreciated how committed he was to getting it right. On the retail side, this is where they fall short. Neither of our glasses orders were completed anywhere near the promised timeline. My wife's glasses are on track to be almost two weeks past the promised delivery date. They send you a text saying you can check your order here and it never updates past accepted and for my wife her order couldn't be found. So their portal is useless. I'd recommend using the eye doctors here but avoiding the retail side altogether--they come across as unprofessional, and when orders are delayed, follow-up calls make you feel like an inconvenience. Expect long hold times if you call, and if they say they'll call you back, don't rely on it. This was my first experience here. I don't know if I will return as I don't know if I want to deal with using a separate retail outlet to order my glasses.

Signature Optometry took on Dr. Smith's patients. Everyone in my family needs/wears glasses and contacts, and I've now gone through each family member's visits for the year so I feel ok to leave a review now haha Before I get into it, I want to mention that prices for services and glasses at this office are fantastic. They offer custom made frames - for a lot more but if you struggle being satisfied with the look of your glasses, this is a wonderful option. First, this office is in one of those small professional office complexes on Palm across the street from Bullard High School (consider the horrible traffic in and near the school in the early morning and 3:00ish when making appointments). Not an old building but not one of the new modern complexes that all the medical offices are flocking too (which in my mind, has to translate to higher service fees). What matters to me is the equipment and expertise of the practice. Dr. Fisher hits both of these, and records are in the computer not paper files like Dr. Smith, bless his heart. It reminded me more of a Kaiser visit, which is a positive for me. I liked his explanation of astigmatism to my youngest girl (we all have it, hers is the worst). I can't help but compare this practice to our old doctor, sorry. When you first come to this office, they ask for your medical information, a copy of your I.d. and they take your blood pressure. These annoyed me and feel overly cautious, but I understood their reasoning and they aren't militant about it. I also don't care for the dr aide doing the first part of the exam. I've worn glasses for over 40 years and am used to the optometrist doing the entire exam. But that didn't end up being too big a deal either because she did the minor stuff. (I noticed there was a different tech after our first or second visit; hope that isn't an indication of high staff turnover.) Each of us has been happy with our new glasses and contacts. It's taking some getting used to new personalities and differences in care at this office, but with each visit, the staff has been great. Though I really miss Kamren and his care, the tech at this office that helps with frame fittings is also really great. I'm so bad with names but the other gentleman that assists with processing sales/orders is also really great. I think there are two women who handle appointments and that is taking some getting used to but they are nice and try to be helpful. I'm confident we are going to have fine care here - super hope so because I hate finding a good optometrist for my favorite purchase of the year haha

But what they do is make you pick up your prescription at the place that sells the eyeglasses. When I went in there, they were going to charge me $15 to tighten my sunglasses. Even after all the money I spent... They still felt that necessary to charge me $15 so I didn't do it. I decided I would rather give that money to a different company since I felt that it was very petty, considering how much money has been spent at The Eye Institute over the years. That being said, I went to have these tightened. They popped out the lenses, tightened the stems, cleaned the lenses, and then even tightened the screws on my glasses. When I reached for my wallet, I was told that it wouldn't cost me anything. I explained I had every intention of paying and wanted to at least give the technician some money, but he refused. THIS is what good customer service looks like. The fact that they were willing to do this makes me realize that I need to be changing eye doctors. I was very impressed with their customer service.

My daughter is 5 and was recommended to have a full eye exam by her school. All other optometrist either 1. Didn't exam children under 6 (including target, Stanton etc) 2. Never heard of my insurance before and didn't bother to find out more or 3. Had a 5+ month appointment due to only seeing children 1x a week. I called them up and they said as long as my child knew her ABC's and 123's she'd be okay. I went in and the staff were friendly, helpful and incredibly patient. They ended preforming an eye exam with shapes easier for my daughter to identify. The Dr was so incredibly patient with my child who got nervous and cried/screamed because she required the eye drops. The Dr was so professional and took her time for my child to get comfortable. The techs and staff using the machine to look into her eyes were also incredibly patient (my kiddo can't keep her head still to save her life). And to top it off the front desk called my insurance directly to get confirmation of my coverage and everything else they needed so I wouldn't have to worry about sending in a reimbursement and paying 400+ out of pocket. The glasses were a bit pricy but I added all the bells and whistles (that was on me) and I still think the service and product are worth it. Also the kid selection had a wide variety! My daughter got the glasses she loved! Edited my kiddo for privacy

The only positives are that I was glad they got her in within the week to see if her retina was detached and my grandma and I had a good experience with Dr Ni. The building is really big. We walked into the lower floor and there are many spots to try on glasses. We didn't see a clear reception area or signs pointing to check-in. We walked through this try-on area/lobby to a counter against the back wall. I approached the woman who was talking to another employee who was leaned over the counter. I asked if she could help us find the check-in and I mentioned that I wasn't sure we were in the right place. She said "Do you have the address?" I replied I did have the matching address but as the building was big, I wasn't sure if I was in the correct spot. She said she was going to "send" me to the next room. We went into the next room and there was another counter, with no one facing the door we can in through. I put my grandma's ID into the check-in kiosk. It said to see someone at the counter. I went around to the other side of the L shaped counter were 2 people worked on computers, not looking up. I asked if we were checked in. They said I needed to go to the 4th floor. (I'm still not sure if we could have just started there. I had ushered my grandma around a bit at this point). On the 4th floor, there were 3 people at the counter. Not very welcoming or acknowledging. During her exam, my grandma mostly saw one assistant until he left and another assistant came in. She was smacking gum loudly and asking if my grandma was already given drops to dilate her eye. I had seen the previous assistant give drops but I wasn't sure for what purpose. I pointed to the drops on the counter and she looked confused and went to ask. When we checked out, the scheduling desk debated back and forth as to if the follow up was 3 month or 5 month. They finally went to ask. 3 months. They said to come back in January. I said it couldn't be January and 3 months. It is April. The scheduler was pretty confident and kept referring to her screen. She brought another scheduler over. They both told me January while looking at the screen. I said July would be 3 months after April. They both caught the error then and rescheduled my grandma to July. I'm hoping to take her to my OD, Dr Kebo, in Sanger. Drs Kebo are both wonderful and professional. I'm so glad my grandma didn't attempt to go to this appointment on her own. This office is unprofessional and unorganized.
