What an amazing experience I just had with Dr Margie Recalde and her staff. I haven't been to the eye dr in probably 3+ years having just been disgusted with my prior experiences with a prior eye place with a Q in it. :/ I called and got their voice mail and hung up after listening. I immediately received a text message which was nice but I was already on the website and setting my appointment. Easy peasy for sure! I was actually able to get an appointment the following day which shocked me. Once I arrived I was very impressed that her front of office staff also takes care of you for part of your eye exam. Talk about cross training! Honestly, it made me feel very cared for, not just passed along to the next person. I had more things done to check my eyes by the gentleman, who's name I sadly don't remember, and by Dr Recalde than I had ever previously experienced. My time spent with Dr Regalde was not rushed, she took her time and explained things too me. I kept asking is this something new to eye exams during my exam, and she'd say no, it's something that has always been done in a thorough eye exam. I drove from Visalia to Fresno to pick up my glasses that were covered under warranty. I called the office and told him hey my dog treat my glasses. Are they covered under warranty? She said yes that's fine. It's just a $60 payments. I'm like OK let's do it. I used to work blocks from this office, but I moved closer home. I didn't have time to come to Fresno because they're only open Monday through Friday so I took some time off work to come pick up my glasses since I need them I come here and they tell me that I have to pay an additional $139 per glasses because the representative I spoke to gave me the wrong information. Angela, listened to my story,I told her my wife is going through cancer treatments and I really needed the money for her and she didn't seem to care and couldn't do anything else. Horrible Service never coming back again and I recommend nobody else come. read more

This office is HORRIBLE! The staff are rude & Dr Ricalde shouldn't even have a license to practice. Dr Ricalde must be "paid off" my corporate eye companies. She only prescribed $700 name brand eye drops, when I asked for cheaper price solution, she prescribed $500 generic drops. I told them that's ridiculous & they told me to get better insurance. It took me 3 weeks to finally get drops I could afford (that didn't work). Dr Ricalde said the only other option is an expensive surgery for $3,000! They cancelled me because I complained too much about only expensive options. I switched Dr's and found a much cheaper solution using the plugs that worked immediately & much cheaper. NEVER COME TO THIS RUDE OFFICE! read more

When Dr. Recalde left EyeQ I decided to use Lifetime where she was at. She is great, that's why there is two star. On the other hand their frames are terrible. I had problems with them on two separate frames. The first frame, I had a problem with the hinge. I had and eye appointment so I bought them with me, ask one of the employees there if they could check it. She gave it back in worst shape, I said to her if you cannot fix it don't. I took it to the Frame Doctor, cost me $45 to fix it. One year later in for and eye appointment, I decided to purchase my new eye glass frame from them. I pick out Morels, very expensive, I'm told they have a lifetime warranty. I receive them have to have them re-adjusted. I also tell her one of the lenses is loose. I try and where them the lense continues to fall out. Now mind you I my have wore these a dozen times. I wear them again, the right side arm comes off, the little clip that holds it on is broken. I take it back, only to be told the warranty has expired and it would be $75 to fix it. Now again I my have wore these at this point two dozen times because the lense would still fall out. That was it, I picked up my glass, took them over to Frame Doctor. They said the clips are defective, they have seen this before. To fix and adjust the lense cost me $120, on a very expensive frame. I learned something, if they say lifetime, make sure it is in writing and keep the paperwork. read more

I am a patient of Dr. Margarette Ricaldi at Lifetime Optometric. She is an excellent optometrist. Her office is located at the Atrium in Fresno, CA. She is meticulous and her staff is very professional. The office is very well appointed. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and concern of the staff related to the Covid 19 precautions. All staff wear masks. All chairs or places patients sit or touch are cleaned immediately. There is hand sanitizer easily available to everyone. I felt very safe here. I commented to Dr. Ricaldi that her office definitely was implementing safe practices. This is so important during this pandemic. read more

This place is great. The front desk staff are very friendly and answer all of my questions. I have gone to see Dr. Recalde multiple times specifically for dry eye and she is one of the first providers who has ever listened to my concerns. Other doctors have just said "your dry eyes look better" and end the visit in 5 minutes. But she spent sometimes 30 minutes with me discussing every little thing I could do to get my eyes better. Very positive experience at Lifetime Optometric. In addition to the great existing Doctors, Hayashi & Hamamoto, Dr. Margie Recalde is now part of this fantastic team. We have been to multiple eye clinics and groups but the detailed attention to you as an individual has always been lacking. My husband and I both had thorough exams and results were explained in language we could understand. Additionally they use a speciality vision exam called the "Optomap Retinal Exam." It was able to get early detection on an eye bleed on him and by the end of the day our Primary Doctor had received the report and scheduled an office visit immediately the following day. Thankfully with such personal concern his medication was changed to abort any further damage. Also a shout out to the caring office staff! I called the day before to see if they had any availability. Lucky they had a cancelation and was able to get me in. Receptionist was nice and friendly when booking. Upon arrival, they again were so nice friendly and welcoming. While waiting for the doctor, I was able to shop for glasses and the technician who was helping me was fantastic. Picked out a pair and got them fitted prior to seeing the doctor so it make the process quicker. Dr. Hamamoto was great. I have been seeing Dr. Hamamoto for the past 5 or so years and plan on continuing. I worked in the same building when I started going to Lifetime Optometric. I hadn't even set my very first appointment yet and they were already willing to help fix my glasses at no charge on their own time. That's when I decided this would be my new eye doctor. She is always so sweet and personable. I was just seen on Monday and she explained everything she was doing as she was doing it which was really neat. The office staff is always great! So helpful with any questions or concerns and willing to work with appointment times. I ordered contacts and was told it would be a week before I got them and by mid day the next day they were already there in the office for me. Before I even left the office I was recommending Dr. Hamamoto to family that normally sees other doctors and they plan on seeing her soon.
