I recommend the breakfast quesadilla and the skillits. Only complaint is that our server wasn't very helpful, got my order wrong, and never checked up on us or even brought condiments. Both the service and the food (huevos rancheros and sausage/egg plate) were great, and the price was acceptable. Rowdy was an amazing server. Good food and despite being super busy he was very attentive and payed attention to our needs. He brought out our food as fast as possible given that we told him we were in a rush. Being a server I could tell how busy he was and I really appreciated how well he attended to all of his tables. I haven't eaten at the Maple in a long time. I decided to stop by and was I pleasantly surprised!!! I ordered the apple walnut salad and added bacon to it. It's the best salad in Ukiah ... bar none! Everything was so fresh and fabulous. The dressing was perfect. I'll be back for this gem!!! On top of this, they serve Black Oak Coffee!!! A double bonus there! And the service was fantastic. Came in for breakfast a few times it has always been hit and miss. Today it was not busy maybe 4 other tables other than us and a few more came and left while we were there. Service was good waitress was friendly and checked on us often. Ordered our food and it came some time later. Seemed a little longer than normal but not by long. Also came out fragmented. There were 3 of us and 2 of us had our meals served before the other person in our party. He ordered oatmeal and it came out last and a bit longer after us. The meal was good. I had the State Street Skillet It was flavorful but really greasy. It came with one piece of toast sliced in half. Usually toast is 2 slices sliced in half this was only served with 1. It was wheat toast but more like a multi grain very thin slices. The other people in our party had oatmeal which was from what they said good but could have been warmer and the other person in our party had the chicken fried steak and again good but he did not finish it. Breakfast for the 3 of us was $45 and all we can say is it was good. Nothing more than that. Would I come here again yes but it's not someplace I have to go or a must stop for me. read more

OK so hands down best breakfast in Ukiah. I am embarrassed to say this but but I had never been. It was soooooo good. The biscuits and gravy are perfection. The waffles amazing well everything was. Heading home at 7am after 600 miles of motorcycle riding there is one thing that is important: It's breakfast. Stopped here as planned. Ukiah is always a cross between hippy and loggers, and this place gave the vibe of both in harmony. Friendly greeting upon entering, and the young man was helpful in pointing out specials and said everything here is delicious. Looking at their menu I saw their House Specials had Corned Beef Hash with green chile sauce. The ham steak was beckoning, too. So the CBH with poached eggs was on my radar. It did not disappoint. Eggs perfectly poached and whole, along with the corned beef in chunks beneath on a bed of home fried potatoes and topped with a decent portion of green chile sauce. Maybe not like New Mexico chile sauce, but homemade and tasty. Nothing greasy, overly salty or too much of any one thing. A nice balance of flavor and texture. Happy belly. Coffee was fresh if not a little too diner/cafe style, but it was flowing and my cup never saw empty. Service was friendly, attentive and not a nuisance. My bandmates and I stopped into this place for breakfast and we were greeted at the door with smiles. Excellent service from beginning to end even though they were slammed with customers. We have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the breakfast! The service is generally excellent and the owner (?) is always there checking how your meal is. Father's Day was understandably busy but we came early (715) so were seated and served quickly. Only got one cup of coffee though and felt rushed to get out to make room for customers waiting. After a long weekend of visiting Ukiah for racing, we wanted a good breakfast before heading home. We found Stan's on Yelp and as always, we agree that Stan's earns their ratings!! Quaint breakfast joint. We were driving up to Oregon and stumbled across it. We had basic breakfasts...eggs over easy, hash browns and sausage, but the hash was nice and crispy and the eggs were cooked well. The coffee woke me up and the server was very friendly. Meh. It'll do. We found little else around, but service was a little slow (they were busy) and the food was kind of bland. I had French toast and poached eggs with sausages; my man had pancakes and eggs. Toast was bland and came without syrup, eggs were undercooked (I like them very easy, but the whites weren't cooked). Sausage links were good. My man's pancakes were a little chewy but okay. I'm not a fan of them putting down the check jacket and opening it up so your bill is visible to the neighbors. When they bring it back with the card, they do it again - I think it's a signaling system to the other staff that probably works well, but it did not win them points. I'd go here if there was nothing else around. Went to Starbucks on the way out of town to get coffee. I gave up on this coffee after two sips, though I usually can't taste the difference between good and bad coffee. Good points: fairly clean and friendly. read more

It is exactly what they say it will be: a diner that serves good food at a reasonable price with attentive wait staff. It's been there since 1922. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I grew up in Ukiah and this was our go to place (especially after a night of one too many), and I am so happy to see it still thriving. The New Mexican items on the menu appear to be new arrivals, but are so good and add some variety to the usual diner fare, all of which is delicious as well. Last time I was in town I eat there 3 mornings in a 4 day trip, and note, there are many other good breakfast spots. I just couldn't get enough! I had a traditional eggs and bacon breakfast day 1 (never had anything so tasty after driving all night), sweet potato pancakes days 2 and a new Mexican eggs/potatoes/green chili/sopapilla dish on day 3. Note: they serve NEW MEXICAN food, not MEXICAN food. For those of us who crave green chili and cannot find it many places, this was my heaven. My mouth water's just thinking about it. They are fast, reasonably priced, right downtown, can accommodate groups, and have an incredibly nice wait staff. Add the "small town charm" and ample opportunities to people watch, The Maple has my heart. read more

Great service but mediocre breakfast food. The atmosphere is a bit old school like I was eating breakfast in someone's basement. The servers are all very friendly and amazing at keeping your coffee mug full! Considering the limited breakfast options in Ukiah the Maple Restaurant is probably your best bet. They have a big selection of savory (omelets, scrambles) and sweet (french toast, pancakces) on their menu. I would recommend one of their omelets! read more

If you are in a hurry avoid this restaurant. The service is terrible and the food is just ok. We waited 45 minutes for a club, veggie burger, and fish and chips. Never received a refill on our drinks. The waitresses were oblivious to any of this which was concerning.
