Was looking for a fresh sub and The Bottle Shop surpassed my expectations. The shop is a little hole in the wall convenience store type of vibe so wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered the regular sized Italian and it was one of the best subs I've ever had! So fresh, delicious, packed with meat and veggies, and enough for 2 people for only $13. Definitely recommend this was so good! read more

I am done going here- been going for years and I won't support this spot any longer. And paying $16 for a regular sandwich. Went today and got my usual- there is hardly any meat on here!!! So tiny. Another time I got no avocado, another no bacon. Over and over they continue to not read the order. Do they get new owners???? SO tiny of a portion I am beside myself. Could I have gone back yes however I am on a lunch break- I do not have time. read more

I've been grabbing sandwiches at the bottle shop for over 20 years. This place somehow seems to get better with age in a world where everything is deteriorating rapidly. The sandwiches are somehow better than I remember every time, the staff is friendly and efficient. The store is incredibly clean and well maintained. I greatly appreciate the bottle shop and their ability to be consistently excellent. read more

This place is has the best Italian sub for fifty miles in any direction. In fact, all of the sandwiches are good. The shop is cute and has a nice selection of beverages. The service is usually very fast. The employees can be a bit short and are not always that friendly. Might be that they have Fox News or Newsmax on the television and are wound pretty tight. Without the politics in the room this would be one of my favorite places. Maybe that's your thing though... read more

The Bottle Shop - Italian sub - Delis Near Me - Ukiah, California

We picked this place while driving down 101 and we started to want lunch. Yelp led us here and when we drove in, for a second I thought we were at the wrong place. This is liquor store, I thought, not a deli. Good thing there's an Italian place next door where we can get a sandwich, we thought. After a second we realized it was a liquor store (really wine and beer) AND a deli, so we scope it out, liked the looks of the place, the salads under the counter, and ordered. It was very good. Great bread and quality ingredients make for a good sandwich and this one was very good. I'd stop here anytime again if in the area. Service was efficiently and friendly. We ate just outside on one of the 3-4 concrete picnic tables in front of the place. My only regret is not trying the chili which was a seasonal special. read more

My partner and I love a good sammich! We stumbled upon The Bottle Shop, and were immersed into a retro mom and pop shop. The place just looks like the place for good sandwiches. Plus there's a variety of chips and grab-n-go drinks. The customer service was great and the owner even let me take some film photos of the place. Did I mention the custom sandwiches were tip top and contained all fresh ingredients? We'll be back here if we ever visit again! read more

Delish sandwich-and custom vinegar I bought was great. Quick service. Will now be a repeat customer....

The sandwich's are very good and for as busy as they are you get our sandwich very fast

Best deli sandwich I have ever had. I would drive to Ukiah just for the Bottle Shop! The soft sourdough bread is amazing.

Flew in for a few hours. Stopped off to get a sandwich. One of the best I've ever had. Dutch crunch bread was a showstopper. Will be back when flying into UKI. read more

The owner was rude, the staff don't seem to be treated well and are unfriendly to each other, and the TV is always playing Fox News too loud. I get the impression it is not a very comfortable place to be a race, gender, or s**ual minority. They're entitled to their beliefs, but that doesn't mean we want to see them or have them shoved in our faces. The sandwiches are tasty, though. I'm still not going back. read more

Excellent sandwich shop. We come to Clearlake a few times a year from Southern California and we make the extra 40 minute drive to Ukiah just for these sandwiches. Definitely a must stop. Just the crowds waiting in itself shows how good it is. Hole in the walls are always the best spots. Plenty of choices for drinks, chips, and sides from the liquor store. read more

Best sandwiches in towns hands downs! This is one of those gems that you must try if you are swinging by or if you're stopping by for whatever the heck reason. This place is a good reason to stop by!! The staff is always super friendly and will help you out with whatever your crazy needs are. They also have a pretty wide selection of wines and whatnot. Just go in there and take a wipf and then order twenty sandwiches. You won't regret it! You might regret it. I've never seen anyone eat twenty sandwiches. Even over a period of several days. That's just a little weird, but who cares! You do you, and you eat those sandwiches until you're nice and fat and satisfied :D read more

Awesome deli sandwiches. Pastrami and swiss is my go too. Bread is always super fresh. Sliced sour dough is what I usually get. Veggies are crisp and fresh as well. Best sandwiches in the area. read more

I used to frequent this business and enjoy it. More recently the service has gone down and there is a bunch of cranky older staff in there working that do not appear happy. When I went in it was like everything was an inconvenience for them to offer service. Also, the prices are way over the top expensive and the sandwiches have less meat all the time. Will be spending my money in a friendlier establishment. read more

Was having a mental break down at the table often learning that I'm careless and stranded in an unknown city. Here come the business owner telling me to move. No compassion for other humans. Please do not support this business that only cares about apearances. I was waiting for it to open so I could buy a drink as one is much needed. I will take my money else where thank you. What a horrible disgrace of customer service. read more

If you want a great sandwich & friendly service this is the place to go ! Such a cute little hole in the wall!!!

Best deli sandwiches in town! I always get the pastrami, cheddar, avocado or the pulled pork and I have yet to be disappointed. I love adding the Mendo Mustard, they're the reason I even know what Mendo Mustard is. The bread is always soft and fresh. The sandwiches are the perfect size. I usually grab one to go on my way back to the Bay Area. Sometimes I wish I ordered two because they're just that good. Variety of beers and drinks as well. I will forever be haunted by the best sandwich I've ever had from this place. Everything is delicious perfection, and the sandwiches are the proper size with the perfect amounts of ingredients. My husband and I stopped while on a road trip and the salami + cheddar on soft sour with mendo mustard, lettuce, onion, mayo, and pepperoncini was so delicious. Great selection of sides, drinks, and desserts. Go here! read more

Definitely one of my favorite quick stops in this place, always friendly from the front and the amount of stuff aside from the deli they had was immensely impressive. The only critique I have was how to order, since when I had gone was busy, but once that was figured out I really enjoyed it. Good sandwiches with a lot of meat, and enough variety around there to get snacks or drinks you might want. Definitely will be coming back often! read more

Since I'm new in the area, I really don't know the good places that the locals go to. Luckily, I was with a local and it was lunchtime. He suggested The Bottle Shop for quality and speed. I ordered a large sandwich, which is extremely LARGE! The bread was fresh and flavorful. The meat was lean and tasty. They have a good selection of cheeses as well. The price is a tad high if you compare it to chain sandwich shops, but here you get fresh and quality ingredients. The large sandwich can feed two people easily. They also sell lots of different types of drinks, hence the name. read more
