They get the 5th star because they have a vegan donut. I got the Almond Croissant Donut and I couldn't be happier. It was filled with a fluffy almond cream. Why Max chose a plain Old Fashioned is something I still question. Why would you get a plain Jane when they have so many unique ones to choose from. My only suggestion would be if they had a large sign on the outside that pictured the donuts of the day. Once you get in line you need to wait for people to make up their mind. I was that someone. I had to step aside to allow those behind me to go next. It was then that I realized they were just like me, and it gave me more time to think. This spot is worth every penny. read more

Fabulous cake and yeast donuts!!! The cake donuts are decent size and the yeast donuts are big with a dense dough. The glazed are so tasty!! The black coffees were also really good. Service at the drive thru was quick and the order was correct. The cinnamon rolls and apple fritters are better than any bakery. Delicious!! read more

I got to try Stan's Donuts from their cute, pastel pink truck in Harper Court before the storefront had opened. I chose a nice assortment of 3 donuts at $3 each - an apple fritter, an original glazed donut, and a lemon pistachio old fashioned. Although I had looked forward to the lemon pistachio old fashioned the most because it sounded unique, my favorite donut was certainly the original glazed. It was super fresh and perfectly sweet. The apple fritter turned out as expected - moist, lots of apple chunks, lots of cinnamon, and heavy. The lemon pistachio old fashioned tasted mostly of lemon and was a tad dry inside. I would definitely get the original glazed again and the apple fritter only if I have someone to share it with because it's so sweet and large. I didn't get a chance to visit the inside of the storefront, but I was able to look into it from the outside and it looked very cute just like their donut truck. It'd be great to visit the storefront someday to try out their drinks and some other donut flavors. read more

The operation is already running smoothly. I recommend using the online ordering system. You can arrange prepayment, pick up, and enjoy your doughy delights in short order. The cost might be a deterrent for many; however, Stan's does have some options for purchasing a variety pack that allows the customer to sample some of the more popular fares. An excellent choice for those not sure what to try at a lower cost. Stan's Doughnuts is a sugary sweet option that will undoubtedly become a mainstay in our neighborhood. read more

Got the Red Velvet Frozen Hot Chocolate. I think they properly pulled off getting red velvet into a drink. It was rich with just enough chocolate to not over power the red velvet flavor. The drink comes with a giant marshmallow on top, which doesnt make much sense to me because I expect it to mesh with the beverage like it does in hot chocolate. Instead it functions more like a treat on the side. Kinda cool for aesthetics, but maybe cake crumbs or simply whipped cream on top would suffice. I just want to say, the management hasn't changed the awful music that's always playing at Stan's, and I (and others I know) go here a lot less as a result. As someone who used to work as a barista, I can also add that it is disrespectful to the baristas to make them have to listen to such trash all day. Just let them pick the music! I love this establishment, the food is fresh and the workers are very friendly and respectful. I normally come in for a piece of quite and fresh donuts. Yesterday I came in for the red velvet donut and vanilla frappe which is to die for. Yesterday was a little too noisy for me, there was a customer yelling and using vulgar language towards her friend which became known to everyone in the establishment. The workers kindly asked if she could be mindful of other customers in the restaurant but the lady began to get louder and using such nasty language towards the workers. I don't understand why some people take their attitudes and frustration out on workers. I literally felt bad for the workers. The lady was very nasty. I was scared for the workers the way the customer and her friend was acting towards them. Because of this situation, this is the reason why I am giving 2 stars. read more

Aside from the great donuts...I was blown away by their above and beyond customer service today! I live out of town and placed a scheduled order for some birthday donuts through a delivery service 24 hours in advance and shortly after placing the order I updated the delivery time and received confirmation from the service that the time had been updated. Flash forward to delivery day and I get a notice that the order was arriving at the OLD time!! So I called the service and they were pathetically unhelpful (they even had the wrong number for the store I ordered from on the confirmation). I ended up getting connected to the Gold Coast store and the woman there said she would call this location to help straighten it out. Next thing I know, the manger is calling me and offering to deliver to order himself!! Amazing!!! Exceptional customer service by all at Stan's Donuts (and the donuts are epic too!!) read more
