I stopped by Do-Rite Donuts for a quick pit stop before heading over to the Skydeck, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman behind the counter was very sweet and welcoming. With so many tempting flavors to choose from, it wasn't easy to decide, but I went with the vanilla bean glazed donut. It was so good--soft, fresh, and full of flavor. Honestly, by the time I finished it, I felt like I should've ordered a few more! I didn't have enough time to explore all the options they had, but it was the perfect quick stop, and I'll definitely be back next time to try more of their flavors.

This is my go-to donut spot in the Loop. The location is convenient. The walk-in line moves fast. The pick-up process is seamless. Most importantly, the donuts are fresh and the selection is always well-stocked. My favorites are the old-fashioned, raspberry bullseye, and raspberry paczki. I have also expanded and tried a few other flavors that I have greatly enjoyed, e.g. apple fritter and blueberry crumb. For the Christmas holiday season, they have a gift card deal in which one can receive a $10 holiday bonus card with $30 e-gift card. I would usually take advantage and use the bonus and gift cards to splurge on donuts and/or fried chicken sandwich.

    Spicy chicken and Boston cream

Was told they serve way more than donuts and to check out their spicy chicken sandwich so I had to stop in. Decided to get it all, trying the spicy sandwich and the Boston cream. The sandwich was well made and I liked the flavor, but unfortunately didn't live up to the spiciness I was expecting or hoping for. Thankfully there was hot sauce to give me a bit of what I had been hankering for. My Boston cream was a nice treat a few hours later when I was ready for round 2. The donuts here are definitely on the sweet side, so you'll be hard pressed to eat more than one... which is never a bad thing. The staff was all really nice and I appreciated them explaining the menu to me as a newbie.

It's been a while since I've been to this location. The donuts are good but expensive 20$ for 6 donuts is a lot. Service is okay, not very friendly or welcoming.

Had a great lunch at this place. Was not sure what to get so I went with the spicy ranch chicken sandwich ( added bacon and cheddar), spicy tenders, fries, and cinnamon old fashion. Really good stuff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a take out spot located inside the Willis Towers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of communal seating with a glass roof Looking up at the building. It's a pretty cool view. Staff was friendly and food was quick. I'll be back for sure

Not a lot of breakfast options in the Willis tower but Do-Rite fits the bill and has solid egg breakfast sandwiches on brioche bun. A food alternative to donuts. Despite having a lot of customers they turn over very quickly so you get your food and get on with your day. Eat in the food hall general area or take up into the building if you have access .

    Gluten Free Chocolate Glazed Donut

I got a gluten free chocolate glazed donut and it was the best gluten free donut I've ever had! The outside was crunchy and the inside was soft. The chocolate glazed was the perfect amount as the donut was quite thick. I am regretting not getting more!

This is located in a mall-like venue inside Willis Tower. Friendly and prompt service with no wait in line! I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on brioche and it was well made, fresh, hot, and delicious.

We had a family picnic and ordered GF donuts for delivery. They were delicious and I couldn't even tell the difference.

Birthday Cake Donut and Old fashioned
    Jaison J.

Whenever you're in the city, a stop at Do-Rite Doughnuts is always a win. On this visit, the selection was limited to just old fashioned and vanilla birthday cake, but honestly both were delicious and totally hit the spot. The old fashioned had that classic, perfectly sweet bite, and the vanilla birthday cake was fun and nostalgic. I was hoping for more variety since we went early afternoon, but it just gives me an excuse to come back and try the other flavors next time!

They have literally the BEST gluten free donuts I've ever tried (across four different states)! They had 3 flavors around lunch time on a Tuesday: cinnamon sugar, chocolate frosted, and birthday cake (white frosting with sprinkles). They are LARGE yeasted donuts that are fluffy, have some additional glaze on the side, have no weird after taste and remind me of the regular donuts I have been so sorely missing. As the show Severance has taught us, I enjoyed each of them equally. They're also still good to enjoy a day later. Highly highly recommend and I'm sad I don't live in the area to enjoy them all the time. Service was incredibly friendly and quick as well and they have other food items besides regular and gluten free donuts.

    The Selection

Kevin, service with a smile and a great help with us choosing between a couple of donut options while picking out our dozen. Having not been to Do-Rite in 6 years, a great Fall morning walk to Willis Tower to get some of the best donuts around. I don't say this lightly. Having enjoyed many donuts around the country. What makes Do-Rite's so excellent is the texture and density plus size. Cost is a little higher but....... For a Dozen Anything, $27.95 plus $3 for 3 maple and pistachio donuts then add tax. The best yeast though I'm always comparing to now is at Thornton's back in the Louisville, KY area. Hugs and Donuts in Houston (now :-( closed) had the #1 glazed. Biscoff was the best there. Anyway, back to Do-Rite in Chicago..... Next visit, God only knows when, kids getting bigger and older....... Do-Rite will always be a destination. Seize the moment. Time goes by way too fast. Donuts, Do-Rite donuts, what a

Best (small) chain donut shop in Chicago... great selection, and they avoid the overthetop overly sweet.

My new favorite coffee shop... ever?? It was so good I managed to fit it in TWICE in a short trip…read more And have NOT shut up about it since I came back!! Military latte ($7.25)-- matcha and espresso mixed together with milk I don't know what sorcery they put in this but it's SO GOOD!! like matcha and espresso had a baby idk but they kept all the good parts of each other and balance each other out. For example, the matchy isn't earthy or chalky like some places or fake like the Starbucks one. The espresso isn't sour or burnt. And somehow when you combine both of them it's this perfect mellow blend but has the slight bitterness of both matcha/espresso where you're like "ah yes it's not just milk" that flavor really pulls through. But again it's mellow and blends together sooooo well like perfect mesh my goodness. Doesn't overpower doesn't feel like you're drinking matcha and coffee at the same time. It just becomes like a new thing altogether and that thing is glorious. The first time I got it iced (and the black camo latte hot) and all I could think about was how much better it would be hot.... So I had to come back for it !! And it ISSSS better hot. I enjoy hot lattes the hot milk and lack of ice is smoother and blends it together better or something. Obviously the iced version wasn't bad because I still had a great time... but when I came back for the second time and got it hot like YESSS THIS IS IT !!! Black camo latte ($7.25)-- same as Military but instead of matcha it's hojicha mixed with espresso! I took sips of this (as opposed to it being my own drink) and thought it was good! Really depends on if you like the taste of matcha or hojicha more. This one is deeper and richer, more earthy. Maybe even caramelized roast kinda flavor? Buuuut I know hojicha isn't for everyone so take it with a grain of salt. The combo with espresso is magical though like whatever ratio they're using is so perfect. It really blends together so well. ANDDDD here the coffee:milk ratio is so good!! No milky watered down lattes! I'm so used to having to add espresso shots or asking for less milk because coffee shops really be wildin in this economy but this place has a good ratio! Like yes wow we still have good things I love this for us. Matcha lemonade ($7)-- So absurdly sour I took one sip and that was enough for me!!! You really have to be a lemonade person like if that's your drink of choice to quench your thirst on a hot day then this is for you!! If you don't drink lemonade on the regular then I really wouldn't bother. I think this is a collab with a charity or something? Up your vitamin C for a good cause I guess. Cortado ($4.50)-- Espresso and milk, small cup, good test of their espresso and yesssss it passes with flying colors. And again, this place has their milk ratio down to a science. Perfectly balanced, not too much milk and you still taste all the coffee. Love love loveeeeee this place and would absolutely love an LA location. Until then, guess I'll have to plan another Chicago trip to get this goodness again !!!

That said, the matcha itself wasn't necessarily the best matcha I've ever had. I think there was just too much milk in the drink, so I couldn't really enjoy the matcha and hojicha notes. It was enjoyable, but not memorable enough to justify all the hype - or the price. I really liked the ambiance, and the baristas were genuinely kind. They were also very willing to adjust or remake a drink when needed, which I appreciated. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service, but I genuinely cannot accept the price-to-drink ratio. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think it lived up to the hype.

It is a vibrant, modern cafe staple known for its standout bakery items like their Strawberry Cream Croissants (that looked incredibly decadent), artisanal coffee drinks, and reliable breakfast sandwiches. They do have some gluten-free baked options like the pistachio muffin my wife enjoyed. Also, they have non-bread breakfast and lunch options if you are gluten-sensitive or celiac. The place is popular, based on the queue that went out the door when we went there over the past weekend. Due to its proximity to major downtown attractions like the Art Institute and office buildings, long lines will happen during morning work rushes and weekend peak hours. But it's worth the wait. For my money, the chocolate croissant, stuffed with rich chocolate mousse, is class, and will ensure you won't go hungry. At all. In fact, I had half of it in a Ziploc for two days, and it still tasted amazing. The chocolate mousse alone will give you a rush that will send you blasting into outer space. Their morning sandwich was pretty good with scrambled eggs, cheddar, bacon, avocado, and tomatillo sauce on toasted semolina. Although, admittedly, I was full from also indulging on the croissant, so I had leftovers. Their coffee drinks are also divine. I went with their Vietnamese cold brew, made with condensed milk that I enjoyed immensely. If I worked in the area, I would be coming here quite a bit.

There was already a small line of guests with the same idea, but we were able to get on the waitlist. While waiting, we checked out the small coffee shop inside the gallery and browsed the furniture, which helped pass the time. Our wait was about an hour before being escorted to our table in the courtyard. Initially, we were placed at a low coffee table with couch seating. It's a cool lounge style setup, especially for drinks, but not ideal for a meal. It would have been pretty awkward trying to eat comfortably. We asked to be moved and were told that table preferences should be requested when joining the waitlist. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't aware of that, and it also wasn't asked by the hostess. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us and moved us to a table in the wine cellar. The wine cellar had a completely different vibe, dark and moody, compared to the bright, airy courtyard with its beautiful glass ceiling and natural light. We ordered the lobster roll and the RH Burger, both with fries. The food came out fairly quickly and was well-presented. The lobster roll was served on a buttery brioche with just the right amount of seasoning, and the burger was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.
