Ok, so I very very rarely do the review thing. I feel compelled to leave this one though. This place is awesome!!! Food is fantastic. My wife and two adult daughters went there on 1/7/21 for my wife's bday. Obviously during Covid restrictions our restaurant choice was limited so I figured I would give Stagecoach a shot. Holy crap am I glad we did!!!! Broche Burger was amazing (peanut butter and jalapeños somehow really go together). The ribeye sandwich resulted in my wife and daughter still talking about it today!! First time visiting here and so glad we Finally tried it! Was soooo pleasantly surprised. The brushetta was amazing! Had one of their burgers which was deelish and the grilled pesto chicken sandwich was amazing! Their drink list was unique as is their menu. Can't wait to go back and try the rabbit stew! First time visiting the new restaurant in Lockport. Unfortunately it wasn't the best experience. We sat down inside and ordered drinks, I ordered the horseshoe tea and it was all whiskey and no tea. Our waitress disappeared after the drinks, then when she came back we ordered our food. I ordered a salad, boneless wings as an appetizer. My wife ordered pulled pork, I ordered the Elk dip and my son got nuggets. My salad and the wings came out and our meals came out 3 minutes after. How does that make sense? The taste was good but portion size for the price you pay is ridiculous. You can think your in downtown Chicago but you have to remember this is downtown Lockport. Use Common sense also, if you put our apps down give us more than a minute to eat them. Could be a decent restaurant if they stop trying to be soooo different. read more

Great concept of a place been there 3 times and each time experience has been worse. Went there during their soft opening on a Friday night was Able to order off their late night menu ...cheese fries, fried pickles, fried avocados all the food was good. my husband and I tried a few of their signature drinks. after waiting 10 minutes for the bartender to figure out where the menu was. that experience was alright we went the following Friday the week of Canal Days and were told the kitchen was not making food because they node to save food for the weekend. Bad business move you should of had this planned out. Now on my 3rd visit this is the places 3rd week open we again attempt to order food and were told NO we have no food to cook maybe in a few weeks. Im sorry this is a bad business point! I was then told if you don't like it go to Embers or some other place by some guy that was in a baseball hat claiming to be the chef! The bartender even agreed that this is bad for business. This is the 3rd Friday I have been here and each time has been getting worse! Also how on a Friday night do you only have 3 other customers there at 11pm and you are a bar! you had potential to put Embers out but you lost that! read more

Nice new restaurant in Lockport. Theme, attire and menu were good-all with a novel upbeat kick. *****The only issue I had was that the coin part of my change was not given after paying with cash. The waitress explained that they "round off" to the next dollar as it "balances" with the bar portion of the order. ( HUH? ) No mention of this policy was posted or discussed and took me by surprise--big time. I was offered the 45 cents by our server, but I denied it. I'm not sure this is legal, but will ask for my complete change should I decide to go back. NOT A GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION. read more

Second visit since they first opened and things have definitely improved. Had the steak sandwich which was tasty but a bit messy which just meant I used a few more napkins like at portillos! Was also given a sample of the chili of the day which was made with chorizo. Great balance of flavor with a nice sneaky heat. Bartender Jared was super attentive and offered up some of his favorites items as suggestions. Also tried the buffalo cauliflower which was a great appetizer. We frequently patronize this bar and restaurant and it has been one of our favorites to gather with our grandchildren. However on our last visit there we were shocked by the lack of adherence to wearing facemasks. When we made an attempt to express our concerns, even after ordering drinks and our meals, we were told that we didn't have to stay if we had a problem. A patron at an adjoining table...NOT socially distanced...was allowed to be inappropriate with us, telling me to "shut the (expletive) up" and said that we were (another expletive) just trying to ruin everybody's fun! We asked to speak to management and were lectured by the individual in charge, Who said he had no intention of enforcing face masks or social distancing. He said that we needed to realize that the restaurant was going to close If they had to follow state guidelines and the employees were going to be out of work if they didn't cater to the needs of their clientele. We were shamed and again told that we could leave if not comfortable. We had a feeling that the person who would actually lose out would have been our waitress, so we paid for the drinks and left her a $50 cash tip. This is just such irresponsible behavior, actually against the law in the state, and it's very dangerous for employees and patrons of the restaurant. I think that such places should be shut down if they outright refuse to follow appropriate safety practices. read more

We heard a lot of good things about this place, so we decided to try it out for my husbands birthday lunch. We ordered a bloody since we heard they were great. We thought we would get the loaded bloody with the burger on it, but we got a regular one. We weren't asked which kind we wanted, we didn't know to specify that we wanted the loaded one. Our waitress was extremely new. She didn't introduce herself until 15 minutes of us being seated. She took our drink and app order. Drinks came 10 minutes later. The bloody tasted like Clamato juice on ice, nothing special at all. Mule was good. She brought our appetizer and walked away, we had to catch her before she ran off to ask her for forks and to put in our food orders. She took our food orders and brought forks. Never came to check on us so we had to grab a different waitress to tell her we didn't like the bloody that we took two sips from and if we could get a beer instead. We were still charged for both drinks regardless. Food was brought out by a different server, had to ask her for forks again. The servers kept running off before we could ask for anything else. Had to ask another random server to send our waitress over to ask for sour cream and waters. I understand she was new, but if you're THAT new you should NOT be serving yet. She needs more training. read more

The atmosphere is cozy. All of the food I have had is amazing. I recommend the buffalo cauliflower for the appetizer, it is delicious! The waitresses are nice and the food comes out quickly. I am looking forward to trying more! read more

The only thing that keeps this place from a 5 are the prices. We were there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and were greeted right away by the bartender who was friendly, knowledgeable and never let us get thirsty. Food was excellent, came out quick, portions were fine, the place is clean, and the decor is awesome. I don't live in the area, but will definitely make the drive to go there again. read more

My husband and I were excited to try this place because of the awesome meats they offer. The food was very good. The service however....there's a bunch of young waitresses walking around looking very miserable but I couldn't help but notice none of the tables being served. These girls were just running around. Even when we sat down there wasn't a waitress in sight. My husband had to ask for service after 20 mins. They were all standing up front talking. Our waitress was nice but even though we put all the food in together it took unusually long for every dish. We ordered a sandwich to go and it took an hour. The only waitress I saw serving tables regularly was a pretty blonde girl. The rest appeared to be in the kitchen crying. Like actually crying. That was the vibe I got. Good place, good service, good food!! My rule of thumb is if it is not a chain restaurant, give it a few weeks to work out the obstacles before visiting. Come to think of it...I have visited chain restaurants when they first opened and they are tripping over themselves at first. I just wanted to point this out in regards to some of the other reviews from when these guys first opened. I think it's a great atmosphere. Maybe they need to add a guy playing an old piano in the corner!? Wife and I grabbed some wings...really good...and a Bavarian pretzel. Next visit, I'm going to try some wild game entree. Pretty decent variety for beers on tap. Plenty in bottles/cans. A nice addition to Lockport for sure. Definitely give them a try and I wish them success!!!! read more

We ate here last week and everything was delicious. The decor was awesome and the wait staff was nice. You can tell the restaurant is new and still getting into their groove with things but they just opened! I have faith that will improve. We are eating there tonight as well! read more

Customer service isn't a high note here. We, a party of 5 at 6pm, waited for close to 5 min. to be seated while the bartender/hostess(?) was busy reading/responding to texts before realizing ourselves & another couple were here. The curtained booth we ended up getting next to the bar was a party-house for flies, who were persistent in trying to socialize with us. Our young server, Madison, who did tell us she was rather new there after a few questions posed her couldn't be answered, took our drink order & was asked by me for lemon slices for the water. One slice, the size of a sliced grape, came back (didn't know lemons grew that small). Asked again, never got any again. When dinner was served & she asked if everything looked good, another request for some lemon was made, to no avail. But what was interesting was that in the course of our time there, she made 9 separate trips from I'm guessing was the kitchen area behind us, to the front to gaze out the front window for a minute or 2, then go back to the kitchen area. BUT WHEN ASKED FOR THE CHECK.......she was back with that within 2 minutes, & also knew when I set down the pen after signing the charge ticket. A 10% tip was left for her so hopefully if she saw that the usual 20% wasn't rendered, it was for a reason. Was I upset at our dining experience?...no, more like dumbfounded with the server, as well as the fact that there appears to be nobody in managerial position overseeing operations here, from greeting & seating forward. Although we didn't, the booth next to us had a problem with their order, as did a table adjacent to them. But the table server was a different girl, so it just isn't one person. In conclusion, one & done here. I'm going to be in the area Saturday afternoon with clients, but will definitely venture across to the street to the Lock Mule for dinner. read more

I am a Lockport resident and I was in downtown on June 26th and went to Embers for dinner. As I was going back to my car I noticed umbrella tables on the sidewalk down the street, so I went to investigate and found the Stagecoach Bar and Grill and went inside. I was very impressed with what they did here, from the décor to the way the staff was dressed. Unfortunately I had already ate so I had a drink at the bar and checked over the menu. My wife was out of town till Sunday so I decided that I would bring her here on Monday night for dinner. We just got home and I was quite disappointed. We were brought to a table that at first didn't work for us because of the sun but they quickly changed our seating which was nice. We ordered the fried pickles and avocado which came out promptly, was hot and VERY tasty, but everything kind of went down hill after that. My wife ordered a pork tenderloin Horseshoe and I had a pulled pork sandwich. While both our sandwich were hot and tasty, both of our sides(mine sweet potatoes fries, hers regular fries) were cold. What put me off is we never saw our waitress, someone else brought out our foods, no one ever came to check on our food or ask us if we wanted another drink. It was not particularly busy and there seemed to be enough staff to cover. When the waitress finally came over for me to pay the bill and I mentioned the fact that I could have drank three beers in the time I was there and no one offered us more drinks, she made a kind of oh well comment and I mentioned the cold fries she said she would mention something to the back. Well no one I mean no one addressed my complaints and just wanted my payment. I will say that other than the cold sides, and not very good service, we really liked the décor and most of what we ate.
