I needed a break from the routine of life and Hog Wild came to mind. This is a place that you can have a delicious pork chop, burger or Rib Eye steak and not break the bank. I also love that they have an expansive bar that offers some great cocktails, and an outstanding Bloody Mary. It was a Saturday night around seven. They were sold out of the ribeye so my better half opted for the New York strip it was pretty good. It's a casual setting, you order your food at the register and they bring it out to you. They have a huge fireplace in the dining area so we sat next to the fireplace, relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. I've been here a time or two and my favorite on the menu is the rib eye and the pork chop. I ordered the pork chop it's huge, juicy and it has a great grilled char. It is just an outstanding piece of meat. I also love their fries and garlic toast. After dinner, I settled in and played a few slot machines. Since moving to Orland Park I have been on the hunt for a good and authentic BBQ place. Hog Wild is a newer place that opened up in New Lenox. We each had the half slab of ribs dinner. Sides were oven browns, Cole slaw and baked beans. The ribs were meaty and tender as well as delicious. The slaw was too small of a portion but good. The oven browns were like seasoned fries and OK. The baked beans were a large portion and delicious. The ribs had a tasty sauce but not enough on it. That part was disappointing as we spent a lot of money. They should have offered a side of BBQ sauce as that would have made them perfect. Our order was ready on time. The service was friendly. read more

Disappointing to say the least. For being named Hog Wild, there is no decoration resemblance of a hog. Deer antlers, an Elvis statue but no porky pig or Boss Hog. My wife got the pork chop and I the walleye. The pork chop was over cooked and the walleye had a lot of bones. My wife wanted dessert with coffee, but they didn't have coffee. So i was looking for some BBQ. This place is near my work. There suppose to be famous for their porkchop. It's good but not great imo. The sides are above average imo. The potatoes are good, the green beans are good, the coleslaw is good. I also tried the Bone-In Ribeye. Got it medium. Good char solid flavor, but overall just OK. The staff was nice, and the wait time was minimum on both occasions I went. I appointment recommend going here. I haven't tried there actual BBQ yet so there's more to review later. This is a pretty new location so maybe they are still working some stuff out. We ordered an appetizer and soup and didn't receive them. They were still on the bill and had to have them removed. The pork chops were excellent. Great flavor and very tender. My husband got the sauce on the side as recommended by the waitress. Mac and cheese was good too. I ordered the chicken gyro. It came as a full chicken breast on a pita. On the menu they have an item listed as chicken breast on a pita and a separate entree called chicken gyro. I asked the waitress and she said depends what cook you get sometimes the slice it thin but it's the same meat. My experience with chicken gyros is a shaved meat. Not a cut up chicken breast. I was so excited because waiting to order and waitress-delivery was super fast!! I arrived at 12pm on a Friday. Prime lunch rush time... and the line was long. But moved quickly. Took 5 minutes total in line, to reach cashier. Then another few minutes later.. my half slab meal arrived at my table!! Very happy. UNTIL i started eating the ribs. They were room temperature; not a hint of hotness, or even warmth, at all. It seemed quite evident that they were pre-made and sitting to wait for people to order during lunch rush. Not enjoyable at all to eat room temp ribs. Also as others have posted = corn bread is packaged from the convenience store or something. Not good cornbread at all. If that wasn't enough we called and spoke with a manager "Andy" who said he had to look at the camera of the food coming out of the kitchen before he could comment on the problem of the food. He took our name and number but never called back. Next day we called back and asked why we never got a call back and why viewing of the video footage of a complaint of food was necessary. The female manager said there was no record of our call and had no answer about the footage. We again left our information. She stated she would pass the message along to "Andy" who would call us back. It's been three days, guess we won't get that call back. I would be embarrassed to serve that mac and cheese to anybody. Make a roux, add cream and milk, stir until thickened, then some real shredded cheese, top with crushed crackers and butter, bake until the topping is lightly browned. It's not hard. Ordered fried pickles and received a soggy container of pickles with hardly any breading on them. Ordered a corned beef sandwich with everything on it. The menu list, mozzarella cheese, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing. I received a sandwich plain. I already went back once to try to fix the fried pickle issue. Food was every bit as good as the old location in Midlothian. I've only been to the New Lenox location twice, but both times had the rib tips and they were tender and perfect. I thought there would be more hiccups because it was new, but only one was they were out of one side and substituted with another. I was pleased at how spacious it is. Why not 5 stars? Well, it's just not a 5 star flavor profile. While it's certainly very good, I reserve 5 stars for "best I've had, hard to duplicate" experiences. Hog Wild is great, and a welcome addition since the recent closing of Bourbon's Smoke House in New Lenox, which also had great bbq. I notice a lot of low ratings and I'm glad I haven't had those experiences yet. If I do, I will be sure to update my review. read more

Since the move from Midlothian, third time I stopped in to pick up some to go and quality has gone down. The beef brisket was fatty and cut funny , not good probably wouldn't recommend it or go back. I miss the Midlothian location. Food was way better. read more

Horrible. Horrible, horrible. Run don't walk away from this place. I ordered a chicken gyro and received a half of an overcooked chicken breast (no more than 2 ounces) with 1/2 of thickly chopped onion, a few tomatoes and a dollop of sour cream. The Cole slaw must have been sitting out for a few days because it was liquified into mush. My husband ordered 6 wings with spicy bbq sauce and received dried out small wings with the most sugary sauce you can imagine. My son and daughter in law also said the sauce overpowered the amount of meat received on their sandwiches. The only person satisfied either way was their meal was a 3 year old that ordered grilled cheese. You can refund me my $73.00 that I paid for this horrible experience. Placing your order is a complete cluster, the attendants working the register taking the orders had no idea what the food was and they didn't have the daily special. The person taking the order must've called for Tony 3-4 times but he was busy goofing off with the others in the back while preparing food.
