Since moving to Orland Park I have been on the hunt for a good and authentic BBQ place. Hog Wild is a newer place that opened up in New Lenox. We each had the half slab of ribs dinner. Sides were oven browns, Cole slaw and baked beans. The ribs were meaty and tender as well as delicious. The slaw was too small of a portion but good. The oven browns were like seasoned fries and OK. The baked beans were a large portion and delicious. The ribs had a tasty sauce but not enough on it. That part was disappointing as we spent a lot of money. They should have offered a side of BBQ sauce as that would have made them perfect. Our order was ready on time. The service was friendly.

So i was looking for some BBQ. This place is near my work. There suppose to be famous for their porkchop. It's good but not great imo. The sides are above average imo. The potatoes are good, the green beans are good, the coleslaw is good. I also tried the Bone-In Ribeye. Got it medium. Good char solid flavor, but overall just OK. The staff was nice, and the wait time was minimum on both occasions I went. I appointment recommend going here. I haven't tried there actual BBQ yet so there's more to review later. (Next time I'm asking for a porkchop Fresh off the grill)

Chicken gyro? More like full chicken breast on a pita with tzatziki sauce

This is a pretty new location so maybe they are still working some stuff out. We ordered an appetizer and soup and didn't receive them. They were still on the bill and had to have them removed. The pork chops were excellent. Great flavor and very tender. My husband got the sauce on the side as recommended by the waitress. Mac and cheese was good too. I ordered the chicken gyro. It came as a full chicken breast on a pita. On the menu they have an item listed as chicken breast on a pita and a separate entree called chicken gyro. I asked the waitress and she said depends what cook you get sometimes the slice it thin but it's the same meat. My experience with chicken gyros is a shaved meat. Not a cut up chicken breast. I still ate it but beware if you order it. It is not a true chicken gyro. Service was ok but very slow.

Store-bought cornbread? And not good quality either. I would prefer another piece of garlic bread instead of this...

I was so excited because waiting to order and waitress-delivery was super fast!! I arrived at 12pm on a Friday. Prime lunch rush time... and the line was long. But moved quickly. Took 5 minutes total in line, to reach cashier. Then another few minutes later.. my half slab meal arrived at my table!! Very happy. UNTIL i started eating the ribs. They were room temperature; not a hint of hotness, or even warmth, at all. It seemed quite evident that they were pre-made and sitting to wait for people to order during lunch rush. Not enjoyable at all to eat room temp ribs. Also as others have posted = corn bread is packaged from the convenience store or something. Not good cornbread at all. I think I'll skip this location in future.

The Hossa with fries. 8/10

They really made this place look awesome. All the renovations from the old place were well worth it. Plenty of room and the bar is cool. Menu is enormous. Food came out quick and correct. Our waitress was awesome and the waiter was a 10/10, I think his name was Dan.

New location is nice but not the same has the Midlothian location. They have a nice bar that opens to outdoor seating. The food of course was good and service was good... Parking can be an issue on a busy night

Like the layout. It's like half bar. Half causal dining with soda machines. Had big garage door style windows open on a nice spring day. $3.50 yiengling. Food was good. Service was good. Will return

Ordered it with "everything" on it. Where's the mozzarella thousand island and kraut the menu lists?

Best pork chop I've ever had. Tender and seasoned well. Sides were good and will be back.

There was some kind of backup issue in the past 12 hours and the back end of the place smelled like an outhouse. The area near mens room was blocked off for a private event and I dont even know how those poor people could eat in that area with the smell. On the patio people brought in 2 great dane dogs that were the size of small horses and how is that normal for outside dining anywhere, and people were leaving. Who has to watch dogs shitting by the next table where people are eating? Where are the owners? The same managers walk around clueless. Dont worry, the health dept. will find you out for sure. Good luck.

The fish tacos do not come with any kind of side. They were $15.00 for 3. Not very big. The burger came with fries. Don't recall about the bratwurst. We requested water and when we wanted another round of drinks it took awhile. Server was not in sight to handle request. She was pleasant just not accessible. Food was just ok. Not sure I will go back. At least not for lunch. Restaurant is nice inside. Maybe there is more help on the weekends or evenings.

Everyone is genuinely welcoming/friendly. Everyone takes care of you the same way! Ambiance is fun, by yourself or as a family there's plenty of seating options and it's not too loud. When we arrived, the place felt empty, which was surprising given that it was Columbus Day and many people were off of work and school. Our waitress was friendly and checked in on us frequently, and the dining room was clean, but the food was just mediocre. We started with bruschetta ($10) and cheese curds ($11) for appetizers. When the cheese curds arrived, we were pretty confused because they looked more like chicken tenders than cheese curds. They were greasy, puffy, and barely had any cheese inside. They didn't taste good at all, so one of my friends let the waitress know we didn't like them, and she took them back without issue. The bruschetta was much better and made with fresh ingredients, but it lacked flavor despite the freshness. We did finish these, though. For my entrée, I kept it simple and ordered six chicken tenders ($10) with a side of BBQ sauce. They were decent--crispy and well-cooked--but lacked any real standout flavor or seasoning. As for my friends, they were generally pleased with their meals. One ordered the crispy chicken sandwich ($14), which she enjoyed, though she was disappointed she didn't realize she could have added sauce. The waitress hadn't asked if she wanted any, and my friend must have missed this on the menu, so a reminder would have been helpful. My friend did like the sandwich's crispy texture, though. My other friend had the Cajun pasta ($12), which she liked a lot. It had a nice spicy kick and came with two pieces of garlic bread. All in all, I don't think I'd rush back here. The menu has a lot of options, and the prices are reasonable, but nothing we had stood out enough to make me want to return.

The Whistle is a great place for watching games or any sports. Maybe just get better food. You can find crap tons to get but it could be too complicated for the chaotic kitchen. There's also a long bar but there was no room there. It has a lot of specials including Teeling Small Batch whiskey shots at $5 on Mondays. There's a crap ton on the menu including tacos. Summer time to winter the waitresses have zero customer service skills and have waited multiple times over 15 mins for a waitress to acknowledge us once we were seated when it wasn't even busy. Food has been barely average and is edible each time. The last time we were given pop that was flat x3 different flavors/ taps and the waitress even made a comment that it looked gross but she said oh well and still gave it to us (ok????? Why did you say that to us and why would you do that to us??) After so many times and just saying water was fine shewas pissed at us about it like it was our fault? Then she took our order after not coming back for another 30 minutes and we never saw her again until maybe an hour later. Someone else brought food out and she never checked on us again. We saw her next to us on the other side of the wall diving us and thought she was busy cleaning a table that left but she went straight for the cash picked it up and shook her head and laughed and walked away and left the dirty table the rest of the time. Tons of tvs and the place seems to be packed everytime we drive by or went but I'm not sure what the hype is because it's terrible. We gave enough strikes that we won't be back.
