I don't go here regularly, but have family that live in the area so this is our place to go when we want a nicer meal. It had been a couple of years, but the feel was not as warm or friendly as I remembered. I ordered a medium tenderloin, and half was medium well and the other half was well done. The waitress asked how things were and I told her it was cooked more than a medium, but I am eating it. She just said yes, she can see that, and sorry. For a $50 meal I would have expected more. I didn't want to embarrass the people I was with, but I was pretty disappointed. The baked onion soup was good. The potato was very basic. We love to dine at Stagecoach Inn! We've been coming here for many years on our way to Oshkosh and we have never been disappointed. There were five of us in our party and everyone loved their dinner. The waitress, Jessica, was delightful and so entertaining. The manager came by our table to ask us about our meals. He was so friendly and welcoming. Stopped in on a cold Wednesday night and walked in to find it warm and cozy with great Christmas decorations adding to the normal northern charm. It was busy but they were able to seat us right away. Our pleasant server provided us with drinks an our orders came quickly. I had the Wednesday special queen cut prime rib with 4 deep fried shrimp, along with sides of salad, au gratin potatoes and chicken dumpling soup. I enjoyed it all. My prime was very tender. and My wife had the breaded pork tenderloin. There were two huge tenderloins that had thin and crispy breading and were moist inside. GREAT PLACE - ALWAYS BUSY. Get a reservation. Many times you will NOT be able to get in - especially on Fridays and Weekends. Great food and very reasonable drinks. Good atmosphere. Servers are very attentive and will always bring you more bread, etc. Limited seating so if you have a party of 6 or more, definitely call and make a reservation. Went there with the Vietnam Veterans of America (about 50 people) and they treated everyone great. Taking a step back in time and remembering what dining used to be. The smell, colors, and even down to the paper checks. You are greeted with a warm smile, and we stepped up to the bar to have a drink before being seated at our warm corner table. The bartender had a sweet smile, and she pumped out the old-fashioned, martini, and lemon drop martini in a flash. They were all delish! I had to do a double take as the price aligned with the back in time feel. The dinner service was with warm bread and a cracker basket. Oh, the memories of the midwest dining!!! Grab a dinner that includes the relish tray. You won't be disappointed. Each of us tried a different cut of meat and added the scalloped potatoes. We were too full to try desert but eyed it up on a couple of other tables, and they looked wonderful. When I am back, I will come back to Stagecoach for round two! read more

Oh, where to start. We were on our way back from Cascade Mountain after a day of February skiing, and wanted to find a new steakhouse. My wife found this one, and we managed to snag a reservation for a table in the bar area. The sign has a stagecoach on it - it looks like the wheels could be made to spin from the neon, but they weren't the night we were there. See the photos below. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door. There is a spot to the left as you walk in to put your coats if you want. Once seated, look around. There is a ton of history on the wall, and we enjoyed the wall displays of old guns and equipment. They start you off with 3 different salads. You think "What? 3?" Yes, three, and pretty generous portions of them. There was a 3 bean salad, a pea salad, and another one, and all of them were very tasty. We tried not to leave any behind. We ordered their jalapeño cheese curds as an appetizer. The cheese curds were good, but we couldn't taste much jalapeño zing in them. The salad came out - it was what I'd call a basic steakhouse salad. Nothing fancy. I ordered their baked french onion soup - that was very good, with the cheese liberally applied over the top of the bread in the top, and plenty of tasty onions inside. For the main course, my wife had their fried fish, which was plentiful along with Au Gratin potatoes and cole slaw. I had their filet mignon, which was very tasty, seemed to be dry aged, and was sooo tender, with a baked potato. As much as we would have liked to order dessert, it wasn't in the cards. Dinner was more than filling enough. Would we come back? Oh yes we would. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the restaurant had a lot of interesting things to look at on the inside. If there was Hall of Fame for very good, this would be the standard , not the best of anything but it's very good of everything, it has a supper club feel, the steak and fish very good , just not the best I've ever had. The bartenders and staff are top notch 5star for them. We love the fried walleye, fried pork tenderloin and we highly recommend ordering the lobster bites as an appetizer....its on the dinner menu but ask for an order for appetizer. Food was excellent. Steak was great. Fish fry was awesome. Light batter on Cod with great tartar sauce. Crab legs were apparently awesome. Server Emma was really great. We were in a quiet little room just off the bar. Everyone in our party of 5 loved their meal. They had a dessert tray. Peanut butter pie was incredible. They also have ice cream drinks. Soooo cute! This was my first time at a supper club and it was pretty dang good! Our meal came with a relish tray which was a first for me. For my entree I got the 10oz ribeye steak with baked potatoes. Only downside was the soup, I wasn't a fan of the onion soup. The service was fine, our waitress gave us some recommendations. Reservations for 4 and we were seated immediately upon our arrival. Our server Leise arrived as soon as we were seated offering a beverage order. Once our beverages arrived asked to take our order. Two ordered steak two ordered seafood. Relish tray is not anything to write home about. Beet salad, corn salad, Coleslaw and 3 bean salad. Very bland and about 1/2 cup of each to serve 4. Not worth the up charge to include it with your meal. Soup and salad served at the same time but soup was piping HOT. Steaks were flavorful but seafood was not. Note to self, stick with steak at a steak house. The dining room was clean and although very busy the noise level was minimal. Overall, an enjoyable experience~ My thoughts: Go online with the reservation system. Please. A call-back is a nice personal touch, but I'm sure they could make much better use of their time, and I wouldn't have to wait for a phone call to plan my weekend. Maybe rename the relish "tray" which is actually four bowls of various (good) salads, to something less misleading, but that's simply a personal preference/expectation. Maybe it's a Stagecoach tradition, I dunno. The mushrooms we ordered with our steaks were stems and pieces and had the appearance/taste of being dumped out of a can. Buttons served on the steak (and not in a bowl) is the only way to go. C'mon. It was the low point of our dinner. Finally, the relish tray, soup, salad and bread all came within minutes of each other. We had a table full of food and felt rushed. Afterwards, we waited about 40 minutes for the main course to arrive. It was a busy Saturday night, and we had good drinks so it's a minor point, but timing matters. Suggestions aside, the ambiance, service, drinks and food were all very good! Super friendly staff. Truly, one of the best Old Fashinoneds I've had at a supper club in several years. They also made a perfect gin martini which so many restaurants get wrong somehow. If we lived closer, this would be a regular stop for sure! read more

All the renovations made in recent years, definitely show, but the supper club vibe is still strong. Prices here are definitely reasonable for the amount of food you get! Their spin on a relish tray is a little out of my wheelhouse, but we all tried most of the different types of salads. I ordered the filet with sun gratin potatoes. The steak was amazing, and the ah gratin potatoes needed salt, but were great as well! My husband ordered the deep-fried Lobster as a side with his scallops and he inhaled it all! Such a nice little supper club in the middle of no where. This place has been recently remodeled, creating more dining space and is darling inside. It's encouraged to have reservations, and we were lucky to get in with a same day call. They offer daily specials, dinner specials, and a tower of small salad options, like beet salad, pea salad, 3 bean salad and another that I can't recall., but the bring it out to your table for everyone to share, along with a basket of crackers, breadsticks, rolls and butter. Most dinners come with salad, choice of potato, choice of soup and your entree. Our table ordered two of the 14 oz ribeyes, French Fried Lobster that came with drawn butter, and the Sunday special of steak and shrimp. The ribeyes were cooked to perfection and enjoyed immensely. The steak and shrimp special featured a small sirloin which was a little on the chewy side, the fried shrimp were huge and delicious. The French Fried lobster was beer battered and a special treat. They also have after dinner ice cream drinks, like grasshoppers or brandy Alexander. Very tasty. Close to the house- great little supper club that's been here forever and then some. They got a great fillet that they offer along with a lobster tail for just a few dollars more. I can never seem to get away from that. Other menu items like chops and other steaks but the filet is where it's at. This place is packed all the time, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. The food is adequate but nothing to write home about. My strip steak was poorly trimmed, making it far less the value that it appeared. The cold salads that pass for a relish tray were equal to what you would get from the grocery deli, and there's no outstanding bread that makes the whole trip worthwhile. Found this place when looking for a supper club. Cane on a Wednesday for prime rib. Started in bar for some darn good brandy old fashioned. Then went to dining room for dinner. I had the prime rib, wife had pork chops and daughter had steak. All were fantastic. Restaurant very nicely decorated. Would have given five stars but felt a bit rushed. Relish tray was quickly followed by salad and then before salad was half finished the soup came. Would have liked more time to enjoy each course. Staff was very pleasant. We will be back. read more

We had a party of 6 adults and a baby for dinner early Saturday evening. The staff was friendly and everything was well organized. The service was excellent and courses well timed. The food was well prepared. The downside and thus the missing star was that most all the food was bland. The French onion soup had no depth or flavor. The au jour for the seasonless prime rib was like water. Not surprising, the brandy alexander was missing the nutmeg. The not-so-good: had reservations but they were 45 minutes late seating us. Insisted that we "pre-order" the entire meal sitting at the bar. "King cut" of prime rib only 12 oz, can add weight, charged by the ounce. 4 of us had the beer cheese soup, arrived cold. Took them back to reheat/replace, slightly warmer. First time at this restaurant. It has an old time supper club feel. The inside is rustic and dim lighted. It is very clean and kept up. We had a drink at the bar before dinner. The bartender was very friendly. Our drinks were good and well priced. We sat for dinner and our waitress was friendly. We ordered our dinners and she brought out a relish tray and bread. Both had good options and were good. My husband got the porterhouse and I got the filet with an add on of deep fried scallops. We both got the scalloped potatoes. The potatoes were good. The steaks were good but my favorite was the deep fried scallops. They were great. For dessert I got the banana ice cream drink. I shared it with a friend and they split it for us, I enjoyed it. This place is a treat ! Awesome staff, professional, funny, and kind. A clean little hole in the wall out in the sticks of of highway 26 between Fort Atkinson and Milton WI. Steak and tail here is still the best I've ate anyplace. Attention to detail here is easily seen. Prices are fair , portions big get there early so can get a parking spot! They fill up fast, even in the summer. I have ate steak and tail here since I was about 10 years old with my dad and sometimes my sister. Unreal unsurpassed quality and tastes! I had the $23 broiled walleye dinner and was disappointed. There was a fishy aroma when it arrived and it didn't appear to have any seasoning except for paprika. Luckily it didn't taste fishy but the lack of seasoning and the smell made it difficult to enjoy. The tartar sauce tasted like a mixture of mayo and pickle juice but had very little actual pickle pieces or seasoning. The salad was flavorless iceberg lettuce with a couple cucumber slices and a tomato slice. The blue cheese dressing was good, though.  The French onion soup had decent flavor but was missing cheese. Maybe it is unfair to expect that but adding Swiss or parmesan would have elevated it to a whole new level. The bread sticks and crackers were sealed in tiny plastic bags. The Au gratin potatoes tasted OK but had what appeared to be a slice of processed cheese melted on top. Overall I've noticed this type of food preparation is pretty typical for rural WI supper clubs but I was hoping that the higher prices here would be accompanied by fresher fish and higher quality ingredients. Our steaks were excellent and prepared to our liking. Not a fan of the "relish tray" which is actually veggie salads. We told the waitress to skip it. Just not our thing. My only other disappointment was my martini, a very small glass maybe 2/3 full. Service was good and we will probably be back. read more
