Traditional egg & sausage breakfast - YUM!

Legendary Stack's Kitchen delivers again. It's just what they do - great food using quality ingredients served by employees who really care at a fair price. Bright, clean restaurants that are usually packed for breakfast. Good news is service and kitchen prep is prompt. You'll be back...

It's been about two years since my last review. The place was packed on a Sunday morning with a 30 minute wait. I ordered the Stacks Lumberjack and boy that's a lot of food. Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking up on us. Everything was good.

Stack's Kitchen nails the breakfast game with speed and flavor. Service was fat -- in the best way possible. Food came out fast, hot, and exactly as ordered. No waiting, no excuses. The French toast was stacked high with bananas, strawberries, powdered sugar, and whipped cream -- indulgent without being overdone. Scrambled eggs were soft and buttery, bacon crisp, and the corned beef hash had that perfect diner-style sear. Coffee stayed full, and the staff moved with purpose. If you want a place that respects your time and delivers comfort food with zero fluff, Stack's is it. Five stars, no hesitation.

Really love this place. I've come back a couple of times since my last review. Great prices and food. The service was quick and reliable. This Monday morning the waitress was a bit "down to business" and not super warm but she did her job well so can't really complain- she even knew we would need multiple bags and boxes. Food was out less than 20 mins after ordering. The place was clean and the food was good.

Went for breakfast on a Monday and everything was great. No wait which is always wonderful. Service, atmosphere, food were all good.

We recently went to Stacks Kitchen for breakfast just to try it out and because we've heard great things about this restaurant. Stacks Kitchen is what you'd expect from a small time restaurant because it does have s small town feel and the people are very nice. The decor and atmosphere is simple, laid back and inviting. The customer service was wonderful and our waitress was very good from beginning to end. To be honest, she was the highlight of our experience. Now to the food, I ordered the Stacks LumberJack plate but substituted the pancakes for waffles which was a great choice. The reason for the three stars is because the egg whites were under cooked, no flavor, the bacon was overcooked and crispy and the biscuit was bland. The waffle was delicious, well made and the star of the breakfast. The portion size is good for the price you pay so you are getting your money's worth. Overall, I was disappointed with the food but to each their own and maybe today was just a bad day for the cook. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine.

Stacks is a staple in Waxhaw. They've got the best french toast and fresh-squeezed orange juice in town. Those two items alone are worth repeat visits. We've dined here at least a dozen times and we've never had a bad visit. Casual, friendly, delish. If you're patient enough to wait for available seating, head on over.

Food was delicious! Homemade bread. Good coffee! Portions are a very good size, price is very fair. Service was excellent. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Got the stuffed French toast. It was fantastic. With the syrup, it was the perfect flavor. Not too sweet.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel right at home every time you walk in. Service was good. The biggest downfall was the beverages. The coffee my daughter and I each had tasted like water (we both agreed) we nicely asked waitress to try another pot and she did and it was just as bad. The waitress mentioned that other folks have complained about the coffee. My wife had Ice Tea and she is a connoisseur and she said that too was really tasteless. Basically we spent an extra $10 on drinks that were not good. Waitress didn't offer to comp the drinks even after we mentioned being unhappy with them. With lots of breakfast options in Waxhaw and Indian Land we will be taking our business other places.

Good: Biscuit was soft and had a good taste to it. The pancakes were also solid. Coke in a glass bottle! Scrambled egg was fine. Tough to mess that up. Bad: The homestyle potatoes had a decent flavor but they were cold and mushy. They didn't seem to have any ice. Worse: My breakfast meat was kielbasa and it was disgusting. It was cold and undercooked. It really tasted like I grabbed a raw hot dog from the fridge and just started gnoshing on it. I had two bites and that was all I could stomach. We went for Father's Day breakfast and I had high hopes. Really wanted to like this place. The menu looks great but this was not it. I saw they have breakfast at a really reasonable price, and I definitely want to make it in one morning, but I'm always running late somewhere lol. Today we ordered hot dogs and fries. The booth in which I sat was wobbly, as demonstrated by the child kicking and wriggling at the table next to me the entire time. But spotless; the staff keeps the place clean and neat like nobody's business. The food wasn't much to base my review on, as it was a really simple item that they managed to muck up because they added bacon despite me asking for none, likely because they didn't believe people would not want meat. It's not exactly a vegetarian-friendly space and I don't eat much meat. So I expect to return to try something else but in the meantime let me talk about the staff. The people who work here are what one hopes of southern hospitality. They are warm, friendly, hardworking as can be, and treat you like a treasured guest. I immediately fell in love with the place because of them. Let's hope on my return for breakfast I can bump this review up a level, because seriously, these people make me happy to live in the South.
