Hit up Stack's for some breakfast and no complaints. There was a wait but it went by pretty quickly. The service here is fantastic. Waitress was courteous and attentive. Decided to try the Jersey sandwich with oatmeal as my side. The sandwich was amazing and the egg was cooked to perfection. The oatmeal was also very good. I mean it is oatmeal and although rare, sometimes people mess it up. Not Stack's. It was also delicious. I can say this is the first visit to Stacks in Waxhaw that I was disappointed in their service. Fairly busy Saturday morning but there was a stool at the bar that I found. I sat there for 6, maybe 7 minutes, yes I know this because I sat down at 9, and a few mins later I noticed no one was waiting on me, so I made note of the time when I finally got someones attention and it was 9:07. Sad part is the customer beside me informed me...it looks as if no one is covering the bar,and I may need to flag someone down, which I did. Once I got someone to wait on me everything was good as usual. I'm sharing this review in hopes that it gets to the owner (who was there) or manager that they need to do better, and typically do as we probably average 12-15 times per year eating there. If this would've been my first visit there I may not have gone back for a second one. read more

We called back only because we thought we received the wrong order (it happens a lot) only for the woman to snap and be rude when we were trying to clarify what we were supposed to get. "What do want me to do?" "Hold on. Let me get someone else." "What do want?" We're sick and and we were hungry. But just to be clear, we don't need your business but you need ours. We recently went to Stacks Kitchen for breakfast just to try it out and because we've heard great things about this restaurant. Stacks Kitchen is what you'd expect from a small time restaurant because it does have s small town feel and the people are very nice. The decor and atmosphere is simple, laid back and inviting. The customer service was wonderful and our waitress was very good from beginning to end. To be honest, she was the highlight of our experience. Now to the food, I ordered the Stacks LumberJack plate but substituted the pancakes for waffles which was a great choice. The reason for the three stars is because the egg whites were under cooked, no flavor, the bacon was overcooked and crispy and the biscuit was bland. The waffle was delicious, well made and the star of the breakfast. The portion size is good for the price you pay so you are getting your money's worth. Overall, I was disappointed with the food but to each their own and maybe today was just a bad day for the cook. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine. read more

From me calling in the order to the team bringing it out to my vehicle...this spot has exceptional customer service down to a science. Ms. Sharon the catering manager, personally went above and beyond; texted me a receipt immediately after the ordering, called me the day before to check to see if I had any changes, and even came up from the back just to say hello when I picked up my order. The food was delicious!!! We ordered a large pan of scrambled eggs (creamy & cheesy), small pan of bacon (crisp to perfection), small pan of pancakes (light & fluffy), and small order of French toast (with challah bread)...it was enough to feed 20+. I saw many patrons waiting outside and inside for a table. My order was ready within 15-20 minutes, and the young lady hand delivered my food to me. The hash brown wasn't our favorite dish as we felt it lacked seasoning and flavor. The vegetable omelette could also use a little seasoning and flavor. The pancakes were delicious. The scrambled eggs also lacked seasoning and flavor. The french toast (stuffed and unstuffed) were both delicious. The restaurant was busy. From what I understand that is normal. It took us a while to get a seat. That is a good sign. I ordered a Southern Sunrise breakfast. Chicken fingers with country gravy, eggs, hashbrowns and a biscuit. Mom ordered eggs, bacon and a bowl of grits. Grandma ordered eggs and grits. Grandpa ordered a waffle with walnuts, bananas and whipped cream. Everything came out as ordered. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The grits were creamy. The country gravy was peppery. Used to love this place but they are starting to get a REALLY bad rep from their server Victoria (young blonde, working counter). She constantly is inappropriate and has pursued several married men....leading to more than 2 divorces. I've even witnessed her on more than three occasions dipping down below the counter to take phone calls yo schedule hooking up with guys when she gets off her shift. It's more than appalling and the foul language use is completely unprofessional with her male customers, no matter how well she goes them or how often they come in.
