Visited Stacked back in January and they were quite packed so we decided to do takeout. We ordered three types of pancakes, a skillet and hot chocolate. I was nervous bc they weren't wearing mask but, we didn't get Covid so I digress, but note. The food looked and smelled amazing and tasted even better. One of the best breakfasts I've had and they def have IHOP beat except for the hot chocolate. Don't waste your time on the hot chocolate (water based/flavorless). The red velvets pancakes were my favorite and tasted perfectly rich and chocolaty. The lemon blueberry could have used more glaze and the strawberry cream cheese were monstrous and delicious. I'll only say it could have used chilled strawberries to off play the warmth of the pancakes and gooey cream cheese. My absolute favorite part was the Irish Skillet. It was so good. The egg had to be steamed with how perfectly soft and fluffy it was and the Hollandaise sauce was immaculate and addictive. The hash tasted like fresh cut potatoes and the sausage tasted fresh as well. Finally tried this place. I would put it at about IHOP level. Decent food, probably pretty reliable and fast service. I ordered the egg combo with two specialty pancakes. I liked that you could upgrade for a few bucks. I got the salted caramel. They were nice and thick but texture wise weren't melt in your mouth or anything. The toppings looked great but were lacking in flavor... I'd give them a 6.5/10. I got egg whites which were butter drenched, so make sure to tell them to go light on that if it's a concern but still good and the ham side was HUGE and tasty. The breakfast potatoes though were super lacking. No flavor, not crispy. Meh. Overall, if I wanted quick breakfast in the area I would probably try a different specialty pancake but not dying to go back. read more

The apple cinnamon French toast lacked flavor and tasted like bacon, as if it was cooked on the same grill. However the Ole omelette was delicious. This place is so cute! It's small and there is apparently always a wait time of about 30 minutes. However, the wait was totally worth it! I had the Greek soup (which was ok, would probably skip next time) and the chicken n waffles! I can't believe how delicious they were! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive to our needs. A few months back I was browsing through the Suburban Foodie's instagram page and saw her photos from Stacked of Oaklawn. I made my way over this afternoon. There was a nice little brunch crowd going on and waited about 35 minutes for a table for two (I brought my mama with me.) Our server Tritri was a doll, so friendly and pretty much sold me on the Parfait French Toast. I am not really a French Toast kind of guy but this order would change anyone's mind, I loved every bite. Just the right amount of crunchy granola, Greek yogurt and berries. Their jumbo sausage links were plump and juicy, rather a meal in itself. Stacked is open 7 days a week 6AM-3PM offering homemade soups daily. Their lunch menu has a great variety of paninis, burgers, chicken sandwiches, italian beef, monte cristos and more! Parking lot available in back for you out of town folks :) I clearly will need to make more visits to experience the large menu. See ya next time. read more

Stacked is the BEST breakfast place in Oak Lawn and Crestwood. Everything on the menu is superb. We have been going there since Tom and his wife opened up. We have tried most of the menu and my son and his wife come in from Pittsburgh a few times a year and we visit Stacked and they love it, too. You will, too. OakLawn Location: I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service this restaurant gave with special attention to the terrible attitude and service the owner Christina displayed. I asked for hard scrambled eggs and they brought me wet and runny. I asked for the eggs to be replaced with an omelette and instead they recooked my eggs until they were brown. The waitress told me they didn't want to waste food. The owner finally came out and told me that she solved my problem and we calmly explained that we asked for an omelet and not my eggs recooked. She became loud and started over talking my mother (black woman) and proceeded to tell her "you are being aggressive over a breakfast" when she in fact is the one causing the frustration. If you would have seen the eggs they brought out, you wouldn't even feed it to a dog. This whole situation caused me to lose my appetite and I did not eat the rest of any of my food. I definitely don't recommend eating here! If I can give negative stars I would. To make my disappointment very clear, I downloaded Yelp just to make this review. This place is fantastic! While visiting family in Worth, our family decided to eat here. It took us about 45 minutes to get a table, but the wait was worth it. I had the Red Velvet Pancakes (come on, it was New Years Eve!) and they were absolutely incredible! They were warm and very thick. I had the larger stack (five pancakes) and ate them all! What's better than a birthday breakfast?! Birthday breakfast at Stacked, that's what!!! My man and I went here for his birthday breakfast (even though I was the one that really wanted to go here... such an amazing man I have!) We walked into Stacked somewhat early, and of course there was a wait -- not too bad though, just 20mins. Not quite sure how long we waited exactly, but we got to our table fairly quickly and our server came over immediately taking our drink order. We ordered fresh-squeezed orange juice, and tried to figure out what to eat. I opted for a simple meal: eggs, bacon, and I subbed the regular pancakes for red velvet pancakes (do it, it's oh so very worth it!!!), and my boyfriend actually got the Stacked Club sandwich (so I guess we had birthday brunch, since I got breakfast and he got lunch, lol). Needless to say, our meal was finger-licking good! And I couldn't wait to get to the red velvet pancakes... It's been so long since I've had such amazingly fluffy, warm and delicious pancakes with cream cheese frosting... Mmm. My mouth is watering just writing this review and reminiscing about the deliciousness of this meal. Now, while the food looks very appetizing my tastebuds wasn't feeling the "oooo this is great!" And to make matters worse I found a small whisker in my food. We were in town for a show and stopped into this tasty spot for some breakfast and signature pancakes. We got the chorizo omelette, strawberry and cream cheese pancakes, biscuits and gravy and the cinnamon roll pancakes. The omelette came with fresh pico de gallo and sour cream plus hash browns. So tasty and filling. Everyone enjoyed their food. My 8 year old enjoyed it all a little too much and eventually suffered the consequences of eating as much as a couple of linebackers. So... Their food is delicious and given in generous portions. Be prepared to wait, but that's kind of expected since it is so good and popular. My favorites are: Stuffed French toast- a plethora of fruit! Seriously, it's loaded with fresh fruit. Also, it doesn't get too soggy from the stuffed portion due to how they later it. Multigrain pancakes- my mom ordered them and I thought they would be kind of boring but they were fantastic! Down Home Skillet- the sausage has enough flavor/spice but isn't overpowering. (I don't do too spicy). The sausage gravy is perfect and didn't need any extra pepper. It also came on shredded potatoes which was a nice surprise. They do need some better coffee though. After having subpar food, there was a 3.99 service fee for the use of a credit card which is much higher than the fee charged to the merchant and not disclosed until at the register. Randomly came across this when I was driving down 95th. It was packed, so I figured it must be good. As the name entails, their main thing is pancakes. My sister got the strawberry pancakes And the smell of them was just amazing. Following the primal diet, I'm not supposed to eat pancakes but I had to try it since that's their main attraction. The waitress happily greeted us, which I appreciated because their attitude can really make your experience better. The other thing I noticed is the staff worked as a team, even the manager. He participated in seating and cleaning. He wasn't one of those annoying managers dictating from afar. I ordered a Lemon Greek soup, an Irish skillet and toast. The soup was creamy and delicious. It warmed my stomach, and (at the time) my stomach was feeling ill. It made me feel a lot better. Then, I had room for the Irish skillet. I came here with a bunch of friends that I hadn't seen in a few years for a Sunday brunch. I found it on Yelp and it did not disappoint! We had a party of 6, 2 of us got there early to put our names in because the line gets long for Sunday brunch and they do not take reservations. They got a table ready for us and held it until our whole party was there so we got seated right away which was really nice! The service was great! The hostess was really nice our waitress was equally as great! Our food came out fast and it was EXCELLENT! If I could give this place 6 stars I would! All 6 of us really enjoyed our meal! They allowed us to split up our check which was also very nice. The food was fresh with great flavor, presentation was awesome but more importantly flavor was fantastic. Healthy is not the word I would use to describe the food here, but delicious is! I don't live in the Chicago area but when/if I'm ever back I would make it a point to come back here! I was anticipating coming to Stacked based on the 4 star Yelp review average. Needless to say I am disappointed in my first experience at the restaurant today. The space is smaller than I realized. And for a Friday morning, the 30 minute wait was a bit much. They sat us in a tiny, little corner for our meal. The menu is decent however they do not serve grits. The food was just OK. I ordered the Olé Skillet with pancakes. Note: The skillet only comes with pico de gallo and there's no salsa in the restaurant which I feel like could have been beneficial to the skillet. However, I did like the fact that they had chicken chorizo that I was able to substitute instead of regular chorizo for no price differential. And the tortilla chips and hash browns were extremely delightful. Unfortunately, the pancakes were severely dry and adding syrup didn't help much. Overall, I'm not saying that I wouldn't go back.
