LOVE Stacked! Consistently we have good service. Food is always great. I am always admiring the plates around me thinking - oh I should get that next time! But then I get the same thing each visit - the florentine crepes! It's hard to find a savory crepe in this area and it keeps me coming back, its delicious! Huge portions - 3 crepes and a side of hash browns (which I order extra crispy!). I take half home to eat the next day. My daughter is a pancake fan and she has the kids short stack. First time there . They don't enforce the mask wearing for customers that I have seen come in and out . Social distancing doesn't not apply there. The waiting area was grounds and seats are close to each other. The person that puts you on the waiting list wore his mask under his nose, but The food was really good though. All is excellent here with a variety of menu coming. Orange juice, plain waffle darker, eggs medium. dark red potato chunks, ham off-bone. The ham thing have not seen prior. Sounds cool though! Pretty wow foods here. Mine and other tables also. My ham was thick cut and flavorful better than most. I didn't like potato thing but eggs and waffle sure just right same as ham. Can you deliver my mom some food? Seriously, this was the best restaurant in Chicago according to my mom. And we visited every iconic place, such as Potillos, Lou Malnati's, Giordianos, Cold Stone Creamery, and Cheesecake factory. Yet, none of those places compared to Stacked. Exacty one week ago, my family and I ate breakfast here before hopping into the jungle that is downtown Chicago. We didn't go early in the morning either. Leaving, our wait time forty-five minutes to an hour, but we didn't care after the fresh, hot plates arrived. Here's a fair warning. The building is sitting on the corner of two other places. And as a person with anxiety in small locations, holding large amounts of people, normally I would have been too discouraged to chew, yet I loved the atmosphere. Just be prepared to take a buzzar and wait outside the front doors or in your car. The wait time was exactly what was promised. Then, when we were seated, our server, I don't remember her name... took good care of us by giving us decaf and regular refills, then we received our food in no time. The beast breakfast place in Oak Lawn! The Oak Lawn location is pretty small but I don't feel squished. Unless you get there before 8 am you are going to wait for a table. Even during the week! I think they are worth the wait! The skillets are awesome, they have a huge selection of amazing pancakes, and the lunch menu is also great! The staff is super nice and they keep the coffee coming. So glad to have found this place! We ate a similar concept breakfast place in Houston and have been on the search for something to be close to that experience! This place has one of a kind types of breakfast options and great food! I recommend anything! We had eggs ( omelet to be exact) which was great fluffy made just right- had pancakes and waffles both exceeded expectation. Reason for not the full 5 stars- the menu can be a bit overwhelming and when I asked the waitress whats the most popular items she said its really up to you and your likes. Which I get but at the rate that you see us willing to buy practically one of everything help guide us a bit its obvious we aren't picky we are willing to try things. Also- I hope their success sets them up with a larger facility and possibly better waiting area and some better training on customer service for both cashier and waitresses. we will be back because the food was AMAAZING ! read more
