Crowded but we parked right up front, got on the list and eased out to wait in the comfort of our car. App updates ran accurate and we were seated in a perfect location. Our server JT (according to the ticket) was super cool and put us at ease as first timers and offered some great suggestions. I had the cathead chicken biscuit, well half but the second half went down later at home. We split the coffee cake and Mrs scooped up a Creole omelette. Food was everything it could be and more. Oh, I almost forgot the added blueberry jam I put on the coffee cake, and after the ride home the cake soaked up the blueberry jam liquid, OMG let's just say that's how it should be served. All in all a great experience piloted by our capable server and guaranteed with nice size portions of really good food. This is on the rotation now.

We were floored by the robust flavor of each of the homemade gravies. They have a tomato gravy, a sausage gravy, and a redeye gravy. The texture of the gravy was not too thick and none of them were greasy. We each ate a plate of homemade biscuits and in-house made gravy. Although the biscuits and gravy seem like a small serving, the dish is really an adequate meal. Overall, the flavor of the food and the friendliness of the staff solidified our making this restaurant our breakfast place when we visit Mobile.

I do love that their onions are diced and the pickles were good. The sweet and spicy bbq sauce was good as well. The bread is a 10/10. The Mac n cheese didn't have enough flavor to me so I would try something different I would go back and tweak my order

Came here Sunday May 3rd around 1pm. Was busy but not completely full where you had to wait for a table. We sat down and waited for our server to take our order. It took our server about 20 mins to come over and take our order. So we put in our food order when the server came by to take our drink order. Food took about 40 mins from when we ordered to when we got our food. I used to work in restaurants (the busiest of restaurants) and know that you should staff more, prep more, and place larger food orders in anticipation of being fully booked friday night till sunday night. I ordered gumbo. My niece got biscuits and gravy. The gumbo was pretty good except would have liked the roux a little thicker. The gravy on the biscuits was lacking in flavor. My friend ordered a Colorado breakfast, which is some kind of huge omelette plus pancakes, and I ordered some fruit crepes. I wasn't as thrilled as I wanted to be. I think they were made correctly, just not using the high quality ingredients that higher end restaurants would use. The resulting textures are kind of sad. I won't order that again. I've always been happy with the quality of the omelettes at IHOP, I think they toss a little batter in the eggs for fluffiness (is that a word, well, you know what I mean), and the results are fine. My friend was happy with his Colorado... Our server is a real professional with good service experience that shows. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The parking lot was so packed I wonder if some people are parking from nearby businesses.

Today I ordered fried pork chop, candied yams, loaded potato salad, collard greens, banana pudding, and blackberry cobbler (was told it was blueberry)! The pork chop tasted ok, cold but ok. The candied yams were out of the can with a bitter sweetness of honey or syrup, I truly could not identify. They were too bitter to enjoy. The greens were tough and seasoned with some type of hot sauce that took away from the natural taste of homecooked greens. The loaded potato salad, well....just stay away. Cobbler was just down right disgusting as in not even edible. The banana pudding was pudding out of the can with black bananas and soggy nilla wafers. This was my first order and will be my last one. However, if their cafe lasts for any length of time and I see plenty of patrons, I may be willing to try again but that will be no time soon.
