Stumbled upon Stable Cafe on Instagram and could tell it was a vibe. We visited a week or so later and was immediately taken in back the rich, rustic ambiance. The lush, green plants, lovely outdoor patio, and wall art felt like a cozy afternoon in the City. Betty and Ren took excellent care of us and both were very personable. The banana bread was delicious but that kale cesar salad? OMG! Every single element sent the taste and sensory buds into overdrive. Taste, texture, temperature..all the things 10's across the board. Hoping against hope the kale Cesar is not a seasonal item, it's absolutely amazing. Thank you, Betty and Ren!
Such a beautiful spot to enjoy coffee and some food. Came here with a friend in warmer weather and we both enjoyed our time here. We got a few drinks to try. This is mainly a garden cafe as most of the seats are outside, with just a few seats inside and lots of plants, trees surrounding the premise. I felt like we were transported into a secret garden. Magical. Service efficient. Located on Folsom and 17th St.
I've been wanting to check out Stable Cafe for a while now but unfortunately chose a cold, windy Saturday to stop by with a couple of friends. We ordered coffee and breakfast food to try and I got a cappuccino along with the coconut chia pudding. Loved the strong cappuccino and the chia pudding was a great choice for a lighter breakfast. The housemade jam is great and gives the creamy coconut chia a nice tartness. There is a cute greenhouse patio seating area with a fireplace but unfortunately even with the fire and a more covered area, it was a bit cold to sit outside and we had to duck to another coffee shop after an hour. The patio is really such a nice place to enjoy good weather though and I'll have to be back to really take it in.
Such a cute spot! Came here at 11am on a Sunday, and there wasn't a short line that went by quick. The line definitely gets longer after that. Parking is a lil hard to find, so defs come early or do a rideshare. I was so happy the weather is nice when I went with my friend, so we were able to sit outside. Outside is very spacious with several seating, perfect for an event space as well! I ordered the Korean Chicken Sandwich, which was pretty good! The iced oat latte was decent as well. I would love to come back for brunch!
Very cute cafe to study, work, or catch up with a friend. They have cute cups and plates when you eat in. Lots of plants and the bread is top tier. I sat inside which has pretty limited seating, but I got to peek outside briefly and it looks like there's a lot more plants and seating.
Huge outdoor seating area, great when it's warm! In addition, there is also greenhouse patio seating area with fireplace that is occasionally open. Saturday morning is pretty busy. Order at counter, seat yourself, and food will come when ready. The latte ($6) was very very hot, somewhat hard to carry to table since it was in a glass cup. The coffee had strong flavor. Smooth texture with enough foam. The breakfast sandwich ($14) was a great option: fluffy eggs, ham, and cheese on a toasted sesame. It was super cheesy, if you check out my photo. Overall, a good space to hangout with friends, but it does get cold if you're seating outside during cold weather.
3.5 round up to 4. Trying to find a cafe to do somework and seeing how cute and aesethic place this is, my friends and I decide to come here. DISCLAIMER- NO WIFI. ( we used our hotspot) Street parking is easy which is so nice in SF. The interior and outdoor area is SO NICEEEE. Plenty of seating. This is also a nice spot to catch up with ppl too. For the food/drinks, we got the breakfast burrito and the chive cheese scone which are both delicious. The matcha latte is not good, the vanilla latte is alright. I would just come back for the food and vibes tbh.
Came here few weeks ago with two friends. Parking was a little bit hard in the area on a weekday but luckily I was able to manage to find one. Love the vibe of this place. You have the outdoor patio for you to enjoy your yummy food & coffee. I had the matcha latte & Turkey Avocado sandwich. Matcha latte was delicious. The turkey sandwich also was pretty good. Nothing special but good. Overall we had a good experience and would love to come back to try something else!
Stopped by Stable Cafe - really nice outdoor space with lots of plants, super relaxing vibe. Got the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles, both were pretty decent. Perfect spot for a chill coffee and morning meal.
I was waiting for an appointment nearby and decided to grab the nearest coffee - saw this place. Inside is beautiful! Large big door. Plants. Upstairs lounge area, and a wonderful outside area. Lots of room for a coffee shop. I was tempted to get something off the food menu, looked amazing, but just got a cappuccino to go. Lots of options beverage and food wise (seriously need to try their food next time I go, some of their stuff looks very creative). . Cappuccino was delicious and gorgeous. Great interior and exterior. Plenty of seating. Good service. Great place to lounge about and have a morning sip or a cafe breakfast I'd say. I'll be back in the area in a couple weeks of this review, so glad to know it's around.
The food and coffee were both delicious. My friends and I sat on the back patio and it was cute and shady. I would reccomend getting there early for the weekends because the line got long!
I met some friends for coffee and a little bite for lunch. Located in the mission, stable café offers a variety of coffee, breakfast items, and sandwiches. I was blown away by how much outdoor space they have, we even got a spot near a fireplace outside. There is inside seating, a couple tables in a "terrace", and a bench on the main level. Everyone was very friendly and the food came out pretty promptly. I got a latte, I like the quality of coffee they used. It was very hot and delicious. I wish I got a pastry, but I guess that's for next time! I got the Korean chicken sandwich, which comes with spicy chicken, pickled raddish, cabbage slaw, and mayo. I appreciate the little side pickle slices as well. The chicken was perfectly seasoned perfectly cooked, I really enjoyed the sandwich. I wish I got two since I just went to the gym before lunch. Stable a little pricey, but that's just San Francisco. I really enjoyed my time here, because of the space a lot of people are able to join in and stay a little while. It's a good spot for a yap!

Really cute cafe with a huge outdoor courtyard with ample seating shaded by lovely trees, we came here on a Saturday and it was busy but not packed. I had the salmon lox tartine, which was delicious. Would highly recommend spending a relaxing morning here! read more

Due to the pandemic, I will be removing criteria that I had added to my reviews, such as restaurant ambience, mood, and wait time. This review will only focus on the dish. Quick Summary: - Beautiful and cozy cafe - A short walk from the 16th BART station - Receiving orders vary by what you ordered: drinks - your name will be called; food will be delivered to you Lots of seats outside the cafe - Coffee is nutty and refreshing - Once eating, place your dishes into a bin that is found in the courtyard We visited the cafe around lunch time, so the courtyard area was almost filled with guests. Friend and I ordered a drink and a lunch plate. I ordered the first thing that caught my mind, and I was curious to try: the pomba. For coffee, it was a warm day in SF, so I ordered the iced latte. We ordered in a style, that the staff combined our menu and would only call my friend. However, we received the tag number to place where we sit. Later, we learned that they call out our name for coffee and drinks, and will deliver the food. Not sure if this was the usual method, but the coffee was called first, and then the food was delivered. Noticed that while my friend got their dish, mine took some time to arrive. Again, as stated in the first message, wait time isn't going to affect the overall waiting time. Plus, it was probably only a couple minutes of waiting, and that went by chatting with my friend. The area, where I will be lowering a star to 4 is the coffee. The iced latte was refreshing and nutty - strong too. The only downside was that the drink started to water down due to the ice. It became almost like drinking water near the end of my meal. My friend, who had the hot cappuccino, said it was pretty good, so I suggest ordering hot drinks over cold for the coffees. The pomba was a unique and delicious dish. It's was an egg in a hole with crispy bacon and brie cheese on top. The side of fruit was sweet and soft to the bite; a perfect and simple dessert to have on a warm day. There was also a cut-out of the hole, and that was my favorite piece. Probably because I have a huge love of butter, so that tasted really good. I'm not a fan of bacon, but this one I was able to eat. It was crispy but it still retained its flavor and not heavily coated with smoke scents. If you're a fan of brie, the large slab of it was a wonderful touch. Overall, it was a good experience for photos and food. read more

Stable Cafe is now easily one of my favorite coffee shops in San Francisco. From a fully sustainable shop, to the delicious sound food with vegan options, and the incredible drinks that are well made. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who loves coffee and wants to enjoy a nice afternoon here. The service was very kind, and they were quick to produce our delicious drinks. I previously worked at a coffee shop for three years, and everything here tasted and looked well sourced. Parking in the area could be difficult so be cautious for that if you are driving. read more

Partner recommend the joint so it was a must. Cashier was great, friendly and helpful. Got the fried egg sandwich with bacon and a peach and strawberry agua fresco. I was a little underwhelmed by the sandwich when it came out. I thought For 13 dollars I probably could've made myself the sandwich every day for a week if I hit up Aldi's BUT!! then that lemon aoli hit. Could I make myself a lemon aoli? Yeah probably but would it be this good? Probably not. And I don't think I would've ever thought to put it on my breakfast. And the agua fresca????? My god. One of the best drinks I've ever had. The outside dining area was also very cozy although the fruit falling off the trees gave me a little scare on the plus side free fruit! If I was too tired to make breakfast myself or just wanted a little morning treat this would definitely be it. read more

This place is a great brunch spot for weekends. I don't like how long the lines are on the weekend and it takes forever to get your order unless you get standard coffee. Many locals seem to stop by here. It is a perfect place to study, work, or catch up. It is also perfect for larger groups. I ordered their drip coffee and it is standard. Not sure what beans they use. They have a lot of drink options that range from reasonable to pricey. Their outdoor seating is so spacious and decorated beautifully. If you opt to stay in, there are a lot of pretty plants inside with limited seating options. I think that this spot is a solid brunch and coffee spot if you wanted to catch up with a friend or large group. read more

A cute and cozy cafe with a lovely little outdoor seating area! It has a cute little open-concept garage area where you can order and then an open-air garden patio. It's the perfect spot to spend an afternoon! You grab a number and they bring the food out -- when you're done, just bus your own table. I got the avocado toast and was surprised to see that it came with a perfectly! jammy! egg and fruits as well. The bread was SO good and not too pricey either. The vibes here are lovely, would love to come back soon! read more

Loved the ambiance here so much! There's a well lit indoor section with ground floor and upstairs seating as well as a beautiful outdoor area with picnic table seating. Friendly for all: friends looking to chat or folks looking for some alone time. Matcha latte was ok, a bit diluted/heavy on the milk. The breakfast burrito was great though and the chipotle salsa was delicious! read more
Came here this weekend for a morning bite and had a delightful time! From the food to the ambiance indoors and out, everything was great. We got 2 pastries, a breakfast burrito and 2 cappuccinos. I recognized the pastries from Kahnfections which influenced me to get their amazing dill and Swiss biscuit and we also got a great mochi muffin. This was my first time getting a breakfast burrito here and I'd definitely come back, the burrito was stuffed with fillings! read more

Absolutely adorable place!! Seating is mostly all outdoors but that's the best part of it! So much greenery and cute plants! Food is also tasty, and service is fast even on a Sunday morning. I think it'll become one of my fav go to spots. Just can't beat the vibes! read more
Such a cute spot in the Mission with an incredible outdoor patio! This place is perfect for a light brunch, coffee with a friend, or for some reading. The line moves quickly and there is plenty of seating. Four stars for the patio vibes and three stars for food. I ordered a cortado and breakfast burrito, which were both solid but nothing spectacular. I'd come again for coffee, but would probably go elsewhere for a breakfast bite. read more

Stable Cafe is tucked away on Folsom, but it should not be missed as it's perfect for a casual dog-friendly brunch spot. I've ordered the Sweet Potato Tartine twice and it's never disappointed. The menu is a bit limited, but they have perfected what they serve. I'd highly recommend a cappuccino to start your meal before you grab a table in the garden. One note: service is limited, as you order at the counter. read more
such a cute spot!! there's indoor seating at the top and then the outdoor seating that I've been seeing everywhere that I knew I had to check it out. great atmosphere to either read a book and eat breakfast (like I did) but even fun to take friends and just sit and vibe outside and enjoy yummy food! the matcha latte was okay, a little foamy and not as flavorful as a lot of the matchas I've had (very particular about my matcha) but I enjoyed the luna (breakfast bagel basically). just wish they added a little more blueberries and other pieces of fruit on the side, haha! read more
Great service and ambience here at Stable cafe. I love the outside patio section that makes you feel like you're in the most sweet and quaint garden in a backyard. The sun was out today and there was more than enough tables that had shade and also in the sun. Food was perfectly portioned and very tasty. I loved the arugula salad. Most of the things off the menu we liked were from the specials of the day. I can't wait to go back to this cafe! read more

Quick service, outside area is really nice, a good place to get work done. Breakfast burrito was really good, chipotle sauce was great. I wish it had avocado or bell peppers or something though, especially for $11. The chai tasted a little watered down but still good. Lovely place :) read more

What an incredibly gorgeous place to grab a good cup of coffee. The outside patio is beautiful and lush with plants. Unfortunately, there's no WiFi - otherwise I'd be here all day (probably the point of no WiFi). There's a covered back area with a long dining table and oven. I can only imagine the kind of beautiful outdoor events they hold here. We were asked to leave early for an event, and when we walked past later it turned out to be a wedding! read more

An exceptional spot. I happened to walk by and wandered into an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The people who work here seem to genuinely enjoy it, and I immediately felt like a friend. I'm a matcha enthusiast, and the matcha here was perfect! I also ordered the torta vegano - delicious. I sat in the loft and watched regulars and new comers alike be come in and greeted warmly. I can't wait to come back on my next trip to SF. read more

All I can say is YUMMY! The plants in the cafe are so cute, and the outside is even more adorable. It's actually quite an ample space! I got fortunate and came on a weekend when no one else was here, so I had my pick for seating! I have come back since, and it has been packed every time, so coming here earlier than later is better. I ordered the matcha latte with soy milk and a chocolate croissant. I was expecting your run-of-the-mill pastry and matcha, but I was pleasantly surprised! The matcha was delicious. I think of it all the time! The chocolate croissant was also perfect. Not overly sweet, with an excellent ratio of chocolate and pastry dough. Flakey, buttery, delicious! read more

Okay drinks but a lovely ambiance, with outdoor and loft seating. There was a constant flow of people on the Sunday I was here but there always seemed to be available seating. I'll be honest and admit the three stars is primarily because the person I was with ordered for me and informed me most matcha lattes in SF are hot. I didn't realize this or I would've ordered something else. As for the drink itself, it was beautiful but unsweetened as far as I can tell, and I only really like iced sweetened matcha, cause it masks the flavor of milk. Unfortunately because the hot matcha had a layer of foam and the matcha sank, and I was really just drinking matcha flavored foam and milk. I'm not the hugest fan of the taste of milk, so you can imagine my disappointment. While I didn't enjoy the drink I'd imagine someone who does like hot matcha lattes might, although I see other reviews are similarly mixed. Altogether I could see this place as a good spot to read or study, so although it wasn't right for me, I'd recommend it to others. read more
One of our favorite breakfast spots in the mission! Their patio is the best place to grab you morning coffee, eat some of their wholly food and enjoy the sun. Their selection is wide and everything we have tried so far has been great. The bagel and lox, is perfect. Their yogurt and granola are my favorite. Avocado toast, is one of the best and is priced very fairly. I couldn't recommend this place enough read more
