Best dentist office in the North East. Don't hesitate. This place is amazing. Incredible staff with the kindest energy and incredible Dentists. Clean and beautiful office with the highest of tech. I have had awful dentists in the past and have a ton of anxiety when doing anything with my teeth- St Marks has changed that! I feel so taken care of and know they have my best interests in mind. The community of Crown Heights is so lucky to have them. Tell your friends. Bring your kids. This place is awesome. And yes I'm saying this about a DENTIST! read more

I went o this office from 8/2025-9/2026 for dental implants. The front desk staff was very nice. However, Dr. Uchitelev Vsevolod was the dentist who inserted implants to my upper gums. He explained all the details of the implant process. He will used screws to hold the new teeth onto the implants. Several images and x-ray was done during the course of the year to make sure I will end up best natural-looking teeth for me. On one of my office visits he did not offer any kind of pain management, even though he saw that I was in severe pain while he was doing an alignment. The final day of the implant procedure, He was suppose to used screws with my new teeth. While I was under sedation Dr. Uchitelev cemented a larger wider teeth to my implants. I have a noticeable overbite. I was disappointed in what he did. He did not keep his word. read more

Very terrible dental office. Awful service. I called off of work for this appointment, which is a big deal for teachers. We don't take very many days. I booked this appointment over the phone using information I got from my insurance company. After I booked, I never heard from them again. They don't send email confirmations nor information about time or location. When I get there no one answers the door. I searched through me email for a confirmation, that's when I realized there never was one. I went back to where I found them originally and called that number. They changed their location. I asked why I hadn't gotten any confirmation and the receptionist said she called me many times. I felt bad thinking I missed them. The call got "disconnected" -- probably hung up on me. I went through weeks of calls after I got off the phone and there was nothing. No voicemail from any dental office. I called back and mentioned how we got disconnected and explained I never received a call. But she said that she removed my appointment, that it's not their responsibility to make sure their insurance companies know their addresses, and there was nothing to do and that she could only book it for another day. Why would I want to book here again? They don't communicate with their insurance companies and they don't communicate with their clients. I wasn't getting the vibe that they actually care about clients and I would never book again at a place where I'm not treated well. read more

3 rd review .. You know what I appreciate mostly is Accountability, I had a slight appointment misunderstanding with st marks painless dental office and I left Determined not to return . When I got home I received a call from the office front Desk staff Rectifying the issue which went well. This place is Clean .the staff are super friendly, the doctor smells good lol . I overheard doctor Pfizer speaking with multiple staff and it was pleasing to the ear how he Communicated with them . I get a sense of Family in this building . I like this dental office and I'm glad I don't have to switch ,it's one of the most comfortable Dental establishments I have ever visited . I feel as though people who have had issues with the office simply lack communication skills ,sometimes people need to breathe and use positive words and not always be demanding. As a young heavily Tattooed black male ,I was treated like a person ..like a customer and I appreciated that. I'm happy with My doctor and front desk staff simple amazing business and Beautiful people. My recommendation is to check this place out yourself, and then come back to Yelp and you would understand . Hey ... I'm painless now ! Thank you read more

This place is a joke. No AC. I left after sitting in the waiting room for an hour with no updates or apologies. Terrible customer service. Never again. read more

The only reason this isn't getting 1 star is because the ladies that I interacted with were very pleasant. A few weeks ago, I found this office through my dental insurance provider's network and gave them a call. The lady that I spoke with on the phone, though friendly enough, didn't seem to know about my insurance, so I did some more research. I found out that my plan was provided through United Concordia (in-network) so I called back to inform the office so I could proceed with scheduling my appointment. Unsure if the doctor(s), the staff, or both are misinformed about their network status with my insurance, but they gave me erroneous information about being out of network with the provider. Because I knew my plan would cover my costs, I scheduled something weeks in advance for today's date (06/07/21). I was told upon scheduling that I would receive a reminder about the appointment (I never did). The morning of, I decide to give them a call to let them know I'd be running a few minutes behind because of work. No one picked up after about 4 calls. I finally arrive at the office to a locked door, but one of the staff members opens the door looking very confused to see me there. I explain to her that I should have an appointment for 10 AM. She then proceeds to tell me that someone should have called me to cancel the appointment and that they aren't working today (for some sort of session, she said). While she was apologetic, the complete lack of correspondence from the initial booking to the day of the appointment meant that I unnecessarily missed time from work and wasted money on a ride share to make the appointment. She asked me to call back to reschedule, but I'm not inclined to do so since my whole experience with this office has been a series of misinformation and miscommunication. read more

I have been a patient of St Marks dental for a few yrs well. The dentists are really good. My insurance don't work with this practice but I have slot of money here. Last procedure was a root canal and a cap.. low and behold my tooth became loose and the whole thing came out.... the dentist saw me and cemented it... it's has been fine for 10 months... last night I realized it's loose again. I have a flight out the country you would think after paying out of my pocket they will care.. No they don't. I called and explained that it needs to be cemented again and I'm traveling and lady said sorry we bz... another day.. like 5 mins for u to just seal it so I can fly.. it's in front of my month. I won't be coming back.. all that money I spend there and that's the Service your staff gave.. terrible. read more

Another One-Star. Unfortunately scheduling a time with this place is near impossible. I've had three scheduled appointments cancelled on me. Two months ago I called to schedule an appointment for today (March 12) and 3:45. They called me to confirm it was 2:45. When I called to clarify they had already booked over the time I needed and the next appointment is now not until May. This is for a cleaning. I will find another dentist. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars only because I have not had work done. The doctor was not able to do my root canal because I was extremely sensitive to the drill, although i had received iv sedation. The doctor and his staff was extremely patient and kind. I will be back for the doctor to do other work. read more

I confess. I haven't been to a dentist in over 7 years. This was also my 7 year olds first dental visit and I must say St. Marks Painless Dental is AMAZING. They were all so kind, patient and friendly. My daughter and I both loved it. But I must make a special mention to Dental Hygienist, Stephanie. She has the lightest touch and friendliest personality. I made another appointment for 6 months and look forward to coming back. Thank you Stephanie. You're the best. read more

I have been a patient at this office since last Spring. Unfortunately I have poor teeth and tend to need a lot of work done. I had a toothache the night before and called the St. Marks Painless Dental early this morning hoping that they would see me. The office said they would call me back. By 3pm I had not heard back from the office so I called them only to be told the dentist couldn't see me. I asked the person I spoke to why no one had at least called me so I could find another dentist to treat me . I had been in pain and had taken the day off from work on order to seek treatment. The person apologized and said they had just came into the office. The fact that they would leave a patient in pain is really disturbing. That has never happened to me with any other dentist I have used. read more

I want to be very honest these unscrupulous business practices by the dentist's office are horrendous. I put a down payment on Invisalign braces on April 8, 2021 I did a fitting for them however I never received them, later when I asked about them no one at that office had a right answer. It was three months ago from the day. Naturally, I asked the money to be refunded back onto my credit card however the doctor wanted to write me a personal check. Be careful. read more

This office does NOT look as it is pictured here, this is a fake picture. There is narrow hall of dark hall of steps that you must walk up in order to get into practice. There are thugs who hang around the practice, the customer service from front desk staff is so so and the dentist who I got a root canal and cap from gave me a completely different attitude when the cap broke after 6 months. Avoid this place. read more

I am obsessed with this place. Everybody knows me and when I walk in the secretary signs me in without even asking my name. Stephanie has been cleaning my teeth for years and she is so careful and thorough I couldnt ask for any better. When I get a filling by the doc he is super careful and double checks everything. I've been to dentists everywhere, suburbs, city, abroad, and this place is the best. I never feel like I'm being ripped off, neglected or undervalued which I can say has happened to be at other places. The wait might get to be long sometimes but that's because they are doing a thorough with whoever they are working on. read more

Update, again Saturday 16th of May I call the dentist to report my pain and swelling and the right away the unprofessional person on the end of the line immediately announces that I would NOT be getting any pain medication. I said I still need him to take a look and see if there's an infection or something. She repeats that I would not be given any pain meds. I said what does this have to do with...I call you for help after a procedure and you treat me like a pill popping junkie? I didn't ask for meds I asked for the dr to look at the site. I then told them I'll be going to some place professional and hung up. They tried to call me back right away after insulting me. I didnt answer. How dare this woman?! I'm a patient, NOT a junkie. read more

I came here for a regularly scheduled appointment to find out they deleted it and had no appointments available. This is the second time they've done this to me. Then they lied and said they called to confirm and I received absolutely no call from them. Unprofessional and unsatisfactory service at its best! Definitely switching dentist offices! read more

My son chipped his permanent front tooth really bad, today, and Dr. P was able to see him and take care of that tooth. When Dr. P was done, it looked like nothing ever happened. Everyone at the office is friendly not to mention how clean the office is and the high tech digital X-rays are impressive. Seeing the X-rays on screen made it so much easier to understand. The office manager is really nice too, she explained and answer all my concerns. Overall I was very happy with my visit and glad they were able to take care of my son, today. He was happy too! Thank you!!! read more

I had the worst time finding a competent dentist that takes my insurance ... went to three other offices and ran out of each in fear for my life ... until I met these folks! They are kind, explain everything, the office is clean, I never have to wait long and I'm in peace! They are great! Highly recommend especially if your in-network options are limited. So blessed I found them! read more

I've been visiting St Mark's Painless Dental for 2 years now and love it, so much so that I pay out of pocket to go here (they're not expensive, it's just that DC37 is that stingy). The staff is beyond friendly, very responsive and happy to take their time with you. Stephanie, the dental hygienist, truly embodies the name "painless dental." Never have I had a hygienist who does such a great job without an ounce of discomfort. Now my whole family visits St Mark's Painless Dental, including my 3 year old who looks forward to dipping into the treasure chest on her way out. Highly recommended! read more

Two appointments in, and they FINALLY decide to let me know they don't accept my insurance. I called to verify during the initial phone call and again during the consultation. Nice to know I took off from work unnecessarily, gotta love the professionalism read more

Dr. Vlod of St. Marks Painless Dental is a true professional. I dont write many reviews but I had to do this one. This is a very nice facility, on time, efficient staff, and the dentist is highly skilled with modern technology and equipment. The office is at a great new location in Crown Heights but it is kept so clean and the staff is so accomodating you will feel like you've walked into a state of the art facility. While you are in the dental chair it is truly painless because you are distracted by music the whole time and this is very soothing for scared folks. I was scared when Dr. Vlod told me I needed two root canals but his voice was so calming and he reassured me he would be careful. I also mentioned that I wasnt sure if it was covered but he took his time to research this for me. His dental assistant was great as well. Patient, caring, professional, thorough, I even brought my son and I would not have if my expectations weren't met. Go to Painless Dental Dr. Vlod will take care of you. Minor issues with billing but front desk staff who know me by name as soon as I walk in will resolve this. Happy customer read more

So disappointed in the professionalism of this office. I scheduled an appointment over two months ago for tomorrow. I received a phone call at noon today to confirm said appointment. Then at 5 pm received a phone call that the dentist will not be in and I need to reschedule another appointment to see the dentist. I was offered an appointment FOUR weeks away. The person I spoke to on the phone did not even apologize for the inconvenience or make any attempt to find a solution to get me rescheduled sooner (e.g., phone call if someone no shows/cancels). Truly disgusted in their patient interactions. I understand schedules can change and this has happened before at other offices I go to; however, I was offered appointments rescheduled within ONE week and at least an apology for the inconvenience. This office showed no regard to my time or dental needs. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more
