Environment is very comfortable Dr. Steinbach was the first doctor when I was visiting right after covid ended because I had a root canal during covid that needed a crown. He was very honest with me and told me I would need an implant. It was a very dramatic news for me but they were wonderful. I was referred out to the close by ortho dentist and the came back to get my crown. The entire experience was straight forward and easy. They never tried to upsell me anything. My only issue with this location is the Dental Cleaning. After finishing up the issues with my teeth, I had a dental cleaning and it was extremely painful. I thought it was just normal when I started visiting the Court Side location since it was more convenient for me, Dr. Karpova did my cleaning was literally pain free. I assumed it was cause maybe previously I had dirty teeth This month I did cleaning at this location again since it was convenient and since I been keeping up with all my cleanings it wouldnt be too bad. No, it was very rough and felt rushed. I did not feel comfortable at all. I might try court street again for cleaning, but if its still painful I think I will switching for cleaning. However for other procedures where the actual dentist is working on it, I would absolutely recommend this place.

I am SO thankful for Dr. Hoang after an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Prospect Heights Dental…read more(which you can read all about at their Yelp page). After a practice that didn't take covid seriously, did an unnecessary and COSTLY dental procedure that I am still healing from weeks later, hurting my lip, and being just a complete disorganized disaster, I'm really lucky that my second shot at dentistry was so much better. I prefaced in my last review that I made the mistake of not going to the dentist for a long time - granted, I didn't have insurance for 6 months and then the moment I got insurance, covid happened and I got scared. But still, it's reasonable I had a ton of build up/tartar/gum disease and definitely a wake up call for me. At the last dentist, I was told immediately I needed a root and scaling/deep clean without them even doing the measurement thing on my gums, just x-rays. They did the root and scale on my right side but not my left (only one is done at a time), which has left me weeks later with angry miserable gums, gaps in my teeth I didn't prior have, and cost me $500 out of pocket. When I got to Dr. Hoang, she actually took her time examining my x-rays, my gums, and my mouth to find that 1) the deep clean didn't even deep clean, as I still had a bunch of tartar making my gums even more unhappy and 2) my gums weren't as bad as I had thought, and I didn't even need to do a root and scaling/deep clean on the left side. If I had gone to Dr. Hoang in the first place, I wouldn't be still miserable, with ugly and uncomfortable gaps in my teeth that I literally struggle to talk and eat with, and wouldn't be out $500 as all she did was a regular cleaning for me on the left. My biggest disappointment is I didn't go to her first. On top of that she's super sweet, lets you ask questions, doesn't make you feel bad about your obvious mistakes, and makes sure you fully feel comfortable before she does anything. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in dentistry. The practice is also great!!! Sallie from reception was very pleasant over the phone and email, and I'm not sure if it was her or a different receptionist at the front today, but she was great too. Everyone is wearing masks and taking Covid very seriously. They sent out a covid form the night before and took my temperature when I arrived. And...... last thing, they were playing Death Cab for Cutie when I walked in. As a born and raised Seattleite, this made me so happy :)

I have never had an issue with the fillings since, and they always show great attention to detail in the additional dental work I've needed. I've always had a great experience at this dental studio and always feel well taken care of. Especially coming from a dentist that created so many problems in my mouth. During the pandemic, I stopped going to the dentist and also moved to Long Island. It was two years since I saw someone and I also no longer had the insurance that Boerum Hill Dental took. As soon as I received insurance they took, I came right back to them. It was to my surprise they still remembered me and my family and also remembered the conversations we had. Although they are always booked up I would wait months to get the treatment they give here. You can tell they really care about your health and also have meaningful conversations with you as well as educating you about your teeth health. Every member of their team is amazing and I would continue to go to this Dental Studio for as long as I can. Other things to know: 1. The office is very clean and nice. 2. The waiting area has a few chairs but it doesn't seem like they ever overbook. Im usually always the only one in the waiting room when I arrive. 3. The receptionist is very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. 4. The dentist is amazing and also very knowledgeable and kind. 5. I was told that the procedure would cost $3,600 for all 4 teeth to be removed. When I asked about insurance coverage, I was told by the treatment coordinator that the removal was covered, but the bone graft and membrane was not, and that it was needed in order to prevent infection. Also, I had to pay up front, and so I ended paying $1,800 right then and there, as you know, you should trust your dentist right? Well, it didn't feel right that I should have to pay so much to have a routine procedure, so after some consultation with friends/family, I decided to contact an oral surgeon. I was told that the bone graft and membrane is usually not needed with wisdom teeth, because you do not get implants for wisdom teeth. I called back and asked why I was getting this procedure to be told by the receptionist "we do this procedure for all teeth extractions". At that point I asked for a refund, which I was told I would get. Two weeks pass, no refund. Call again, and again. After the third time I disputed the charge because this should not be that difficult. Went to the oral surgeon and was told the graft was completely unnecessary and even questioned the ethics of mandating every tooth removal have this process. The removal is 100% covered by my insurance with the oral surgeon. To really cap it off, I got a letter in the mail from this office saying they were going to withdraw from my care. Really? I already withdrew because I was being ripped off and couldn't get a refund after multiple requests. Totally lacking in professionalism, and decency. Especially during a time where things are very difficult for most people. Good riddance.
