Burger with blue cheese and grilled mushrooms with a nice stout.

Squirrel's makes the best burgers and fries in Corvallis! Recommend the burger and add blue cheese and grilled mushrooms. Wash it down with a nice stout. Service is good too, sometimes you just have to wait a bit when it's busy. Ambiance is chill.

Burger was very good and the fries had the tavern taste. Not as greasy as one would think, but definitely very tasty. There was a large quantity that filled the plate rather than a calculated measured amount. Atmosphere during the day was also good. Me and the trophy wife could sit and talk normal and not have to yell. The staff was great and very polite. Peter took our order and delivered our drinks and was super great. Price was average, we both ate for $40 and 1 margarita.

Was a busy day at Squirrels, but we were able to sit outside with only a few minutes wait. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Sitting outside seemed like a great idea. Lots of tables available, all clean and ready for guests. It was a sunny afternoon, but by the time we got our food it was raining tumultuously. Still, our table stayed dry and it was actually rather pleasant to watch the rain. The squirrels burger was delicious and cooked to order and the cheesesteak sammich was reported to be "scrumptious". The fries were hot and the beers were cold. All in all a good lunch. I took a star away because the wait time to order was about 15 min. After ordering the food was quick and arrived hot.

Got a pitcher of cider and order of nachos for a quick bite. We all liked the nachos and the server was friendly. Would come back again

Cheese Burger and curly fries

Love this place already! I stopped in at the recommendation of a friend, on a Sunday. They had a little brunch menu and mimosas and I was super excited to see one of my favorite choices - Poutine! The curly fries I'd heard about were just as good as I had hoped, and I cannot wait to try other things in the menu in the future. From the minute we walked in the staff were super friendly and helpful. I recently learned that pre-Covid this was a cash-only place. That is no longer the case and they do accept cards.

Super place in Downtown Corvallis Oregon. A multi level eating and drinking establishment. Check it out!

Eggs, sausage and biscuit.

Unexpectedly surprised. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but we stopped because of the yelp reviews. Convenient stop between our home and the Eugene Airport. On the inside the place is full of personality, history and lots and lots of squirrel art. I found it interesting and fun. You definitely get a feel of local dive bar but in a good way. We were greeted immediately. I ordered a Bloody Mary to sip while I perused the menu. It was delicious but I was disappointed it didn't look anything like the photo I saw on Yelp. I got very little garnish which is half the fun of a Bloody Mary. We were excited we could order breakfast or dinner. My husband was craving a Squirrel burger and I wanted breakfast. The burger was a classic American cheese burger add ham and egg. It was delicious and well rounded. The breakfast I ordered was the show stopper. I got 2 eggs perfectly cooked a hand formed sausage patty and home fried potatoes and a fresh biscuit! Absolutely delicious! The sausage patties seemed house made as well as the biscuit and potatoes. The cook served our breakfast which is a nice touch. My only suggestion is the biscuit should come with butter and jam. The waitress was busy so it took a while to get her attention my husband had to get up to ask the kitchen which felt intrusive. Not a game changer tho we will go back for breakfast very soon.

Go with the curly fries. Do it! For real, your squirrel burger will taste even better for it! One of my favorite bars in Corvallis.

Great burgers, and BLT is best in town, some decent handles for the draft beers, and a uniquely Corvallis atmosphere.

Good food. Excellent service. Try the squirrel burger! It's my favorite. Prices are fair with a hefty brew list. Cash only $

I've only been here once, and I was kind of put off by the fact they don't take plastic.

Rainy Day, Great Bar Seat, and One Memorable Meal…read more It was a cold, rainy Oregon afternoon when I stumbled into Castor, and I'm glad I did. There happened to be one open seat at the bar, which is my favorite place to dine when traveling. Sitting at the bar lets you talk story with the bartender, learn the menu, and watch the cocktails come together. If you're eating alone, I highly recommend grabbing a seat here. The bartender was friendly, easy to talk with, and clearly knew both the menu and the craft behind the bar. One thing that stood out right away was their use of fresh local ingredients, which really shows up in the flavor of the dishes and drinks. I started with the Golden Manhattan, made with a pecan-infused bourbon that was fantastic. It had a rich, slightly nutty flavor with warm vanilla notes and just the right touch of sweetness. Smooth, balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. Alongside that I ordered the chorizo clam chowder, which brought a creamy base with just the right amount of spice from the chorizo. Comfort food with a little personality. For dinner I switched gears and ordered the Creole Sour. This one really stood out. Bright citrus up front, a smooth bourbon backbone, and a subtle spice note that tied perfectly into the Creole theme. It had that classic sour balance, tart, slightly sweet, and refreshing without overpowering the drink. Dinner was the gumbo with hot bread and butter, and it delivered. Deep flavor, a nice slow warmth from the spice, and hearty enough to make the rainy Oregon weather feel like part of the experience. To finish things off I kept it simple with a neat pour of Ben Holladay, which made for the perfect nightcap. The staff were welcoming and relaxed, which made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. This is the kind of place that works whether you're dining solo, meeting friends, out with someone special, or grabbing dinner with a group. The price point landed right where it should be for the quality of food, cocktails, and service. If you're in Corvallis and can grab a seat at the bar at Castor, take it. Order a cocktail, settle in, and enjoy the ride. It turned a rainy afternoon into one heck of a meal.

I got the filet (5 oz) and it came with super yummy mashed potatoes and asparagus, perfect portion for a small 22 year old. The restaurant itself was quiet enough so u could easily hear people across the table from you and it is super pretty inside, very nice ambiance.
