We went during Happy Hour and sat at the bar. We had delicious chicken wings and steamed mussels. Seven of the mussels didn't open. The kitchen generously sent us a second batch. The service was good. The views of the river were beautiful. We would definitely go back.

We've been eating here for five years. Never one bad meal. Sometimes expensive, sometimes busy, but always good food and music. Staff is friendly and areas clean. Come on in and enjoy some Florida feasts.

Right on the water and the views are amazing. Eating on the deck is a must, don't sit inside, you're welcome. Service by Mali was top notch. She made suggestions that were spot on. We got there during happy hour 3-6, oh yeah. My sea bass was so good, if I came back I wouldn't even look at the menu. Excellent restaurant!

Who doesn't love dinner with a beautiful view? At Squid Lips, you can often catch a glimpse of dolphins, manatees, and plenty of catfish while you eat, which makes the experience extra special. We enjoyed a lovely sunset dinner here and it did not disappoint. There is even a dock for strolling after you eat. I ordered the fried shrimp, my husband had the fried fish, and our Aunt chose the fish tacos. Everyone loved their meals, and the prices are very reasonable considering the waterfront location. The kids' menu is a nice touch for families. Our little ones stuck with the classic chicken nuggets. The service was friendly, and since we usually visit on slower nights, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. The outdoor bar is huge, and we happened to catch happy hour. I grabbed a $5 margarita while my husband and aunt had beers. The margarita wasn't the best I've ever had, but for $5 it hit the spot! All in all, Squid Lips is a great spot to bring out-of-town visitors or simply enjoy a meal with water views. We'll definitely be back.

Great warm sunny afternoon. Enjoying the river side view great live music, good food and wonderful company. Waiter is excellent! Always kept us company. Atmosphere is great relaxing wonderful view! We had the seafood lasagna ...yummy! With calamari also tasting fresh!

Squid Lips: Come for the fish dip, stay because you're too full to move. This place is the Floridian fever dream I never knew I needed. Super chill, islandy vibe--we sat outside, caught the breeze like a sailboat, and felt ourselves instantly enter vacation mode. Service? ON it. Friendly, fast, and they didn't even blink when our kids started feeding the fish off the pier like it was their part-time job. Honestly, that pier fish-feeding gig might be their new career path. We kicked things off with the smoked fish dip and... I need to learn how to make it at home because I am officially addicted. That said, it came with Club crackers. Classic move. Probably traditional. Maybe sacred? But I'm a rebel and lowkey wondering if tortilla chips would be better or if that's considered a felony in Florida. I don't know--I'm not from here. Please don't report me. Our daughter got the coconut shrimp and looked like she'd found her life's purpose. As for us, we went for the Monday after 4 p.m. fish & chips double portion special. Let me tell you: it was a MOUNTAIN of food. Like, wear-stretchy-pants-and-bring-Tupperware level of food. In short: perfect vibes, amazing food, too many crackers, 10/10 would come back and do it all over again (this time with my own chips... just kidding. Kind of).

Kamy, our bartender, was super nice and fun. Food and drinks were great.

As first time patrons, 4 of us, we would have quickly decided one and done if the hostess, Emily, was our only staff contact. Being seated as far away from the water, after arriving by boat, we asked to sit in another area. She said, "I can't sit you at a big table ". Very rude and told me not to yell at her when I asked her, in a normal tone of voice, if we could sit at a particular 4 chair table near the water. We were standing within 4 feet of each other. I asked her if she really thought I was yelling at her and she said, "don't talk to me across the room. It's a bad experience for the other guests. Absolutely ridiculous. We were not made to feel welcome at all. We went to the bar and had a great experience with Kamy. Great friendly personality and service. We loved every minute. Thank you, Kamy. We will be back because of you and the food and drinks.

Food was great! I got the shrimp basket and just absolutely loved the flavors. The service was quick and our server Craig made our dinner really fun! Craig made us all laugh and have a great time, that man deserves a raise! The atmosphere was warm and smelled really nice with all the different flavors around. I would definitely recommend this to those on vacation!

Key lime pie. One of the best.

It was an amazing day of good weather. Perfect to sit outside. Happy hour Margarita is fair. I prefer the one on the rocks at this place. Stuffed flounder with potatoes was perfect. Thai Mahi was excellent as well. Waitress was pleasant and did a great job. Key lime pie was the best I've had in this area. Great experience, Thank you.

was on vacation with my husband and we went here with his sister and her husband. (They live here). I love eating outdoors - so this was a treat. Unfortunately, it was dark and we couldn't see anything. Nevertheless, it was nice! I had the shrimp/scallop scampi which was very good! I don't usually like the bay scallops - but I liked these! It was a lot of pasta, so I took it home and had the next day. I liked my squid ink drink. The rest of the group had flounder and they weren't impressed.

Unfortunately a lot of the execution fell a bit flat, especially after both the menu and it's prices had set our expectations otherwise. The amuse bouche was definitely a palate awakener.. a mix of olive tapenade and vinegary mustard. It wasn't for us, but if the goal was to wake up our mouths, it worked. Then hubs had the scallop appetizer with bacon maple marmalade. He thought it was too sweet, I didn't mind it. Scallops were cooked well. I had the mussels from Brussels, a bit clumsy to eat as the mussels were in their shells and the thin Brussel leaves were scattered within/around, all on a bed of pureed potatoes. But a nice flavor and a good portion size. Then i moved on to the beet salad, which was my least favorite. A dish I enjoy at a lot of restaurants, all with different plating/approaches, this one was clunky, the beets were cut thicker than usual, plated with large proportion dwarfing the citrus and the cheese was presented in medium size encrusted balls. It lacked elegance or delicateness, the flavors didn't really meld as they should. Hubs and I then moved to the main course. I had the crispy gnocci app as my main, which was fine, nothing special and hubs had the catch #2 a tile fish that was just ok. We finished our drinks, opted for dessert elsewhere. They've been around a long time, so I'm sure we will try again in another couple years.

The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. The small soffrito bowl (about $11) is the perfect size to satisfy without feeling completely stuffed and uncomfortable. The eggs over easy were perfectly cooked runny yokes but fully cooked whites. I dug in too quickly to think to snap a photo first! The other big selling point for me is that they squeeze their own lime, lemon and orange juices so their house margarita at only $9 is absolutely delicious! It goes down too easily but with such a good price why not get a second?? Our second lunch I tried the mahi mahi tacos and I appreciated that the fish was grilled and not fried so there are menu options that are fairly healthy. The shrimp po boy is cooked nicely and taste is good. The highlight are the waffle fries and sweet potatoes tots. 3) the food cooked and served in a timely manner. Now the negatives. 1) the steak skewers. Very tough and bland. 2) the seafood bisque. It wasn't a bisque and very watery. I think it was microwaved and wasn't cooked fresh. 3) sweet ice tea. I can tell it was brewed but wasn't made that day and wasn't sweet. 4) You get 1 small tartar sauce. If you want additional sauces, it's $1 extra (each). Why? You get 3 large pieces of fish in an order of fish and chips but a small amount of tartar sauce which covers one piece. 5) $$$ I like supporting local mom and pop type of restaurant but the prices are a bit on the expensive side.
