Chris was our server and he was 100% wonderful. He was attentive, gave great recommendations, and made sure we never had empty glasses. He was well versed in the menu, checked to make sure we were doing okay, and was overall very respectful! The food was delicious!! The Coconut Shrimp app was amazing. The pineapple rum sauce was new to us and so divine. We shared the Florida Fresh Salad with salmon (picture is of it split). The portions were generous and the flavors were so well balanced. I especially loved the nuts and that the salmon was grilled over an open fire. A fresh and delicious bite. We went during late afternoon/early evening and there was fun music kept at a very reasonable volume. The place is very well kept and the lighting is very comfortable. The ambiance was that of nice dining, felt intimate but not the need to be 'fancy'. The food was AMAZING! My husband and I both had the Golden Corvina, I had it with lemon butter and he had it with jalapeño bacon cream sauce. OHHH. EMMM. GEEEE. It was cooked to perfection and both were fantastic and great flavor. Costa was our server, he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food and resturant in general; and rightfully so! As a customer with Celiac, they have a very extensive menu for gluten free patrons. They are extremely knowledgeable and take it serious for any allergen. This restaraunt has a upscale vibe on the inside with a dim but lively interior. It may be too noisy for some , but you can eat outside where it will be brighter and quieter. The menu structure and offerings is very similar to bonefish grill if you have ever been. The grouper bites appetizer was really good. Grouper lightly breaded and fried with a sauce that has a hint of a kick, it is not beyond mild. For dinner most everyone in my party opted for fish, and you get your choice of sauce... I went with lemon butter caper, and it was a nice creamy addition. The green beans were really good, and I usually am not a fan of those. They snapped, and had the tough ends removed. Florida's Fresh Grill is a great seafood option. The outside is unassuming being located in strip mall next to a Publix, but the inside was nice and the food was great. Plenty of parking directly out front on a Monday night in early January, our party of 5 walked in and was seated in minutes. We had a few appetizers, and the Daily Catch fried bites and calamari were both absolutely outstanding. The fried bites were some of the best fried fish I've had; the batter was light but still present, the fish flavor was subtle but present, and the texture was crisp on the outside and buttery on the inside. The calamari was similarly delicious, a good sized portion of delectably tender pieces with a thin crunch. The entrees were very good, with the mashed potatoes winning best side and being absolutely raved about by everyone at the table who ordered them. The only underperformer of the night was the bread service. While the herb butter accompaniment was delicious, the bread itself looked and tasted like a soft fat bread stick. Next time we'll likely pass on this and just get a second order of calamari instead. read more

Went to FL Fresh Grill on the last night of our friend's trip to Cocoa Beach! Overall a good experience, but this was a one off visit so nothing to compare it to! Take our opinions with a grain of salt! 3.5 stars is not an option, but that's where it sits on my scale :). So first things first, the service was totally fine, very pleasant and friendly! The wait for our food was pretty long but they kept checking on us and we had bread and drinks to hold off. Excellent bread btw! We tried four entrees and two desserts, let's get into it! Here are 4 different perspectives on the experiences :) First person (shellfish allergy) ordered the filet, potatoes & pasta salad! Overall enjoyed thoroughly, the steak was cooked perfectly and the shellfish allergy was addressed and reassured of no possibility of cross contamination! Great choice for just a good steak done right! Second person ordered the salmon, green beans and pasta salad! The salmon was delicious and crispy, notes to the teriyaki glaze! Not a huge fan of the pasta salad, the menu did not clarify that it was a macaroni style pasta salad and not an oil based. Overall great salmon, would recommend different sides! Third person ordered the Lobster Truffle mac & cheese. Unfortunately this one was a bit underwhelming, a very plain mac and cheese and the lobster was probably the unfavorable part of that dish. The lobster had a very stringy/rubbery texture, probably overcooked a bit, and just lacked flavor/seasoning overall. The final dish ordered was the Swordfish Imperial. Which again was unfortunately another pass. The imperial claimed to feature scallops and jumbo shrimp tossed in a blanc over the swordfish. There was one single scallop and maybe 2 shrimp chopped up, overall just not enough for the price of the dish. Now the Swordfish steak was a hearty portion, but a tad on the overcooked/dry side. Very much had the texture of a welldone chicken as opposed to a more melty/fall apart texture. The flavor in the sauce however was there! An excellent sauce and the sides were very enjoyable. Easily a great take on mashed potatoes and pasta salad! The dessert tried were the keylime pie and carrot cake. Both were very sweet and a great sized portion to share with a group. Overall pretty good! We enjoyed our last night overall! Thanks! read more

Been to this local seafood restaurant a few times and was surprised I haven't reviewed a meal here yet. (TLDR Summary: Popular seafood restaurant with potential wait times, bar and patio seating available. Excellent service with attentive staff and a knowledgeable manager. Delicious homemade desserts and solid main dishes, though prices are high.) This place gets packed so be prepared to wait if you're coming here without a reservation, unless you show up when they open as we did today. There's also seating at the bar or outside patio overlooking the front parking lot. Service here was excellent. Our server Ricardo was very attentive and knew the menu well enough to answer our questions. Brandon the manager introduced himself, delivered our meals and made sure everything was as we expected. Main dishes were the golden corvina, shrimp & scallops and a chicken Caesar salad. All were very solid. Corvina was nicely grilled and very mild. Served with garlic mashed and spaghetti squash, both good. Ended with 2 desserts as we were stuck between the key lime pie and carrot cake. They are both homemade so we had to try both, and glad we did! Key lime pies can sometimes be too tart but this one was very mild with great crunchy crust. Carrot cakes, on the other hand can be too sweet at times but this one was perfect, and a large slice too. I'm glad we got both as they are so different. As a seafood place, it can get pricey so be aware. I think the meal was excellent though so I was happy to pay for this experience. read more

One of my favorite meals in the Cocoa Beach area. Don't be detoured by the strip mall location. They have done a great job inside and out to create intimate seating. It didn't look like they took reservations. We showed up around 6pm and were seated immediately inside. It got a bit busier by the end of our meal. I chose the grouper with the belair add on which was goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and artichokes. It was recommended by our server and she was absolutely right on. My sides were green beans and spaghetti squash. So good. Our service was excellent. She did a great job helping us through the menu as first time visitors. Where shall I begin? This spot was recommended by the valet at my nearby resort. To be honest from the name, I didn't have the highest expectations. Once we arrived, I was impressed with the ambience and the option to sit both indoors and outdoors. Our server, Costa was more than attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. I got the lobster tail dinner, and my friend got the grouper appetizer. We both were overly satisfied with our meals and the quality of the food. We both enjoyed the Maple old-fashioned, which was good, however, would've been better with a large cube of ice. For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée, which is a favorite of mine however, this one exceeded my expectations as it had macadamia nuts inside. I highly recommend this place and wished I lived closer to dine here more often. I plan to come back as often as I can as I do frequent Orlando and will happily make the drive to dine here. They each went above and beyond, picking up napkins dropped, fixing up things that don't look top notch, opening doors for customers, and helping one another out. I had the pleasure of being served by Devin. She was exceptional, friendly, professional, attentive, stayed on top of drinks, remembered everything, and even boxed my left overs. She even gave me the tip to try a bite of my carrot cake wi the coffee in the morning. I can't wait! Random tip, we use leftover fish with eggs in the morning and it's spamming the second day! Great find while on business travel. Close to most hotels, and all activities happening there. I sat at the bar solo and felt welcomed, and had no complaints. Ambience was really nice for having a great conversation and eating good food and sharing some good stories. Great place if you're looking for an elevated date night. We came in on a Monday evening and we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. Our bartenders were very attentive and friendly and being how we were from out of town and it was our first time there, they walked us through the menu and recommended their most popular dishes. Do not skip the grouper bites!!! Probably the best appetizer I've had in a long time from anywhere! My boyfriend had the surf and turf for his main dish and I had the corvina, a recommended dish from the bartenders with the chef's side. We thoroughly enjoyed them both.
