Lobster dinner with mashed potatoes and haricot verts
    Ali S.

Where shall I begin? This spot was recommended by the valet at my nearby resort. To be honest from the name, I didn't have the highest expectations. Once we arrived, I was impressed with the ambience and the option to sit both indoors and outdoors. Our server, Costa was more than attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. I got the lobster tail dinner, and my friend got the grouper appetizer. We both were overly satisfied with our meals and the quality of the food. We both enjoyed the Maple old-fashioned, which was good, however, would've been better with a large cube of ice. For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée, which is a favorite of mine however, this one exceeded my expectations as it had macadamia nuts inside. I highly recommend this place and wished I lived closer to dine here more often. I plan to come back as often as I can as I do frequent Orlando and will happily make the drive to dine here. Enjoy!

Good service but the food was really overpriced and sub par. There wasn't one thing on our plates that was "great" it was all good or okay. The ambiance was nice it was a bit fancier looking inside than I would have thought.

Went to FL Fresh Grill on the last night of our friend's trip to Cocoa Beach! Overall a good experience, but this was a one off visit so nothing to compare it to! Take our opinions with a grain of salt! 3.5 stars is not an option, but that's where it sits on my scale :). So first things first, the service was totally fine, very pleasant and friendly! The wait for our food was pretty long but they kept checking on us and we had bread and drinks to hold off. Excellent bread btw! We tried four entrees and two desserts, let's get into it! Here are 4 different perspectives on the experiences :) First person (shellfish allergy) ordered the filet, potatoes & pasta salad! Overall enjoyed thoroughly, the steak was cooked perfectly and the shellfish allergy was addressed and reassured of no possibility of cross contamination! Great choice for just a good steak done right! Second person ordered the salmon, green beans and pasta salad! The salmon was delicious and crispy, notes to the teriyaki glaze! Not a huge fan of the pasta salad, the menu did not clarify that it was a macaroni style pasta salad and not an oil based. Overall great salmon, would recommend different sides! Third person ordered the Lobster Truffle mac & cheese. Unfortunately this one was a bit underwhelming, a very plain mac and cheese and the lobster was probably the unfavorable part of that dish. The lobster had a very stringy/rubbery texture, probably overcooked a bit, and just lacked flavor/seasoning overall. The final dish ordered was the Swordfish Imperial. Which again was unfortunately another pass. The imperial claimed to feature scallops and jumbo shrimp tossed in a blanc over the swordfish. There was one single scallop and maybe 2 shrimp chopped up, overall just not enough for the price of the dish. Now the Swordfish steak was a hearty portion, but a tad on the overcooked/dry side. Very much had the texture of a welldone chicken as opposed to a more melty/fall apart texture. The flavor in the sauce however was there! An excellent sauce and the sides were very enjoyable. Easily a great take on mashed potatoes and pasta salad! The dessert tried were the keylime pie and carrot cake. Both were very sweet and a great sized portion to share with a group. Overall pretty good! We enjoyed our last night overall! Thanks!

Been to this local seafood restaurant a few times and was surprised I haven't reviewed a meal here yet. (TLDR Summary: Popular seafood restaurant with potential wait times, bar and patio seating available. Excellent service with attentive staff and a knowledgeable manager. Delicious homemade desserts and solid main dishes, though prices are high.) This place gets packed so be prepared to wait if you're coming here without a reservation, unless you show up when they open as we did today. There's also seating at the bar or outside patio overlooking the front parking lot. Service here was excellent. Our server Ricardo was very attentive and knew the menu well enough to answer our questions. Brandon the manager introduced himself, delivered our meals and made sure everything was as we expected. Main dishes were the golden corvina, shrimp & scallops and a chicken Caesar salad. All were very solid. Corvina was nicely grilled and very mild. Served with garlic mashed and spaghetti squash, both good. Ended with 2 desserts as we were stuck between the key lime pie and carrot cake. They are both homemade so we had to try both, and glad we did! Key lime pies can sometimes be too tart but this one was very mild with great crunchy crust. Carrot cakes, on the other hand can be too sweet at times but this one was perfect, and a large slice too. I'm glad we got both as they are so different. As a seafood place, it can get pricey so be aware. I think the meal was excellent though so I was happy to pay for this experience.

One of my favorite meals in the Cocoa Beach area. Don't be detoured by the strip mall location. They have done a great job inside and out to create intimate seating. It didn't look like they took reservations. We showed up around 6pm and were seated immediately inside. It got a bit busier by the end of our meal. I chose the grouper with the belair add on which was goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and artichokes. It was recommended by our server and she was absolutely right on. My sides were green beans and spaghetti squash. So good. Our service was excellent. She did a great job helping us through the menu as first time visitors. We ended the meal with the seasonal crème brûlée which was chocolate flavored. Everything was excellent.

We went to dinner tonight at Floridas Fresh Grill in Coco Beach. We were underwhelmed that it was a strip mall restaurant, and my expectations were not high. Dang was I wrong! Go here! From the staff greeting you at the doors to the impeccable service and the fantastic food, I couldn't have been happier! Our waiter Chris was great!

Service: accommodating & welcoming. Bartender explained the menu. Gave recommendations. Turned on the football game. Attentive as well. Went above & beyond. Seemed to thoroughly enjoy his job. Food: delicious & fresh. Nice portions. Grouper bites were breaded lightly & cooked well. Crab was filling & plentiful. Ambiance: comfy, soft bar seating. Nice relaxing lighting. Outdoor seating as well. Happy hour offered (bar area) drinks as well as a few food items. Recommended, enjoyed the experience. Only request, add more beer choices. Oh & there is a dress code.

The food was very flavorful, great ambiance, the service by our waiter Dominick was outstanding, he did not miss a beat. The only feedback is that we had reservations for 7:30pm and waited an hour to be seated.

Great find while on business travel. Close to most hotels, and all activities happening there. I sat at the bar solo and felt welcomed, and had no complaints. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with the potatoes and veggies, with a finely made Martini. Bartender lady was most excellent. I look forward to returning in a couple of months.

We were a large party and had to wait very long time to be seated in two tables. Food was ok. Restaurant lights were a little low to be able to read the menu.

Unfortunately a lot of the execution fell a bit flat, especially after both the menu and it's prices had set our expectations otherwise. The amuse bouche was definitely a palate awakener.. a mix of olive tapenade and vinegary mustard. It wasn't for us, but if the goal was to wake up our mouths, it worked. Then hubs had the scallop appetizer with bacon maple marmalade. He thought it was too sweet, I didn't mind it. Scallops were cooked well. I had the mussels from Brussels, a bit clumsy to eat as the mussels were in their shells and the thin Brussel leaves were scattered within/around, all on a bed of pureed potatoes. But a nice flavor and a good portion size. Then i moved on to the beet salad, which was my least favorite. A dish I enjoy at a lot of restaurants, all with different plating/approaches, this one was clunky, the beets were cut thicker than usual, plated with large proportion dwarfing the citrus and the cheese was presented in medium size encrusted balls. It lacked elegance or delicateness, the flavors didn't really meld as they should. Hubs and I then moved to the main course. I had the crispy gnocci app as my main, which was fine, nothing special and hubs had the catch #2 a tile fish that was just ok. We finished our drinks, opted for dessert elsewhere. They've been around a long time, so I'm sure we will try again in another couple years.

Allie was honestly fantastic. She was super accommodating and attentive, but never in a way that felt like too much. She checked on us at all the right times and made us feel taken care of without hovering. She really knew the menu too, which I always appreciate. When we asked for suggestions, she gave thoughtful recommendations that ended up being exactly right for what we were in the mood for. What meant the most to me as a mom was how patient she was with our kids. She listened to every order (and all the little modifications that come with kids ), and the food came out exactly how we asked for it -- which tells me she was really paying attention. In today's world, it feels like genuinely good service is harder and harder to find, especially when you're traveling. So when you do get it, it stands out. Thank you, Allie, for taking such great care of our family and helping make our little getaway that much more enjoyable. You truly renewed my faith in the service industry.

I made a reservation for 6 at 1:30 pm on Mother's Day. When we arrived, we waited 10 -15 minutes in the host line before we were greeted. This, coupled with the fact there were lots of empty tables that had not been bussed, let me know that the restaurant was not equipped to handle the volume of customers and was in the weeds. When we told the host we were a party of 6 with a reservation, he seemed surprised and distraught - immediately leaving to bus one of the tables. A quality restaurant would have expected us and had our table prepared prior to our arrival. Multiple people in our party mentioned the host's frantic demeanor. I don't blame him - it was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed, despite so many empty tables. Was the kitchen backed up? We were sat at the table and the server was very pleasant - a very nice woman. She brought out the water - tap water which smelled and tasted a little funny. I would have expected filtered or bottled water, especially when the tap water quality was poor. At this point, given the above, we decided to leave. If the experience up to this point was not up to par, we didn't want to take our chances. We've seen too many Kitchen Nightmares episodes to take the risk. Chaos in the front of house is normally correlated to chaos in the back. Hopefully the restaurant takes our constructive criticisms to heart and tries to make some improvements. The buck starts with the management.
