My husband and I went for our one year wedding anniversary. The food was delish. The kojito cocktail was scrummm. The wasabi Caesar as an appetizer was perfect. I would have eaten it all myself but it was definitely enough to split. The sushi was incredible. Best sushi I've had since living in FL. The service was so fast and our server was so nice and attentive. I can't remember her name but she was blonde and so pleasant! The restaurant itself is so cool. I loved the fusion of high quality food with a casual restaurant ambiance. We will definitely come back.

Owned and run by a professional chef, Koko is amazing and deserves more than five stars! The menu is unique and imaginative - it is a place you would expect to find in a bigger. The food is creative and tasty and the service is top notch. Funky decor and cool ambience. This place is a must try!

Awesome Japanese food in Cocoa Beach. I keep getting the ramen with the pork belly and they have some interesting Asian beers on tap. There's also a sale in a wooden box that was fun. The place is cozy and the staff is great. The guy that does the sushi is very personable and the rest of the staff was very attentive.

The new Japanese spot had been on my radar for months.Heard great things from Joe French--he's basically family there now, along with his kids Nick and Luke.I brought it up to Scott Kingston too, but he went without telling me (still not over it).Securing a Saturday lunch omakase took some serious planning, but it was worth it. Plenty of surprises were in store, starting with seeing Daniel, formerly of Kadence in Orlando, behind the counter.Leaving the menu in the chef's hands--the essence of omakase--turned out to be the best decision of the day.A truffled scallop, seared just on one side, set the tone right away.Couldn't believe my son passed on his, but I was happy to help with cleanup duty.Every dish that followed built on the last--tight, deliberate, and packed with flavor. I didn't expect to love the tomato and tuna combo as much as I did.Somewhere in the final courses, a scallop temaki roll showed up like a sushi burrito--wild and excellent. Flavor peaked with a slice of Akamutsu, buttery and melt-in-your-mouth good.Uni topped with Argentine truffle? Ridiculously indulgent, and somehow still balanced.Chef Daniel knows exactly what he's doing--his technique is flawless and his creativity shows in every bite.Knowing he's in town now feels like Melbourne just leveled up its food scene.I'll be back, no question. No shade, but maybe keep your reservations to yourself--I like my counter space. Getting a seat here might be the new brunch-time power move. One lunch in, and I'm hooked.Only regret is that I didn't go sooner.Don't miss this place.

This place is incredible! Small with all the right esthetics, amazing tasteful vibe, and a really thoughtful menu! We started with the salad and KoFC karaage fried chicken with roasted garlic aioli and black garlic bbq. So good! My wife got the Nasi Goreng fried rice, shrimp and scallops, kimchi yuzu sauce, basil, mint, cilantro, tamago and my main course was the Shio Ramen traditional broth, pork belly chashu, smoked tomato, onsen tamago, both very generous portions. Ended with the matcha tres letche which was amazing. Attentive servers to make the whole experience perfect. You need to get to Koko!

    Nice wine selection available

The place is small, in an old gas station but make no mistake... this is fine dining. Chef Daniel Joseph Penovich (formerly of Michelin starred 'Kadence' in Winter Park) uses that to his advantage. It's tastefully decorated and stimulates conversation. The size allows him to work every table and talk to every one of his patrons. The food is really really good. This is so much more than a sushi place. We chose the Nasi Goreng (Indonesian style rice dish), Shio Ramen with absolutely perfect pork belly and the Yuzu Pie for dessert. We will return for sure. Oh and the background music was fantastic as well. All selected by Daniel. https://www.kokopub.com/

    Bluefin Tuna Roll $36. 10/10

I just had dinner at Koko. What a great addition to Brevard! The Restaurant is on the smaller side, with two tables that can seat a party of 6-7. The other side has high-tops that look out to the Street. That's where we sat, but it can feel crowded, so your best bet is to sit on the low-top counter. (See pictures.) The decor is lovely and unique, with a more minimalist look and touches of Japanese culture, including cool movie/anime posters. The service was excellent. I loved that they box your leftover niceties, which are often skipped these days. On my way out, I was taking a picture of the sign, and one of the employees offered to take a picture of us. This was another nice touch of service. Now, the most important part is the food. It's pricer than Brevard is used to, but you're paying for hand-crafted, quality ingredients. My husband and I paid $134 for the bill. Shio ramen- Great, a generous portion of pork. Comes with a soft-boiled egg. Surf & Turf miso ramen - Delicious, the hollandaise was a unique touch that makes the ramen nice and creamy. I preferred the Shio ramen. The lobster was CRAZY good. Bluefin tuna roll--Hands down, this is the best thing on the menu; it is so fresh! Matcha Tres Leche is not super sweet, and I wish the matcha taste was more substantial but still tasty and very light, which is nice after ramen. Yuzu Pie- is thicker and a lot sweeter on the heavier side. I liked this one a bit more. Overall, this is a great spot for date night. Go earlier for a seat, and I believe they make a Japanese bento box breakfast on Saturdays. I'm excited to see what the future holds for them. Also, there is a great story about the owner. I believe there is a local article about it.

If you're in Cocoa Beach, you have to try the new lunch service at Koko. It's not just lunch; it's the "Bento Lunchable", and it's perfect-- a box of sushi, salad, dessert, and your main event (the SANDO). I went straight for the Spicy Chicken Sando and was blown away. Portion is perfect, food is clean and delicious, take a seat at the window stools and enjoy the view and vibe, it's easily the best midday meal I've had on the beach in a long time. Go check it out!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Apparently, the Yelp Skynet a.k.a. the AI that green or red flags reviews, doesn't like the actual name of this pub despite the fact it is the pub's name. Ergo, I will use the abbreviation VI for the remainder of this review. Besides that, you really can't go wrong going to any of the pubs in Historic Cocoa Village. VI is one of the pubs on the eastern side of the Village, in between the famous Fat Donkey's Ice Cream and the furthest east pub in the village, Ryan's. Appearance-wise, the outside fits primarily with the building, but there are some minute details that give it its own personality, primarily around its name. There is also a section of the road and sidewalk that have been garrisoned for VI as outdoor seating and games such as bean bag toss. Indoors, it is definitely your kinda pub that many of the patrons are friends. The right side (East) have long tables with many pub and drinking games such as Hook & Ring and Shut The Box. There is a bookshelf filled to the brim with board games in case patrons prefer traditional or childhood classics. The left side (West) is the "Patio," a room that is decorated by numerous plants, neon lighting, widker and a black-and-white checkerboard floor. Finally, the middle of the pub is the actual bar, in the form of an L-shape serving a nice arrangement of beers from many breweries, cideries, distilleries, and meaderies across the United States. I had the Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale by Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. Other beer selections I would recommend include the Pineapple Cider by the famous Carib Brewing Co. and the Mango Cart by Golden Road Brewing. Personal note on the latter: Mango Carts, well for me, only taste good when straight from the tap. Cans are not good. And the food, it is minimal, but boy does VI know how to tug at my heartstrings as everything they have features, or could feature, cheese. They have pretzels with cheese, pickles with cheese, and my personal favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches. And for the more sophisticated patron, they have numerous choices in charcuterie boards, too. I will also state the drink prices are a bit on the high side compared to some other places I been to. And there are two restrooms that are single-serving and gender-specific. I don't believe the latter has to be gender-specific because they are single-serving. The barn doors are an interesting choice because they are not very good at blocking sound. I guess that is why VI blasts the music so nobody can hear the flatulence. Speaking of music, VI does have a small corner stage for small acts, possibly singular, to perform. Unless there is a pull-out large stage for outdoor performances, I don't see big bands, per se in higher number of members, performing here unless they can all jam in that tight-spaced stage. Ultimately, I am going to give VI three-out-of-five stars for this review. They are a solid pub that has all the fixin's of a good bar to go to. Maybe it is safe to say they really don't stand out too much, especially amongst the more unique bars in Historic Cocoa Village. But still, a good place to have a drink with friends with that "Everybody knows your name" kinda vibe.

I went with a friend to Coaster's Cocoa Beach. Happy Saint Patrick's day!…read moreThey were very busy. They were serving a limited menu with food and drink specials for the day. They had the traditional Irish fare. My friend ordered the Ruben sandwich with sweet potato fries. She commented on how much corned beef in the Sandwich and how delicious the fries were. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. Only $20.00. I received at least a half pound of very lean corned beef, red potatoes, carrots and steamed cabbage. A very generous serving. The corned beef was really lean , moist, tender, and very flavorful. What a great meal. They had traditional Irish music. Great atmosphere for the holiday. We had a great time.

Man I really wanted to like this place but I just couldn't!!…read more It is a really mundane place over all. The ambiance is that of every other bar, which in itself isn't bad but it is when you don't do anything to really stand out. I ordered the southern burger and their special of deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were really good but only 6 half eggs was $12. Way overpriced in my opinion. The burger looked really good but for $22 for the burger and the fries, it better be top notch. Burger came out over done, with the entire bottom bun completely soaked in juice. It basically fell apart by the end of the meal. I will say the fries were really good but for $45 with a tip FOR ONE PERSON this place is way over priced for what you get. I also thought my service was just okay as well. Wouldn't recommend this place and won't be back.
