    Pad thai
    Heather D.

Excellent! Good food, huge portions and reasonably priced. Please don't change! I forgot to take a pic of our dinners (Pad thai combo with sushi) but this is what the pad thai looks like and also my husbands seafood dinner.

If there were 10 's I would give them all 10! The ambiance, decor and seating was fabulously executed. It has a very welcoming, chill and vibrant vibe. The food portions are overly generous while being truly tasty, authentic and rich in flavors and spices.

The obligatory food pic...pineapple chicken curry and a hamachi roll.

We've been three times now, trying something different each time and every visit has been delicious. .

Food is really good here! We have the spring rolls to start and the fried rice and pad Thai to share. 100% recommend!

Dim lights and couches making it feel casual but yet upscale at the same time. The host and the wait staff was super attentive and great to have, no issues or problems with them. They were very kind and accommodating and super helpful in terms of trying to figure out all allergies and what my child could or cannot eat, but also make adjustments so that she has options. Now for the food! We had gotten the beef skewer and chicken skewers as appetizers and let me tell you they were probably the best meat skewers that I've had in a Izakaya style Japanese restaurant. The steak was so tender and had great flavor, same with the chicken! The sauce was good, maybe a bit too heavy on the sauce but good pairing! 5/5 The tuna flight was . So good and the cuts of tuna was so tender and was amazing, good garnishes on top! 5/5 The rolls, we got a couple Yellow Fever: it was good, I'm not sure if I was a fan of the asparagus but it was good to have every now and then every other bite or so but not every time. It did have a slight kick to it but I liked it. Distinguished Gentleman: was great. The meat was tender and it had good flavor and my kids enjoyed it as a more kid friendly sushi, but I also enjoyed one bite that I was able to sneak before the kids devoured it. Shrimp Tempura roll (specially made for allergies): Standard goodness! I also almost forgot, I had gotten King Salmon nigiri and also eel nigiri, salmon was good! Normal salmon vibes 4/5 but the eel...probably the most disappointing menu item tbh. Tasted like the frozen Asian grocery store eel, just underwhelming and not a little tough. 2/5 wouldn't order again. but Overall, it was everything was great, we had good service and good food! It's a bit expensive but I Would come back!

The rolls when you eat in vice take are night and day. The tornado roll was delicious with four different raw fish on top. The fire dragon roll is also always a big hit with tempura shrimp complimented by the spicy tuna. For once we didn't order too much food. Our server actually brought us an older menu with more pictures with really helped so ask for the picture menu if having a hard time visualizing the rolls. The booths are clean and comfortable. They are very strict about their hours and won't take to-go orders during the afternoon closure--or even shortly after reopening. I ordered the Pad Thai, which had good flavor but was on the dry side with very little sauce. I added duck, which unfortunately was both fatty and overcooked. My brother's dish looked appealing, but it ended up being similarly unmemorable. The atmosphere is relaxed and beach-casual, which is pleasant, but overall this was a decent meal rather than a standout one.

The chef/owner is wonderful at his craft - no matter the dish, you can really taste the deliciousness! Yes, their hours are a little odd, their prices are not on the cheaper side, and the regular set menu is fairly limited compared to your normal Asian places... but it's worth it for us. We absolutely love to see what their daily specials are - upon entering you'll notice the big specials board which changes daily! They have the curry of the day displayed here(unlike other places, they have a single curry of the day you can have prepared with the meat of your choice), as well as the specials. Our favorite is chef E's version of Orange Chicken. It's soooooo good, so fresh, not and overly sweet/gloppy mess. Perfect dish! We also love the spicy Korean noods, ginger stir fry, the thai iced tea... and the appetizers! Homemade dumplings are always a 10/10, and the crispy taro spring rolls are delicious too. Don't miss out on Emman's!

The exterior and interior both follow the same black and white illustrated design style. The only thing missing was the chairs not being outlined as well, because that would've tied the theme together even more. Lots of parking available. Ordering is done at the counter before being seated. Service was friendly, and teachers get a complimentary drink with their entrée. I ordered the Black Ox noodle soup, which costs $28 and is tied with the short rib pho as the most expensive pho option on the menu. The bowl only comes in one size. It included sliced beef, beef brisket, and two pieces of oxtail, one large and one small. The oxtail was very tender and fell off the bone easily although I wish I had more oxtail since two of the pieces were bone only. The brisket was also well cooked and flavorful. Noodles were on the firm side and I wish the broth was a lot more hotter. On the side they provide bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil leaves, and two lime wedges. I also tried the Thai iced tea. It was a bit too sweet for my preference, so I wasn't able to finish it. They have one family washroom and one regular washroom available. Wooden chopsticks are provided, and plastic forks are available too. The food was solid, especially the oxtail, though the pricing does lean on the expensive side.
