This place is so good. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. It can get busy, but it's worth the wait.

Located in a strip plaza with very little parking out front but there is a lot on the east side of the building. Sat at a spacious booth and had our drink order taken quickly. PadThai bento box was a good portion and we had leftovers. The nigiri in the combo was very good. The Pad Thai had plenty of chicken in it. Check out the picture. Veggi soup was ok. What I expected but I do wish the broth was a little more robust in flavor. The menu is extensive and will require another visit to dive deep into. Very friendly staff. Freshly made, good food and the hot dishes were served hot, the cold were perfectly cold. A nice thing to find. The service was very nice and the ambiance was good as well. The coconut flavor of the Tom Kha Gai was yummy and had a light and delicious flavor. I will say I have had better, but I was by no means disappointed. The Roast Duck Noodle had a delicious broth to match with the flavors of the duck and the texture of the noodles. The ducks crisp skin added a more intricate texture and flavor to the dish that contrasted well with its other elements. The only thing I would remark on is adding less bean sprouts as they were outnumbering the noodles. Overall, was a good experience and would eat here again. read more

We were traveling and got dinner here. We got the hot sake, Thai tea, edamame, shrimp pad Thai, and beef pad see ew. The food and service were great. The manager or owner (not sure who it was) came over to each table to ensure we enjoyed the food and everything was to our liking. I ordered this for delivery by uber. The way the food was packed was the first sign. My soup and curry were put in cylinder containers on their side, so of course they were partially spilled. The Panang curry marked as spicy was mild at best, reasonable taste but may as well been Whole Foods level of spice. The garlic and pepper had no sauce, or that may have also spilled, it was very mild as well. My mother in law wanted to spend time with the grandkids and we had to run errands so we decided to also get something to eat but go somewhere we wouldn't necessarily bring toddlers. My husband suggested we try this place one more time in person. (We had this to go one night a few years back and it was terrible which did not reflect the amazing reviews. If a place is bad- I give it another go around). Although it may be kid friendly, it's a tight space like most restaurants in plazas so we find ourselves hushing our toddlers more than enjoying the ambience and food in these places so if you're like us worrying about other people's comfort all the time, try it without the kids!) It's decorated with Thai culture in mind and very pretty. Upon walking in we were greeted almost immediately by a very sweet woman with a huge friendly smile The restaurant seemed very clean considering it's not new, and given all the different decorations. We ordered Krab Angels (wontons) and they were so tasty! There was sooo much stuffing in them! Our go to at any Thai restaurant are Panang and Massaman Curry. We ordered medium because we don't mind a kick. Both were top notch! Somehow we favored the Massaman over the Panang because their Massaman seems to have a unique sweetness that we haven't experienced elsewhere. With the savoriness of potatoes and nuts and the sweetness, it made it absolutely delicious! The waitress cracked jokes and laughed at our cheesy jokes as well. All in all it was such a great experience and we are so happy we tried it again. You could easily share one curry and get an appetizer or dessert and you'd most likely feel satisfied. Dined here during the week for lunch. We were greeted immediately and seated promptly. We ordered our usual Tom Yum Soup with chicken and Thai Basil Chicken. The lunch special also includes the soup of the day and a Spring Roll that was a surprise. Everything had great flavor and the service was good. Have ordered carry out twice now and now looking forward to dining in. The food was stellar. First time I ordered, maybe a month ago, I was a little disappointed bc the prices were a little steep compared to other Asian/Japanese we've been to around here -- in fact we almost didn't order bc there are already similar places we enjoy. So glad we gave it a shot. Zero complaints with the quality and taste of our first order. Felt like splurging the other day and I was pleasantly surprised to see the menu prices had gone down!!! That NEVER happens lol. We loved the first time that we ordered the same items again, and saved $20! Now that the prices are a little more competitive, I plan to order from Jao Thai regularly. We ordered the following: edamame, green curry with chicken and tofu, the special rainbow roll, and the sashimi appetizer. The first time we ordered the curry we didn't have the option to choose our spice level but second time we did; level 4 gave nice lingering burn/warmth without shredding our GI system. Sashimi doesn't come with as much as other places, but hard to complain about it. The rainbow roll was beautiful and extra tasty. Possibly the best roll in town, IMHO. Ever since I left the DC area, I've had trouble finding decent Thai food. I'm visiting family and tried Jao kitchen. I had pad Thai with shrimp level 4 spicy and spring rolls. It was excellent! All of your Thai favorites and also a first class sushi/sashimi bar. The service is very attentive and there are tables and booths that can accommodate parties of various sizes. I stared in disbelief at yet another Thai/Sushi combo place staring up at me from my random name generator. You have got to be kidding me. How many of these hybrid clip joints have sprung up as of late? They are beginning to look a lot like Starbucks...you know, one on every corner. This time, I was headed to Jao Thai Kitchen, located in a minuscule strip mall just east of Dairy Road in Melbourne, FL. My wait staff for this culinary excursion was none other than One. While I have it on good word that One is the loneliest number, I have to admit I appreciate the new identity of using a form or letter of their actual name instead of a random generic "American" name such as Mary or Sue. This is now the 5th Thai restaurant where I encountered this new nomenclature, which is a refreshing and positive change. I asked One for an order of their Jalapeno roll, some Chicken Panang Curry and a Tuna Hand Roll. One returned at a moment's notice with our order and after snapping a few pics, I grabbed the Jalapeno Roll and commenced tasting. This exciting concoction consisted of tuna, salmon, hamachi, asparagus, cucumber, smelt roe, jalapeno and spicy sauce topped with avocado. Like all stuffed rolls, this one can trace its roots back to the California roll sans the obligatory fake crab center. I prefer this type of roll as I really don't like paying for fish masquerading as crab. There was just enough kick with the jalapeno and spicy sauce to entertain one's taste buds. Next up on the Big Boy's palate was the Chicken Panang Curry. Panang Curry has to be one of my favorite of the Thai curries. It is mild, complex and sweet with a hint of heat. This was perfectly cooked, including the tender pieces of all-white meat chicken and Thai basil, carrots and bell peppers that were fresh and obviously sliced in the back. This brings me to my Sushi join barometer of the Tuna Hand Roll. I found this one to be better than most, but it's still not quite what you would find in a traditional Sushi Ya (shop/restaurant). The tuna was a lovely shade of red and the rice was steamed to perfection. However, I found it to be severely lacking in the traditional additions one usually finds in a Tuna Hand Roll, such as a slice or two of Gobo (Japanese Burdock root/carrot or, more often, plain carrot), watercress sprouts and cucumber. This was fine, just on the simple side. It would have been rather bland on the palate if not for soy sauce. The Big Boy says, "If traditional Japanese Sushi is not your thing, for whatever reason, or you are just hankering for a hunk of raw fish and are nearby, Jao Thai Kitchen can adequately fill that sushi void." read more

Hands down the best Thai food in the county!! I was driving to Orlando for good Thai food but no longer will have to do so!! The red curry is the perfect heat and has a complex flavor profile. All of the veggies are cooked to perfection and not over done and soggy. The spicy basil fried rice is definitely spicy and so delicious by far the best fried rice ever!! I will be a regular. Not impressed nor disappointed. This was a delivery order that came quick and hot! Being my first experience with them I will be happy to give it another shot and hopefully can raise my 3 stars to something higher... however and for now that is the best I can do. The Tom Kha Gai is my FAVORITE Thai soup! I get it everywhere I go. This soup was very VERY watery and lacked the rich and thickness coconut milk usually brings. It had so little flavor and the veggies and chicken were sparse. Not a good example of this traditional soup. The Crispy Duck was wonderful! I would prefer more of a crisp and crunch, but it was just fatty enough with lots of flavor. The sauce was very good with tender veggies! The sauce was almost drinkable it was so tasty! The rice was sooo dry and bland! It needed salt and rice vinegar and seemed to have neither. The Ginger Salad needed more ginger dressing but the veggies were fresh and plump. This Thai kitchen is one of my all-time-favorites! I have enthusiastically returned for the food for years, and it's one of the only places I've found with takeout that nearly matches the quality of eating in-house. It's a part of a small strip with limited parking along 192, but there's lots of space inside! We were able to seat four at a comfy booth by the entrance in between the small tables and larger booths along the side. It's probably possible to seat large groups, but it would definitely depend on how busy they are. My usual dish is the boat noodle soup, which is a flavorful beef pho. We also tried the crispy basil fish and a sushi boat, which had a lot more than we expected for $20! The Thai coffee was wonderful, even though the portion was lacking because of how much ice was packed into the glass. Regardless, everything tasted fresh and was plated beautifully. read more

Jao Thai is a really earnest restaurant with attentive service and a humble family feel. They have a good lunch special that covers all of the Thai specials from stir-fry dishes and curries to the beloved Pad Thai. For the lunch special (for all dishes), it's around $8 for chicken, pork, beef or tofu protein base, or a dollar more for shrimp or squid, or two dollars on top of that for mixed seafood. You get to choose between a soup or salad as an appetizer as well. I ended up being basic and got the Chicken Pad Thai and chose the soup of the day which was Egg Drop Soup. The Egg Drop Soup was pretty standard with some crunchy fried wonton strips and some green onions. The Chicken Pad Thai was presented very cleanly with peanuts on the side and a fried egg roll with some sweet and sour sauce to dip with. Overall, it was well balanced between the sweet, salty, spicy, and sour and a good portion. A good rendition of Pad Thai that definitely hits the spot. I was also feeling extra hungry so I ended up getting a sushi roll too. I ended up getting the Jalapeño Ocean Roll. It was a good balance between the crunch from the jalapeno and asparagus with the tuna/salmon mix and creaminess of the avocado on top. It was not excessive and was a decent roll that was cleanly executed. Overall, I enjoyed this restaurant because it's just a good local place serving good food. Next time I come here I am interested in trying out their Curry Duck lunch special that has pineapple and Thai basil in a red curry sauce. Can't wait! read more

The pickin's are slim for authentic Thai food in Brevard county. Enter, Jao Thai Kitchen! This has been my go-to for Thai food for the past few months. Although, I've only tried two of their dishes (Pad Thai w/ Chicken & Pad See Eau w/Beef) via take out. I'm pretty sure the other menu items would not disappoint. The restaurant is usually empty and quiet, but clean and well maintained. I have not had any issues ordering and the service is prompt. Keep up the good work! read more

I'm so glad we tried it and I'll definitely be ordering again...possibly tonight I ordered a dish I had never tried before called Khao Soi Gai and my word...a new favorite. I LOVE curry, but I wanted something a little different and love some good noodles. Again, this was takeout, so don't judge the appearance, but they package it up nice so the toppings don't get soggy in the sauce. As I was eating it, I described it as a profusion of textures. You have the thick warm curry, the soft noodles, tender chicken, the tart crunchy pickles, the zing and snap of raw onions, and the crispy fried noodles on top just bring it all home. Rare these days to be served hot meals in restaurants. Plenty of food with both meals. Enough to ask for doggy bag for lunch next day. Many veggie dishes. Pleasant staff. We were greeted by sushi chefs as we entered. Wait staff was friendly. Food timing was perfect between courses. Menu has so many options, making it difficult to decide what to order. We plan on returning so we can try them all. The place has a cozy, casual, atmosphere, but somewhat noisy. Only because it was crowded. Happy we found this gem. Ahhhh, I found it! I have to travel for a living and when I start working in a new city, I hunt for the local gems. The hole in the wall, family owned restaurants, that has food so good you don't mind being away from home so much. The Thai here is very real, so come to enjoy the flavor, but be very careful with the heat. I love hot, spicy and flavorful and the food here nails it. BUT if you come in and dial up the heat because you're used to me too restaurants, you'd better bring a dunk tank to jump into. Medium is so nice, it IS hot & spicy & flavorful. You're going to come back so sneak up on the heat. Start at medium and see if you want to go higher. I say a newbie at the next table go number 8 and he spontaneously combusted. He still had a smile on his face so I'm sure it hurt so good. Me, I was soooo happy with medium! So happy to find a great spot that's going to be in my weekly rotation when I'm in the area. This one might even get 2 nights a week. I had Drunken Noodles with Chicken ....good news/bad news. Good news, it was DAMN good! Bad new, I might not ever try anything different. Visited this restaurant on a Friday night around 0925 pm. The restaurant closed at 10 so being considerate, I asked first if they were still taking to go orders. They seemed very hesitant & at first said no, but as I started to leave a manager or some one higher said "no no no,we are still taking orders!"
