Not great! I have had Thai food all over the world, so when I saw 4 stars, I was hopeful. Then I remembered we came her like 3-4 years ago and haven't been back. But we were here and decided to give it another try. Yeah, now I remember why we haven't been back. We had some apps for a good sampling. The shumai were cold. Tasty, but a little fishy shrimpy. The fried tofu literally had zero taste and had to be saved by the sweet chili sauce. Yeah, I know, tofu doesn't have a taste, but hey, how about a little salt maybe. The satay was disappointing. One piece was a bit charred, but overall it was just OK. Good peanut sauce. And finally the fresh spring roll. This was like the rest of the food, typical and unexciting. Place is very clean and the service was excellent. I just wish the food had a spark. $46 worth of disappointing. If there is such a thing as basic Thai, this is it. read more

Went to Thai Bayside for dinner on a Friday night with my Dad for the first time and was very excited to try their noodles and curry! We were greeted and sat immediately the service was excellent and everyone was extremely happy and kind which set such a pleasant and positive vibe. We started off with Thai spring rolls and steamed dumplings which arrived quickly and were very delicious . For our meals I ordered the drunken noodles and my Dad ordered the pineapple curry with fried rice, I upped the spice heat level to hot on my noodles and added chicken which was soooo good. The pineapple curry was not spicy and has amazing flavor with chicken and vegetables along with the pineapple, I will definitely be getting my own curry next time Dad definitely ate the whole bowl, if the pineapple curry tastes that good I really want to go back and try the green curry! This Thai restaurant is nestled in the dollar general shopping center across from Publix shopping center. They have a sushi bar and menu. I was in the area and love tom kha soup with coconut milk and lemongrass so I stopped for some. As I was writing this however I saw a lot of health violations which is concerning. I didn't read it but decided to stick with my soup. Every time I have come here the restaurant is super clean and service has been good so I hope they fix things! There are a lot of violations like 23. In Ga they require restaurants to post these by the door they should consider for Florida! Regardless my experiences here have been good. Food yummy but I will say they are a bit on the pricey side. I did just see some one sneeze in the sushi area twice so ummm ... I would come back but need to see improvement on that report and probably just for soup! read more

The food and service here is AMAZING. Our server was so kind! I was confused on what to get, so I asked her opinion. When she told me it's one of the only Thai places in town that makes their noodles from scratch everyday, I knew I had to get the drunken noodles. It was THE BEST drunken noodles I've ever had, no contest. I got it with chicken and shrimp. The noodles were nice, big, and chewy and the sauce was perfectly balanced with a hint of spice. Recently, I went to Thai Bayside II for the first time. It used to be Thai Smile. I had high hopes since it's so close to my house. Sadly, I won't be back, I'll drive the extra distance to Wasabi or Mai Thai. The good Service was great The bad I sit at the sushi bar, and the chef has his cell phone lying on the cutting board where he's making sushi, texting while making rolls. I'm by no means a germaphobe, but we know how much bathroom time cell phones get. As such, I didn't have sushi or the Thai fresh roll I really wanted. The good Portion sizes were huge. I got a small Thom KA, and it looked bigger than most anywhere else. Same for the curry, it was enormous. The bad The Thom Ka was ok, a bit on the sweeter side. The curry on the other hand, while a huge bowl was mostly broth, with a bit of onions and a few potato chunks floating around. I gathered up all the beef as shown in the pic, not much to say the least. Flavor-wise, I wish I could describe the flavor. It wasn't Massaman, more like just a bland curry powder without the added spices typical of Massaman. Overall, they are nowhere close to Wasabi or Khob Khun let alone Mai Thai. read more

We had been wanting to try this restaurant since moving near it. It's super clean and they utilize the space nicely with their setup. The employees weee all friendly and we were seated promptly. There were about 3 empty tables. We ordered the Panang curry and the Massaman curry. The Panang curry was unique in that it had broccoli instead of peppers. We've had Thai all over the world and never once had broccoli. Nevertheless it was tasty. We did miss the peppers but the broccoli was cooked nicely- not too hard and not so soft if just became mush. The Massaman was tasty with the onions. Seemed to have many onions. The potatoes were quite under cooked so it was not the best experience. Both lacked some flavor. Almost as if the liquid was cooked separately from the onions, potato's, cashews, etc. There is nothing wrong with their Thai, but they're on the more expensive side (even if by only a dollar or two) and we didn't feel the flavors quite matched what we have grown to love with Massaman and Panang- our Thai staples. We will probably be back because of proximity but it wasn't great, food wise, for us personally. read more

I came here on a date. The food was good. The service was good as well. I remember having Thai with my ex and my first time I ordered the red curry. The second I did as well. I just hate to order something new and I have to send it back. But the goal is to try something new every time. My date had the drunken noodles with a table sake. Few and far between is excellent fare found at one of these places that seem to be on every corner these days. Not to get ahead of myself, but after this experience, I assure you, the venery continues. "A" is our service non-professional today. I am a far cry from being a xenophobe, but if you are going to open a service industry place of business in any foreign country, doesn't it behoove your business interests to have at least one employee fluent in the native tongue? This is yet another Thai entry in an ever-increasing category of a place where no one speaks English and then appears to become agitated with you when you can't understand them. Taking a seat and perusing the menu, I thought this place was pathetic! Virtually every single roll had krab, and not that it matters, but the prices are outrageous for crab-flavored fish. Not that it contributed to the abysmal rating (that's all on the food), but the kid making take-out bags and sucking on his empty drink while snapping the 200 or so bags open is almost as annoying as someone mopping under your table while trying to dine; it just adds a more significant negative to the foul-tempered service and fish not suitable for an alley cat. I was informed that they were out of most items, and as it's only Saturday, my guess is the under-order is due to a lack of customers. At least they had enough Tuna for a Tuna Hand Roll and Chicken for an order of Thai Green Curry Chicken. The place is clean, albeit a ghost town, but sparkling. As we were the only customers present, our order was up in a flash. While the Tuna Hand Roll was certainly pleasant to the eye, it was not as such to the palate. The Tuna was on the wrong side of fresh. It wasn't fishy enough to spit out, but it was close. Could you look at the picture of what was billed as Thai Green Curry and answer one question for me? What is that? I was expecting Green curry, and I don't know what that was, but it certainly wasn't the Thai Green Curry to which I have grown accustomed. The Chicken was OK, actually cooked to perfection, and the curry was flavorful, but the rice? The rice was hard and crusty like it came from the nether regions of the steamer. This place is a gem hidden in my backyard. I order takeout from here all the time. I moved here during Coviid, and used take out. Now the dining area is set up for folks who want to dine in. I normally don't write reviews, but this place was good enough to have me wanting to write one. I just recently started liking sushi, so I've been going to more restaurants that serve it. I went here today to my mom out to dinner and I gotta say, this place is amazing. The way they make their food is unique, definitely different than most. The fried calamari for example. Usually it's prepared as bite size pieces, but here.. they're prepared like onion rings. I was pleasantly surprised with how they came out. They tasted great, especially with soy sauce. I had the super crunch roll for my main meal. The presentation was beautiful and they tasted fantastic as well. The only other thing I have to mention is how extremely polite the employees are. Possibly a little annoying for some people, but constantly making sure your meal is good, asking if you need refills, and asking if you are alright. To me, that kind of service is amazing. They are always good. The food and service is hit, fresh and quick. They have great Thai cuisine as well as some of the best Sushi in the area. My son and I often pop in here for and quick lunch or early dinner. The portion sizes are large enough to share and we did. My sister order was supposed to have medium spice. It was flavorful but to spicy to eat. Presently, I am residing in Bayside Lakes of Palm Bay, FL. Because it is constantly growing, we are getting more businesses especially restaurants we never thought we would ever have. For example, I never thought a Beef O' Brady's would ever open up in my area and now we have one in the Bayside Lakes Drive Publix Plaza. Near that same plaza, we have couple of other shopping strip malls, some with certain businesses you might be interested in. One of them is a Thai food place known as Thai Bayside. At first, it seemed as if were related to Thai House and other Thai restaurants of a similar nature. I don't know if they are or not, but I will say this Thai place is okay, but it is no Thai House or Thai Thai House. For reference, Thai Bayside is located in the shopping strip on the northwest quadrant of the Bayside Lakes Dr. and Eldron Blvd. intersection, the same one that has a Pizza Hut and Dollar General. The décor is very modern utilizing artistic interpretations of oversized silverware (you'll get it when you see it). There is apparently no open sushi bar so if you order sushi, you won't see it being made in front of you. As a final touch, the place did smell like it overused sanitary cleaner. The waitress was nice as she served me, taking my order of fried tofu and ginger chicken lunch special. The tofu was good but a bit too pricy for an appetizer consisting of two slices cut up into ten pieces. The main dish was good too, but it seemed lacking. The chicken was cut into very small strips and it seemed as if they were stingy in providing them. I love veggies but I do want my meat and veggie dishes to have a 50/50 ratio or even a 40/60 ratio. This seemed more like 20/80 with the former being chicken and the latter being veggies. Summarized, the place was A-Okay but I must stress it is not like other Thai House restaurants. I would also stress it is like ten minutes away from where I live so I would have given them an extra star for convenience, but I know that is not something everyone has. Honestly, there are a lot of Thai/sushi restaurants in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area. If you ask any local, they may each have a different favorite Thai/sushi restaurant. I can honestly say that our favorite in Melbourne is Sabai Thai on Hibiscus - we've been eating there nearly a decade. When we moved to Palm Bay, we were a bit sad that a lot of our favorite restaurants were just a bit too far (including Sabai). It got even worse when we had to stay home during the pandemic. We ordered Thai Bayside tonight and O.M.G., we have our new Thai spot. This was just as good as Sabai Thai. I'm wondering if it's not just a restaurant of clones of the chef(s) from Sabai.
