Amazing, the BEST buns I've ever had. Definitely worth the drive to Sanford, oh and don't forget to try the chicken wings.
This was a great find. I was down in Sanford, a brick and mortar got my eye. I am a sucker for Asian food. The service was helpful and so friendly. I ordered a bowl... pork belly bowl that is. This one bowl might make me come back from Leesburg. It's so worth the drive and yummy.
This was my first time at Hot Asian Bun's brick and mortar location. I had their food many times when they use to set up shop at UCF's campus every few weeks. They were delicious then and they are delicious now. These are the only bao buns I will not complain about spending more than $5 for, they are that good. These kimchi fried are also phenomenal and I have had nothing but good experiences with the people who work there including the owners.
Hot Asian Buns never disappoints! It's a small place with a few tables, but it's very aesthetic and welcoming. When you walk in, you order at the counter, they give you a number and then they bring the food to your table. Every time I'm there, they're always very patient and happy to answer any questions while ordering. The food comes out quick and it's always constantly good. The bao buns are incredibly dense and fluffy and they don't skimp on the meat. The kimchi fries are also delicious and not spicy. It is a bit pricey, but for the quality and amount of food, it's worth it!
This place is a little hidden gem, if you don't know where it is you will past it right by but it's the ambience is a small little cute restaurant with seating inside and outside with some good music. Food was really good I got the chicken buns and the beef buns with the loaded fries, and a lycee strawberry tea, I would go back just for the fries and the tea 1000% lol the service was nice and fast overall everything was good I'll give it a 8.7/10
I had the honor to be able to try Hot Asian buns after becoming a stand alone store and it is one of my favorite places to get BAO buns. Front staff is always amazing and BAO buns are made fresh every day giving the soft and fluff I'm sure we all enjoy. I recommend the beef bulgogi and loaded fries especially if you love kimchi as I do.

Ordered two items: TEMPURA SHRIMP BAO (Spicy Mayo, Eel Sauce, Red Onion, Romaine, Cilantro) - Very Tasty and was great starter LACQUERED PORK BELLY BOWL (Hoisen Sauce, Preserved Mustard Greens, Peanut Powder, Cilantro) - Pork Belly was melt in your mouth good. The pickled sides compliments it well. Definitely will be back to try the other menu items!
The atmosphere was vibrant, very playful and fun. Loved all the poster artwork on the walls. The staff was very friendly. My wife and I both tried the 2 bun combo. It was more food than I expected, but glad we got to try multiple flavors. The buns were some of the best texture I have ever had. The flavor was incredible. You can tell these weren't just throw together, there was some actual care given to making this food. The loaded Kimchi fries were so good my wife ended up stealing some of mine too haha. I tried their strawberry green tea drink, and it was delicious. I could not recommend this place enough, so if you're ever in the area, it's worth a little walk around the corner to stop in and try for yourself. I will definitely be back.

If I lived closer, I would probably come a bit more often. The baos were so fluffy! They make them in-house and they were so fluffy and soaked up the flavors so nicely. They packed the baos so much that it was a bit hard to bit into at first. The kimchi loaded fries were really good too! The toppings on it were just right. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which is nice, and the music wasn't at an uncomfortable volume, which made lunch time enjoyable. Parking may be a hassle in front of the store, but there's some parking lots nearby.
Amazing soft bao buns! Packed with flavors and worth $6! My son always gets their porl belly bowl. He is a regular customer there already. He goes there every week! At this point, it is a tradition for him to get his pork belly fixed. The crew and service are awesome. They probably know my son by now.

Our server was so kind and willing to answer any questions we had. We got our food piping hot 15 minutes after we ordered. The bao was so fluffy and packed with fresh ingredients and tender meat. The fries are crispy in the general, but the kimchi on the loaded fries is delicious! It was actually my first time trying kimchi, and I loved it. The food is cooked in soy oil, and although one member of our party was soy-intolerant, they loved the pork asada bao and fries. Unfortunately, the portions of fries were small in the bao combos. All in all, I would dine here again as an Asian cuisine lover!
I love the decor and aesthetic here! I had two bao with shrimp and Korean chicken and fries. Food is cooked to order and was fresh and flavorful. Fries had a frozen taste to them though, but were ok with the sauce on them. I loved they offered complimentary fruit infused water. Great local spot! Check it out
Great service, cute little place with great food! Everything was wonderful. We both enjoyed our meals. The Buns are made fresh there from scratch.

Started having their buns from the food truck, and so excited they have a brick and mortar! The location is easy to get to, plenty of inside seating, and really cute inside. I tried a lychee tea, gyoza, and two different buns. Their vegetarian options are great, and super flavorful. Service was quick, kind, and gracious. The woman who took our order gave some great recommendations and was super genuine and nice. I'm excited to come back! read more

This place is so good!! When I walked in it was a bit packed, but most of them were leaving just as I was taking a seat. They have a good menu, but ultimately I went with the Korean Chicken Baos. It didn't take long to get my food, plus I was a bit busy taking photos of the place because it's just so cute! Love the decor. Anyways the food was delicious! I really enjoyed the freshness of the slaw with the spicy chicken and sauce. Everything blended so well and the baos were nice and fluffy. I'm definitely going back to try the bulgogi next! read more
Hot Asian Buns is now one of our favorite places to eat in the downtown Sanford area. My husband and I split a bao combo, an additional bun, and wings. We enjoyed it all thoroughly but the wings were definitely the favorite. You order at the counter upon entering and food is later brought to your table. Not a formal dining setting. The interior of the restaurant was super cute and the service was good. We can't wait to go back! read more
What an amazing spot! I recently visited Hot Asian Buns in Sanford and had the best experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even better. I ordered the chicken bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was so crispy and perfectly cooked, and the flavors were on point. But what really stood out were the spicy carrots, they added such a nice kick and were the perfect balance to the dish. If you're in Sanford, definitely make a stop here. 20/10 for this spot This is the best bao I've ever had, the texture is spot on. It's not that waxy , doughy stuff you sometimes get. it's still fluffy & the filling is packed with flavor!! The bulgogi beef, chicken , the rice bowl & kimchi fries... all worth it!! The rice bowl was my favorite along with the chicken bao buns service was quick and food was made fresh , can't wait to come back ! read more

We stopped at this cute Asian restaurant because I am a sucker for a good crème brûlée. These guys absolutely nailed it. The Thai tea crème brûlée was creamy and delicious, and our chef was Michelangelo with the blowtorch, melting that sugar on top to perfection. I know a good crème brûlée when I have one, and I would recommend this to anyone. 5/5. read more
Overall, I'll give 4 stars! The staff were very friendly and the food came quickly! I had the fried chicken and the brisket Bao, and enjoyed both. The bao buns are good, soft and fluffy and the filling was good, adequate piece of protein and good toppings! The vibe is chill and it's a cute little store front. So why not 5 stars?? The fries! I got the combo with the kimchi fries, priced at about 15 bucks, not crazy in this day and age. But the fries were cold and dead! I don't know how long they had been sitting under the light before they served them, but they were certainly not fresh! I would still recommend Hot Asian Buns overall, the rest of the food was great and the kimchi topping was delicious! read more

Hot Asian Buns has the best Baos in Central Florida. OMG the Korean fried chicken bao is crispy, juicy, with a hint of spicy sauce and super delicious. They do have limited seating. It's super cute inside. The chicken wings take 15 minutes they make to order. The wings are huge. Overall I will come back. My favorite bao was the pork belly! The chicken wings were crispy and delicious. Save room for the Thai tea crème brûlée. read more

Soft Opening at the new storefront location in Sanford across the street from Foxtail. HAB is the definition of IYKYK. If you've ever hit a food truck event in CFL, you've had the pork asada or the shrimp tempura bao. You can get a bao combo here for $16 and load up on kimchi fries to boot. I have to call me back for either the Thai tea or the lychee green tea - or maybe both! Congratulations HAB for (finally) opening shop! read more

I fell in love with the food truck! It was hard at times trying to find an event where Hot Asian Buns was located but now they have a restaurant location in the most convenient place. Just across the street from Foxtail coffee in the downtown Sanford area! We can get our grub and cravings on because we NOW know exactly where to find them! Thankful.....they have the same great taste, same great quality as the food truck featured and it's nice to have a seat in the spot. Great customer service and just a cool atmosphere! Definitely stopping by here again to fulfill our cravings! Thank you to the owners of Hot Asian Buns for being so creative and pushing through all these events. Stopped by "Hot Asian Buns" in Downtown Sanford today. We're going to start out with Triple AAA's today. Their food was Awesome!! Service was the best. Nice street view on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I recommend the Crispy Soy Garlic Chicken. The Best outing for lunch I've had in a while. I truly recommend this place to eat. read more
