    Lots of great drink options

This is a really fun concept, just like the name suggests. It truly feels like hanging out in a backyard. The entire space is outdoors, with picnic tables, beautiful oak trees, and plenty of room to play on faux grass. We were especially excited for the swing for our kids, but unfortunately the swing was down during our visit. That said, there were still plenty of activities to keep them entertained, including life-size Connect 4, giant Jenga, ping pong, and cornhole. There was also a great DJ, which added to the overall lively atmosphere. The food was another highlight. They serve classic All-American favorites, the kind of dishes you'd typically grill in your own backyard, but elevated and even more delicious. Portions are generous, and everything tasted fresh. The wings were some of the best I've had, my husband really enjoyed his burger and fries, and my aunt loved the fish tacos. They also offer a kids' menu. Our son was a big fan of his burger. The biggest downside was the bugs. There were quite a few wasps and even some poisonous caterpillars (tussock moths) around. I understand the outdoor, "yard" concept, especially in Florida, but it would be great to see some added pest control measures. A few fans around the seating areas would also make a big difference. Overall, it's a super cute and unique spot. We'd definitely consider coming back, especially in the evening.

A great time was had! Despite coming in during a rainy evening, the seating allowed us to stay comfortable and dry. Service was friendly and fast! Everything was out in 5-10 minutes. The food and drinks were good, not great. The cocktails were fairly weak but they tasted good, not too sweet. Overall, the space is what truly shines! It's very family friendly with a fenced in area for pets and kids. After dark there's live music that isn't too loud where you cannot have a conversation. The tire swing was of course a highlight!

Back again! This is the sweetest stop halfway between Daytona and Orlando for meeting local friends. We just love the outdoor vibe while the kids play on the tire swing and make new friends. The food never disappoints, the service is quick, and the drinks are ice cold! We will visit again in a few weeks when they host a hole for the Sanford mini masters. The only downfall would be that for some reason the poisonous caterpillars attack once a year around this time - my daughter got stung when one fell from the tree, but that won't stop us from visiting again soon!

I came here a bit after lunch so my kiddo can enjoy some outside fun and games while waiting for our food. It's a nice open yard concept so children can go at it for a bit while parents can relax a bit if they want. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich it was on Texas toast. The toast was a bit soggy from all the sauce they added so I kindly asked for another toast. The sauce that's added is not hot at all but instead carries a bit sweet nice tang. I got the bbq beans as my side and it was meh - not horrible but have had better. The chicken was perfectly crisp and breaded and had a good season flavor. My son got the Mac and cheese I wasn't a fan and portion was huge. My sweet tea was to sweet so I added some lemon and water to try to fix it myself not a big deal I understand this is by preference. I cant say I am keen on returning but I see how it can be a spot of any locals in the area.

What an awesome place! Perfect outdoor area to hang out, play games, let the kids run around while you enjoy bites and beverages! We happened upon it during one of the festivals and we will definitely go back. The two server/bartenders we had were very helpful and kind!

We were recommended by a friend to check this place out since we're always in the Downtown Sanford area. I'll be honest - we've been down this road so many times that we didn't know this place existed. We parked across the street, walked right in and sat on the grassy area. Our server was Todd and he was so welcoming. Made sure we had our beers in a timely manner. We got the hazy IPAs, with the wings, pork sliders and coleslaw. The flavor of the wings were delicious, the pork sliders were juicy and coleslaw was cold and crisp. Wings are a bit on the smaller size but it did fall the bone. Live music started to come out so that made us stay longer with a couple of more beers. Downside -- yes there's a lot of kids running around, but it is a "family establishment." Bill was $80 + tip. We'd come back but maybe earlier in the day when it's less crowded with less kids. Thanks Todd for a wonderful experience! I hope next time yall have the ribs!

This is an update after a very disappointing experience I ordered the Back Yard Wings & Sweet Potato tots. I got a heads up that the toys would be sweet potato Fries. I was good with that but I got a pathetic amount of fries for $7. Ridiculously small & did not get the 10 wings. I pointed it out to the server and told they were not responsible for the plating or serving size. They just lost a customer & rating from me. I moved this up to a 2 star for responding to my complaints & brought me more wings. This was still a very disappointing experience.

Came to the Yardery on a beautiful day for lunch. The place was pretty empty so service was great. Our server had great attitude and vibes. The food however was very mid. We ordered their smash burger and pulled pork flatbread. The burger came out first and then the flatbread, about 5 minutes later which was strange. That being said, the burger was good. That flatbread however was well below expectations. Barely any pork, barely any sauce and the pineapple tasted like it was from out of can. Other than that, solid experience overall. Will try some different food next time and try to check out the vibes at night.

Great first-time experience at The Yardery the night of the Sanford Christmas Parade. This is the perfect place to bring friends and family to catch a game while actually playing a few (cornhole, ping pong, etc.). Lovely servers take your order and are quick to offer suggestions, if you'd like. I went with the Yardery Burger (next time, it will be the fish tacos which were also recommended) and fries. The burger is a double smash burger with candied bacon, fried onion, and Yard Sauce - scrumptious! I don't think I waited more than 5 or so minutes for my food to come out - wow! Everything was great and, while I sat at the bar, it looked like everyone around me was having a great time. I definitely recommend this dining jewel just off Downtown Sanford - it's a few extra steps away from the hubbub of Downtown, but it will definitely be worth it. Yum!

We popped in this place for lunch one day, looking for something to fill an afternoon. It's self seating so we chose a bench shaded with an umbrella. The restaurant is entirely outdoors with lots of pockets of shade. Our server came out within less than a minute to take our order and was really sweet and friendly. While we waited our little girls ran around playing foosball, jenga, and swinging on the tire swing. The "yard" is turf grass, very clean. We loved that the atmosphere was sanctioned for kids who don't like to sit still at restaurants. It let us actually have a conversation! We got a couple of cocktails-- a rum runner for me and a mojito for my husband. He didn't like his drink; said it was watery. But my rum runner was stunning and delicious. So refreshing. A little steep at $12 though, imo. For lunch we split the shareable mac n cheese for the girls, a Cesar wrap and sweet potato fries for me, and a burger and fries for my husband. Everything was delicious. I got the wrap more because I knew it wouldn't feel gross on my stomach in the heat, and anticipated the standard over-dressed but somehow still dry wrap. But this was honestly delish. Warm chunks of grilled chicken and just the right amount of dressing. The sweet potato fries practically melted in my mouth. They were the star. Those 5 items were just under $100, which is sort of bonkers. I'll probably stick to happy hour food/drinks next time. Towards the middle of our meal a pre-teen baseball team descended on the place, which dampened the experience though that's no fault of the restaurant. They took over all the games and were real loud. We had to keep a sharp eye on our kids to make sure they didn't get hit with cornhole sacks. All in all, I can't wait to come back here with our friends with kids. It's a great spot for families to have fun without needing a babysitter. Minus 1/2 a star for the high prices and another 1/2 because we got lucky on a day with a breeze, but they could use some well placed fans to keep it bearable as the summer heats up.

I ordered a mocktail and asked her to surprise me since there wasn't a mocktail menu. She brought a pineapple drink that unfortunately tasted off, it turned out the juice had gone bad.
