Man I really wanted to like this place but I just couldn't!! It is a really mundane place over all. The ambiance is that of every other bar, which in itself isn't bad but it is when you don't do anything to really stand out. I ordered the southern burger and their special of deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were really good but only 6 half eggs was $12. Way overpriced in my opinion. The burger looked really good but for $22 for the burger and the fries, it better be top notch. Burger came out over done, with the entire bottom bun completely soaked in juice. It basically fell apart by the end of the meal. I will say the fries were really good but for $45 with a tip FOR ONE PERSON this place is way over priced for what you get. I also thought my service was just okay as well. I went with a friend to Coaster's Cocoa Beach. Happy Saint Patrick's day! They were very busy. They were serving a limited menu with food and drink specials for the day. They had the traditional Irish fare. My friend ordered the Ruben sandwich with sweet potato fries. She commented on how much corned beef in the Sandwich and how delicious the fries were. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. Only $20.00. I received at least a half pound of very lean corned beef, red potatoes, carrots and steamed cabbage. A very generous serving. The corned beef was really lean , moist, tender, and very flavorful. What a great meal. They had traditional Irish music. Great atmosphere for the holiday. We had a great time. read more

We were in town just for the day and when we got hungry, I turned to my trusty yelp app. Once again, my fellow yelpers saved the day. We were welcomed immediately upon entering and decided to sit at the bar. The server/hostess/bartender recommended the shepherd's pie, and it was exactly what I needed. Cheesy, savory, flavorful. Hubby got the Mahi plate, and while he said it was good, it wasn't enough food for him, so he polished off my leftovers. Service was quick and pleasant. I walked in wanting a burger and left not regretting changing my mind. After several hours at the beach, my husband and I were hungry and wanted a good burger. After some time spent on Yelp, we found that Coasters had craft burgers. Perfect! We walked in to a wide open space that had a bar, high tops and regular tables. Looking at the menu, it definitely had craft burgers, but the first thing that caught our eye was pirogies. I can't remember if they were potato skin, or loaded but we were curious. Coasters has a wide range of food from wings, to a Cuban sandwich and fish & chips. Then we heard the specials and chose to go with the Swedish meatballs with mushroom cream sauce and wagyu steak. We were so glad we did! They had some great choices of craft beers, cocktails and sangria. My only regret was that I forgot my leftovers!!! A solid spot for good pub fare and craft beer near Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral This gastropub is conveniently located in the corner spot of a large shopping center at 5675 N Atlantic Ave #122 in Cocoa Beach. It's a great option for those in the area heading to or from Port Canaveral or the beaches. There is plenty of parking right in front of it in the shared lot. The inside is very nice with a a pretty modern look, and plenty of TVs for sports. You are seated by a host or hostess (a friendly host in our case). The inside seating is a mix of tables, booths, high-top tables, and bar seating. My friends and I sat at one of the high-tops. The menu is classic American pub fare with a good selection of craft beers on tap. I tried the Beef on Wick--it was excellent with a very soft bun, thinly shaved roast beef, and cheese. Food came out quickly. My friend got a steak and fries; it looked perfectly done and the presentation was very nice on the plate. The prices were a little higher than some restaurants but reasonable given the area, service, and quality of food. Overall, I would visit again and recommend it to fellow travelers wanting good pub grub. Enjoy! read more

I sat at the bar and started with their Big Storm "Wave Maker" Amber Ale 5.4% ABV. It was cold and refreshing with a nice mild taste. It was very good. For my meal I chose their Sweet Thai Chili Wings. They came out steaming pipe hot, tender and juicy and had a great sweet Thai taste. My server was attentive, friendly, and polite. ALLERGY FRIENDLY!!! Not only is the food and the service amazing at this restaurant, but when I informed them that I had peanut and shellfish allergies, they assured me that everything will be perfectly fine , and it was! This is the first place that I have been able to have fried foods while on vacation in Cocoa Beach (for a local restaurant, not a chain or franchise) the onion rings and the french fries were phenomenal. Probably some of the best fries that I have ever had. Extremely crispy on the outside, but tender, soft potato on the inside. The level of care in caution was above and beyond when I informed them of my peanut allergy and I ordered my burger the buns that they use are made outside of the restaurant in a facility that also processes nuts, and so when I ordered my burger, it came out with no bun But upon informing them that it should be fine. They brought me a bun with no problem. 10/10 for this place all the way! EDIT After calling 8 different places trying to find another place that I would be able to eat fried food on Sunday and having no luck due to everything being fried in the same oil, we went back for lunch to Coasters because we knew that it was safe. read more

I'm here on business and grabbed dinner here with a colleague. We chose it for the promise of a decent tap wall and we were not disappointed. I chose a really tasty IPA from Civil Society called "Fresh" and my colleague had a limited Belgian red amber ale, which he said was also very good. He ordered the exotic meat burger (Bison) and I had the Rueben. I liked mine and his was gone almost instantaneously. You could really taste the tangerine, but it was flatter than what we typically would drink. The red was sweet. The waiter George described it tasting like cherry he was correct. Everything! We went for breakfast and had the best eggs Benedict and Belgium Waffles. The service was excellent and the food amazing! We went back a few days later and they were no longer open for breakfast. We were disappointed but went back for lunch and we were so glad we did. Everyone loved their lunch. We had an amazing cheeseburger cooked to perfection, a turkey club with a massive amount of turkey that was delicious and a carved turkey dinner. Really enjoyed this place, kind of like a hybrid gastropub/sports bar. The burger I got was real good, it was the one with blue cheese. I actually got the extra hot buffalo sauce on the side to pair it with, and added jalapeños as well. The burger was real good, was cooked more medium well than the medium I ordered, but it was still juicy and good. It definitely looked like a 8 oz. patty as well. The tots were very crispy, and they had some good drafts on tap. They had the playoff football game on a few TVs, and I loved that they had the game sound playing around the bar - really drew you more into the game. Would definitely recommend! read more

We travel a lot and try to find staple restaurants while we're staying a month or so. I took my teenage daughter here. She was hungry so we stopped in. It wasn't packed or anything. My daughter has a hard time speaking up for herself and even I could tell that our server was rushing her. She wanted a Shirley temple but felt pressured to speak up quicker so she just said she'd like a sprite (she couldn't think of the name of the drink). I asked for a Coke. After she walked away my daughter felt defeated. When the server came back, I asked for two Shirley temples, one for me and one for my daughter. You'd think "no harm" after she dropped off the drinks, but I could see it on the servers face. I knew this wasn't going to be a good experience. She had this grit in her teeth communicating. My daughter was hungry and I was not so we ordered a burger split so my daughter didn't feel awkward eating alone. I had already apologized percussively about switching the drinks. Now at this point the server would roll her eyes as she walked away. She wasn't hiding her irritation anymore gritting through her teeth but instead she was full out rude and dismissive. When I asked for the check she dropped it off with one burger and FOUR SOFT-DRINKS! I wish I knew how to upload photos because I snapped a pic of the check. I can't make this crap up!!!. It gets worse. She ARGUES with me that bc we changed the soft drinks, she was charging the two of us for four drinks. I asked her to remove two of the drinks (I gave this woman an out. Like I would have never made this review if she hadn't done what she did next!!) She ARGUED. Said she can ask her manager to remove just one of them being the sprite without cherry syrup (Shirley temple ingredients) . I asked if there's cost on refills, but she stated that no, they do charge for soft drinks but since it's a different drink, she's charging me! I said that this makes no sense and she rolled her eyes and stated she'll ask the manager if she can remove it, like we're peasants and she's doing us a favor. I didn't speak to a manager because I watched our server as she walked straight to the machine and removed them herself! I'm willing to bet she never told a manager. I can't imagine this acceptable! I paid the tab, and tipped her over 25 percent including an additional "ghost entre" that I always add if we're sharing. So with all this said SPARE YOURSELVES! The food was okay BUT has the worst service in all of Florida! This restaurant has servers who bully kids to order quicker, lies about policy (IS THIS POLICY????) and KNOWINGLY overcharges and argues with you. This particular server lied to us, laughed like she "had me" in charging over six dollars more! I finally had the time today to write this review. RUN! Go anywhere else! Don't come if you're sharing a meal. Don't bring kids who don't speak up quickly. There are so many other spots and so many amazing servers to give your money to. An all American pub with really good food and friendly service. Set in a strip mall near the beach this taphouse has a menu to please anyone in the family. Rainy afternoon and we were looking for a good relaxing lunch and this place gave relief from the overcrowded tourist restaurants in the area. Tried the fish sandwich and it was fabulous. On our annual trip to the area we ALWAYS plan a night to eat at Coasters. The food, atmosphere and service has always been amazing and tonight was no different with one exception. We were so excited to bring my brother here for his birthday and after an amazing meal I asked about desserts. We were going to pick one and asked if they had a candle to put in the choice. Our server said they did not. When I asked another server he looked at me like I was an idiot and then the owner came over and we mentioned we were disappointed they didn't have any. He told us he for sure had candles at another "dive bar" he owned in the area but they didn't have any at this location. Very sad about his attitude making us feel silly for even thinking a family friendly place would have candles to celebrate. Note to self- will make sure we never go back on a celebration night. Didn't even care he lost the sale of what is more than likely an overpriced dessert. Bummed! read more

Coasters Taphouse is a pleasant eatery in the Cocoa Beach area. It is a good size restaurant with a full bar. It has definitely been around a while and it's a little worn around the edges. The service is friendly and attentive. We were greeted upon our arrival and immediately seated. Our server was knowledgeable and prompt. The burgers were the real highlight. Good meat well prepared with ample and yummy toppings. The sweet potato fries were crunchy and delicious. The Mahi Mahi was very dry. The veggies and the sauce were fantastic, but some of the Mahi Mahi was inedible. It was so dry. The lemonade was fresh and delicious. They have an excellent wine selection. At Coasters Taphouse, our waiter came out of the gate awesome and stayed there. Zane is now on my Top 5 Brevard Service List. The menu looked interesting and the food came out beautiful. If any of this seems familiar to my South Brevard beachside followers, it is because the popular Coasters Pub & Biergarten on Eau Gallie Boulevard in Indian Harbour Beach is under the same ownership. From the top of that day's Taphouse Food Specials menu, I ordered the Shrimp Dip, described as a sultry, homemade shrimp dip with chopped jumbo shrimp meat, tossed with sautéed veggies & sherry, folded-in cream cheese & baked with shredded cheddar-jack and served with warm pita. If that description didn't make your mouth water, see your dentist. The texture and flavors were executed flawlessly. The pita triangles were warm and soft. Mmm mmm good. Also from the food specials menu was the Coasters Club! When I saw this sandwich, it took me back to the 1980's and Hubbs Pub. Slow-roasted and sliced turkey breast, house-made pastrami, homemade coleslaw and thousand island dressing slapped within triple decker marbled rye. It came with a side and I chose broccoli. Yes, the Big Boy eats his vegetables too. The Elk Burger was the Taphouse's Exotic Burger of the Day. A half pound of elk meat chargrilled to perfection, topped with melted cheddar and beautiful slices of pickle, onion, lettuce and tomato, with a side of fries. Because elk is leaner than beef, I did notice the gamey nature of the meat. However, it was executed flawlessly. Big, thick and flavorful.
