Not bad at all. Only a few things that went wrong. Nails: excellent looking acrylics and nothing wrong with how it turned out. Service: great service and the lady wasn't rude at all. However she wasn't really talkative even though I tried to start a conversation. Price: full set of acrylics with regular nail polish cost me $45 including tax. They did not change up the price on me, I knew that this was gonna cost that much because I called ahead of time. Environment: not the cleanest and not luxurious. But it wasn't bad. The only bad thing was that there was a big spider by the sink, spinning it's web behind the soap bottle. Also one customer was getting a pedicure and she was coughing alot. Not to mention, she bought her kids in there with her. I came for my nails to be done, not to get sick. But obviously that wasn't the salons fault. I will probably come here again read more

Not the most luxurious by any means but perfect for my 90 year old mother. The tech was kind and gentle with her, put up with her poor hearing and confusion like he did it every day. I would love to give a higher rating. The young lady that did my nails was so sweet. The low rating is for technique. I kept pointing out where my cuticles were still in need of being snipped and she kept using the nail file. I finally ended up leaving without them painted. When you pay $60 for a REGULAR mani-pedi, with or without polish it should not look like you chew your nails and cuticles when you absolutely do not chew them. I paid the price and the funny part is when I was surprised at the cost, a different person copped an attitude. Didn't dispute the cost but the lack of quality for that price. read more

I have been using the salon for years. Not only is everyone there totally amazing and professional but I know when I go the job they do is always consistent and exactly what I want. Kylie should not be allowed to do pedicures. I had to return to the salon to get my toes fixed because they were so poorly done, yet I was given Kylie again. She shaved down half of the polish and redid them poorly again. I have never had a worse, lazier experience getting gel polish done. My toe nails are almost completely filed down. Extremely disappointed that I paid so much for this. read more

Used to be a great place to get your nails done. But now they are under new management and just don't seem to care. I have gone here for years and all of the sudden the paint started chipping and the nails were lumpy and rushed through. Not to mention the raise in price by the new owner. Not happy about this salon at all would not recommend to anyone read more

I went in to get a fill and a pedicure, with a French manicure, at Square One Nails in Northfield. I asked for the person who normally does my nails, and they said she wasn't there. I asked when she would be back, they said she didn't work there anymore. I asked if they knew where she had gone, and they said they did not know and that the shop was under new management. I should've left then, but against my better judgment decided to give them a try. A young guy took care of me, doing the pedicure first. As the tech was finishing my toes, I noticed that he only put white on the tips, no pink or nude color on the base of the nail. When I asked him if he was going to do that, he told me no. He said I had to ask for the paint part on the base of the nail. I told him I'd never had to do that before, and he seemed to get an attitude. I didn't like his tone (rude, disrespectful and unprofessional). He became argumentative, with back-and-forth dialogue. As a result,I told him no worries, let's just get finished and I just wouldn't come back. He went on to get loud with me saying 'Cool, don't come back!', continued to argue his point about color saying I asked for white tips. I said no, I asked for a French manicure which is not just white tips. So he said something smart to me and I just said well I just won't be back it's OK. I told him I've been getting my nails over 30 years and I've never had ask for the nd color of a French manicure. Then he mumbled something about 30 years, said something else under his breath and walked away. When he returned, his attitude was slightly better. As he went to start my fill, he then showed me a color for my nailbed and asked me if I wanted him to do my toes. I said yes if it's not too much trouble, he proceeded to put it on there... but with no base or topcoat, and most important never under the fluorescent light When he started my nails, I had one that was broken and told him to just cut it off and put on a new tip. He said it would be fine and proceeded to just put a layer of acrylic over it, polished the nails, put them under the light. I paid and I left. The very next day, then nail that I told him needed to be repaired, broke. I called them back and went back for a repair. Since then, the polish on my toes has already started to chip, the polish on my nails has chipped on all my nails and lifted on 2 of my nails. For this to be less than a week out, the service and the product are totally unacceptable. Needless to say, I won't be going back. Ever They really deserve no stars read more
