I tried to give this place another shot, looks like it got worse. I got a regular mani/pedi for $53. Kinda pricey I thought for the level and quality of work. The place was already busy by 10am on a Saturday. So a bit of a wait. A woman worked on my pedi, which was okay. The real issue was the gentleman who did the manicure. It was very rushed and he was very aggressive pulling at each finger as he worked on it. I had to show him areas of missing nail polish to fix. The polish chipped after a day!!! The tools used looked dirty. When I flinched from the pain as he was working on cuticles, he still didn't stop! Gives the worse hand/arm massage too. Painful!! There was polish on my fingers and outside of the nail. Overall very messy job! I sat under the dyer forever... the guy never checked on me or my nails. I will never come back! Decided to get my nails done after seeing how gorgeous my coworkers acrylics were (keep in mind she went to a different salon). Thinking that they couldn't be that different, I went to Exotic after being in the area already. Ended up genuinely not happy with my acrylic nails. The male technician did a very quick and choppy job. First problem, he glued the plastic nails on two of my nails at a slight angle. I had to correct him before he placed the acrylic on. Secondly, I don't think he filed the acrylic down in a natural slender shape, so they ended up looking thick and slightly unnatural. To add to this effect, the layers of gel polish he added were thickly layered and placed on a haphazardly fashion. The cherry on the cake is that my nails are starting to chip slightly within TWO days of being polished. Can't wait to get them reshaped and filled at a different salon... read more

The first time I ever got my nails done I had the worst experience, so I was really scared to try again somewhere. Exotic Nails did NOT let me down!! The customer service is great! Super sweet. They always make sure you're doing okay and you like the progress. The first time I came here, the lady on the right did my nails! She checked her work throughout and held my nails up to each other to double check they were the same shape and size on each hand! There was even a few times where she wiped off the polish and started again because she wanted to do it better. I thought it looked fine, but it was so awesome of her! Loyal customers would walk in and everyone who worked there would light up and get excited to say hi. Everyone is so nice here! The second time I got my nails done (black and gold) it was by the lady on the left! She took her time painting my nails. I was so happy with how they came out, but I did notice the nails on each hand weren't exactly the same size and shape as they were when the other lady did them. Not even super noticeable though! Do not go here!! I waited to write this review because my nails were done so poorly I wanted to see how long until they started to peel....one week. Exactly one week! I went because they were having a $40 mani/pedi special.....was up charged $35 and when I asked why was given the most BS response by the girl. I left furious! The pedicure was awful, AWFUL! I had gotten one a few weeks prior so my feet where in pretty good shape, when I left I had hang nails all over the place. The manicure was awful. Thinnest gel I had received in my entire life. There were bubbles and fuzz caught in it and the girl kept messing up and starting completely over! I was there for four hours!!!! And also had hangnails and my cuticles looked worse after than when I went in. Besides the fact that the service was awful, I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. The man working was disrespectful and inappropriate. Swearing up a storm and talking about the most vulgar things. I went to this place because I saw that it had the best yelp reviews for a nail salon in my area. However, the atmosphere inside is not good. It is super quiet with no music or TV playing, and the atmosphere is just not relaxing at all. My nails were not filed down well, and my thumbs were lumpy. However, the prices cannot be beat. A full set of acrylics cost just as much as a fill at other salons, so that is something to think about. My nails looked mediocre, but could have been better. I just got my first acrylic manicure here and I've found my new favorite salon! As the rest of the reviews said, Hai was amazing. He is a perfectionist with complete attention to detail. His shaping for my acrylics was amazing and he sized them perfectly. Any time my polish bubbled or there was any tiny imperfection, he'd fix it immediately. He also guarantees his manicures for a week, so if anything goes wrong or it starts to chip within that time, he fixes it for you! Usually if places are shitty, they won't bother with that. He does such good work that I probably wont ever have to cash in on the guarantee, but it's still nice to have anyway. This is easily the best manicure I've ever had, but the quality of the overall experience was great too! The place was nice, quiet, clean and it's a bit of an undiscovered gem considering how awesome the service is. Not to mention that Hai was absolutely hilarious. I was dying of laughter the whole time. He really does care about his customers and takes pride in doing a good job just for the sake of providing an excellent service. My friend got a gel manicure by his brother and she was laughing the whole time as well. Her nails were very short and her work causes her nails to be brittle and break a lot, but he made them look great! When we were leaving, my friend and I were so caught up in talking about how much we liked it here that I forgot my phone. Once he found it he ran to the parking lot to make sure I got it. The young lady who did my manicure and pedicure was great, however the polish on my toes started falling off two days later. I went back two weeks later to have the gel removed from my nails and the guy who did it was rough and my nails still have a lot of glue and grooves from where he sanded of the shellack! Came here on a whim and in desperate need of a full set before any shops closed. I had been driving from Columbus to the Cle airport and this salon was very close. They also were due close 45 mins from the time I called and when I did call to see if they had time for me, the manager/owner was glad to help me. This was honestly the highlight to a rough week for me and he took his time, stayed even after they were supposed to close, and treated me with the utmost kindness and respect. I felt like a welcome guest in someone's home. They offer complimentary beverages and have an enormous selection of gel colors. I showed my tech a picture of a design I liked and he made my nails just like I wanted them to look, all the while treating me kindly and respectfully and being totally patient with my neurotic self! Found this place through yelp. Have been trying to find a new salon since moving back to Cleveland. After coming in for a walk-in definitely has jumped to the top of the list after checking out 3-4 other salons in the area! I called and asked if they could take a walk-in in the next 10 minutes. They said yes. Showed up and they led me straight back to the chair. The technician spent a ton of time on my pedicure (I hate when I feel rushed by technicians in this process) and even went back after I asked him to first cut my nails shorter and then second go back and check out a potential hang-nail spot I thought I might be having. This was my first time at the location. I came here because of the great reviews. I left disappointed. The only pros were the prices and the nice older lady that did my nails. It looks like their pedicure supplies are never cleaned, and that grossed me out. She didn't wipe down the foot bath after I was done. I just don't feel it's very sanitary. Went to this salon for the first time today. Wanted a simple fill. The wait was 50 minutes, and I was ok with that. Price of the fill was impressive $18. I had ombré acrylics white/clear from before. The guy when he started my feel said that I have a gel on. I told him no, because in order to do gel you need the light and I never had the light. He took the engine polisher they usually use to take off some of the acrylic and run Over my acrylic and unfortunately regular nail. This hurt to the point I had to say something.My nails look ok, and I'm not here to complain about that. My biggest complaint however is that I was told WHEN I WAS TO PAY that I owe $27, because of the gel polish I had on before! He never told me about the up-charge before doing my nails, nor he did anything to take any gel off my nails, besides what they usually do. My friends and I came here for a divorce party (Don't worry it wasn't sad). We asked for 3 pedicures. Friend 1 was serviced by Lam and she stated it was the best massage she's ever had. Lam was friendly but not overly chatty and very professional. Friend 2 was serviced by Jenna who is really sweet. She seems to still be in training and her work could use some more practice. Friend 3 (me) was serviced by Hai the manager. While his work was excellent his professionalism left much to be desired. I made a comment about the feel of the massage chair while joking with my friends and he interjected with his own joke, offering anal sex. We exchanged glances and awkwardly laughed it off. We mentioned the divorce party as our reason for visiting the salon that day and Hai asked from whom my friend was getting the divorce. When she stated it was from a black woman he responds by saying "well, that's where you fucked up." We are 3 black women. He also went on to say he had dated a black woman in the past and "you all talk too much." We were offended but once again tried to brush off his inappropriate comments and enjoy the rest of our girls outing. Lastly, while my girlfriends and I were joking about who was treating us to the pedicures today Hai interjected once again stating to me that he was looking for a Sugar Baby. All in all, we would not patronize this location again. It is unfortunate because they have good technicians and a good nail shop is often hard to come by however I'd rather spend my money with someone that respects their clientele. read more

I love going to exotic nails and getting my nails done by Sang. He does amazing job, takes his time to make sure your nails are done the proper way and that you happy with his work. Sang is the only one I go too. Call make appointment with Sang. But make sure you call a day or two to make your appointment he books up fast. I also love getting my pedicure done their also. I was super excited to try it because of all the high ratings, and I even made an appointment- which I rarely do. An appointment turned out not to be necessary, and now I probably know why :( first, the girl who did my nails was amazing. She really took her time and they look PERFECT. She was so nice and really made sure everything was done right. This was probably one of the best pedis I've ever had to be honest. But the whole overall feel of the salon was just really dirty to me. It was disappointing. The utensils came from lord knows where, I didn't witness any cleaning of utensils, and I felt that the salon was run down. That's just my opinion I guess. I may come back just to see the girl who did my nails, but I'll for sure think twice about it. The woman next to me definitely had black toenails. BLACK. TOENAILS. and I would be repulsed to find out they don't properly sterilize after something as grotesque as that. Not sure if I want to take my chances. My mother and I went to this salon to get manicures. We both wanted gel nails, hers as just an overlay and mine a bit longer (stiletto style, using forms). When we got there the manager said they only do hard gel (and tried to tell me theres no difference between hard gel and acrylic). Okay, so I agreed to just get acrylics and my mother agreed to get gel polish. The tech doing my nails, the manager, acted so inconvenienced by wanting a full set and tried to talk me out of it numerous times before we started. As someone who has a cosmetology license and someone with brittle weak nails, I was beyond annoyed. I just wanted my service over with at that point. As conversation went throughout the service I mentioned that I was licensed and the tech ridiculed me for having a license but not currently working in a salon. When all was said and done the tech joked that he didn't want to see us again (I would've thought he was serious if he didn't say he was joking). Congratulations, you won't. read more

Outstanding customer service. Place was mobbed with clients on Friday evening and they're busy for good reason: reasonable price, excellent quality, and superb customer service. I've found my new regular salon. The owner stayed an hour after closing to accommodate my last-minute service request. Free bottled water offered as well. One-week guarantee and he also placed two acrylics for free for me to even out my gel manicure. I've been going to a hair salon based manicurist who has provided the same level of service but the cost is about double what I paid here. read more
